Wanna make banana bread sweet? I peel and freeze very spotted bananas, then when I am ready to make banana bread, I thaw the bananas over a colander. You end up with quite a bit of "juice" then you boil that juice down to make a banana syrup and use it in your banana bread recipe along with your other ingredients. Pretty yummy and more banana-ee flavour.

I recently gave up maple syrup in my oatmeal and I’m down to 1 tablespoon to make my salad dressing that lasts me 3 days. I stopped all other sweet foods too. I swear even cauliflower tastes sweet to me now! I’ve never had a big sweet tooth anyways but I’m definitely sensing my body adjust also. Life without sugar is sweeter!

This is why I only use homemade date paste in desserts now. It's almost as sweet as maple syrup but still has the fiber intact and is a whole food. It takes some experimenting but I now have great wfpb recipes for banana bread, brownies, muffins, you name it.

Oooh your raspberry oat bakes look so good. My Dad used to bake raspberry buns as a treat when we were growing up they were amazing but obviously very full of sugar so I will try your version for a healthy version that I could eat regularly ❤
