I just came back to tell you that I tried this last night and my family loved it. Even my little sisters who are very picky eaters came back for seconds! I wasn't going to use the peas but I decided to try it since I had some in the freezer. My mom made the suggestion of using some sort of honey glaze on top of it, so I might try that next time. Thanks sooo much for sharing! You've earned a new subscriber :D
Zac, Matey you have a real knack for communicating cooking for others to access dishes they might not ordinarily be able to cook. Brings those ideas into range. And you do it simply. Kudos fella
Add cheese, green pepper or any sweet pepper, broccoli, green beans. I've put broccoli or green beans in my scrambled eggs with cheese and it taste wonderful! Thanks for sharing your ideas there great!!
Think you should cook the bottom of the pastry 1st for around 10/15min so you dont get a soggy bottom then layer up the pie and add sliced potatoes in the layers this would make it more of an all round meal in one and a nice strong cheese grated on top would be delicious. Yum yum
@@probablecausetocheckhard-drive I love your thinking. You're bang on right with the beans. I think sliced potatoes is good or what about grated potato and onion..american style hash bown topping 😊. Oh my gosh I'm in food heaven
Hello, Was watching a program on cooking. Today was the first time ever hearing of bacon and eggs pie. Looking forward to new and simple recipes. Will make this one tomorrow. Thank you. 🍴
here,s a tip, after you lay down the first pastry throw it in the oven and cook it first ,then pull it out of the oven then add your filling then throw it back in the oven
I tried this recipe for my kids when they came for tea tonight and they loved it! So did I. However, the layers in mine were not as distinct as yours. Beaut recipe!
I think its good how you like to reply to your viewers. You also have a nice looking channel. Nice videos aswell. Subscribed cant wait for new videos :)
looks good i shall go ahead and make one with the addition of some hot Chilli peppers & when cooked i shall cut it up into single portions & freeze as i am the only one that will eat them ,
I’m definitely going to try this for myself & family 👌🏻I have even shared with friends by pushing shared button to my different friends on what’s app .all the best for 2021 happy new year 🥳👍🏻😃
I wish it was my friend! Its actually beginning to look like i may need to shop around for another pan in the not too distant future :( Thanks alot mate, you have been pretty much an avid supporter of every recipe i stick up. Its really appreciated, honestly!
Thanks alot. It means alot that people can follow my recipes and instructions. Thats all i would like from this is too educate others on how to cook a whole range of things. So thank you!
OMG I lived in the UK for over 10 years and especially at the mall I would stop at the pie shop and get a Big Slice of bacon and egg pie with mushrooms, it had a lovely cheese sauce. now I'm going to have to make a pie! and it made me think of custard slice so now I'm going to have to make custard slice. I just want to move back with to Australia.
Hi, i just tried this yesterday and im glad i did, its got all the flavours and the puff pastry was beautiful, the only thing is the egg whites didnt cook through properly, what would you suggest? just give them a while longer?
Like ur videos, ya make it way too simple to cook, lol. Uhmm..ill have to try some of ur recipes especially those that use puff pastry. I've not cooked with puff pastry before so itll be an adventure! Great voice that goes along with the videos lol. Thankz for sharing!
Since you used British style bacon, which is mostly pork loin, what would be the American alternative? American bacon is from the side belly. Called "streaky" bacon in the UK. I suppose ham slices would work. I don't know if there is anything similar to British bacon in America. Thinking about American alternatives. Napales is a great vegetable alternative, it is the flat bladed cactus leaves. Napales is Spanish for cactus. Remove the thorns and tough skin before use. Napales is available at most grocery stores. Steam or microwave to soften and cook. Use as you use peas. Cactus is tasty stuff. Just don't eat those thorns. Other cactus types are Sonoran and barrel cactus. Cannot eat those.
Your accent. :) The one with a British/ Australian/ Kiwi sound to it. So so........ugh! I can't find the exact word but it is really pleasant to the ears :)
+Ragmac Annabelle That would be an NZ accent, but an educated one. Closest British similar accent is between Bristol Reading and Oxford. A less educated accent can sound much more like an Australian one, but to be fair educated Australians (rare as they are) can sound like educated NZrs.
Good kiwi recipes dune easy. Love the bacon and egg pie, Also I really love the fish cakes, I've made them twice, and now I've decide to make the fish cakes a weekly habit. I make fish soup with the juice, it's fricken nice as. What's next dude.
That looks yummy ill have to try that one day... but as few ppl said there will be cheese in there,, no Pees YUCKY so Corn and Capsicum will go insed .....thanks for sharing thou :)
Thanks man! I have got a tutorial on french toast, its got banana in it, but if thats not what your into just leave it out and cook just your pieces of toast.
It may be me who missed it, but I didn't notice the temp to cook it at when it is in pie form. Temperatures are the things I suck at the most, always unsure what is too high/low. Looks nice though :)
Awesome stuff mate ! Great, easy delicious recipe. The whole family love it. Thanks for uploading lots of videos. Another subscriber. Do you have a cheese cake recipe by chance ? Happy cooking ! !
Cooking4Students Is it New Zealand style, like light? Cheesecake here in the U.S. is a bit too heavy for my taste. :-/ Passion fruit on top would be to die for!
I'm sure we had something similar at school. was thinking baked beans instead of peas might work and piped mash on top instead of pastry might work. Not saying use doesn't look lush
Thanks for sharing. Your bacon and egg pie looks so delicious. Have a great day.

I was thinking a piped on mashed potatoe lid but layed potatoes would work. Was also thinking baked beans instead of peas
@@probablecausetocheckhard-drive I love your thinking. You're bang on right with the beans. I think sliced potatoes is good or what about grated potato and onion..american style hash bown topping 😊. Oh my gosh I'm in food heaven
Very nice. I’m glad that the bacon has been cooked first. The onions will also give it extra flavour.
Hello, Was watching a program on cooking. Today was the first time ever hearing of bacon and eggs pie. Looking forward to new and simple recipes. Will make this one tomorrow. Thank you. 🍴
Instead of peas, i will use green peppers!! MMMmmm!!! Cant wait!!! Looks so good!

Nah peas are better
I made this Christmas morning a couple years ago. I added celery, peppers, Italian sausage and lots of cheese! ! It was so good!
here,s a tip, after you lay down the first pastry throw it in the oven and cook it first ,then pull it out of the oven then add your filling then throw it back in the oven
eugene davis Good idea Eugene, I suppose that will get the bottom nice and crispy!
+eugene davis the same idea works for a pizza crust so it will be crisp and not soggy.
how long do you cook the bottom for?
untill it rises of course, then throw the filling in then cover it with the pastry top
eugene davis do that and you'll have one helluva mess...
Ohhh this old chicken is baking bacon and egg pie for dinner tonight!!! And have it for breakfast tomorrow morning 😉 Thanks for sharing young man🤗

Hi, i just tried this yesterday and im glad i did, its got all the flavours and the puff pastry was beautiful, the only thing is the egg whites didnt cook through properly, what would you suggest? just give them a while longer?
Definitely, a wee bit longer, the pie itself should bloat significantly as the egg whites cook!
Thank you so much! I always make it when we have a couple of guest coming over, goes down a treat!
Awesome stuff bro!!!!! Can you do a tutorial on french toast? Thanks!
Like ur videos, ya make it way too simple to cook, lol. Uhmm..ill have to try some of ur recipes especially those that use puff pastry. I've not cooked with puff pastry before so itll be an adventure! Great voice that goes along with the videos lol. Thankz for sharing!
