Instead of margarine/butter, I use nuts/seeds blended with water...so for 2 T margarine, for example, put 2 T cashews in measuring spoon and fill spoon with water in the spaces between the nuts. I usually blend this with the wet ingredients OR make a larger batch in a small blender container and freeze the rest by tablespoons in ice cube tray.
Hot Fudge Pudding Cake: I grew up in the Montreal area. There was a boxed cake mix to make this. Haven’t had it in …dare I say it… decades! As I recall, there was a chocolate and a lemon flavored mix. It was a rare treat in our house (Mom only made it once or twice a year). Gotta try this version.
For the pudding, instead of the vegan butter, I would add soaked macadamias, with the whole pudding blitzed in the Vitamix. Macadamias are the fattiest nut so they would add that creamy texture and a subtle but delicious flavour.
Thanks this is great and I’d love part 2. I’m wondering if you could use PB2 instead of the vegan butter? Peanut butter and bananas is a great combo and this w up old be lower fat.
When you're doing the fudge pudding and saying this doesn't make sense I'm sitting here thinking that's a self saucing pudding I grew up with these, usually from a box.
When a recipe calls for the butter at the end like that one did, it might be fun to divide it in half and do a taste test both ways! Extra dishes, though. Great episode. I really enjoyed it.
I love that you add the recipes in the description box, bc it helps me find the ones you've reviewed! I like to go back and recreate them with your recommendations myself! Thank you! 😁👍🏻💯
We made the Butterfinger bars this afternoon. We never got them in the UK but I did try them in the US before going PB and these tasted very similar. Super easy and like yours looked like 💩
If you store your peanut butter in the pantry or cupboard, you don’t have to worry about microwaving it. Just stir and use. I’ve never heard of keeping it in the fridge.
No need to soak. In the machine it's roughly 3 cups of milk to 2/3-1/2 cup of (whatever). When I used to make it in blender it was 4 cups water to 1 cup (whatever)
Oh, yum, yum, yum! I love a good reminder video of all your family's favorite recipes! The desserts all look so good! I want to make them all, except the pumpkin pie (not a fan). The butterfinger, the fruit cobbler, the hot fudge cake with ice cream, the apple nachos (great idea) and the crispy gingerbread cookies, to which I will add vanilla ice cream and make an ice cream sandwich! Yes to a Part 2. A video of adults vs kid's favorite recipes would be fun. You guys crack me up. too. I literally LOL at times watching your family. 😂💖
In Montreal, I grew up on “ pouding chômeur “ similar to hot fudge pudding but made with maple syrup and can be switched to chocolate just by adding cocoa powder. I haven’t made it since starting my plant based journey. I’m so excited to try it ! Thanks! ❤
I would love to see a compilation or playlist of the recipes you tried and liked before you did the cookbook review. I have purchased or borrowed many of the books you enjoyed and would love to know what other gems are in them and what sort of swaps you did. Does that make sense?
It makes sense - but most of the books are ones we hadn't tried before, so there's only one or two that would qualify for it. This could be a conversation we could have in a Mighty Network thread if you want to start one up in there! :)
Annie, you’re a genius! The butterfingers- oh my gosh!!! Jeremy, I am one of those people who doesn’t like warm fruit 😢. However, considering the fact that I LOVE ❤ pie ( I just prefer it room temp) - I hope we can still be friends…
Omg! I want to come live with you guys! You have so much fun. And I want to eat food with you. I really appreciate the care you all put into your ratings. Yes I love warm fruit. And I love butterfingers..could be dangerous lol
Just found you and I have already subscribed after 1 minute. Love your energy and the concept of your channel. I am so excited to have found this channel
I'm not joking I seriously binge- and even watched some more then once. So many still in my saved- intend to watch so many more- really like hanging out w u guys. ALYCE- Queens NY
The girls just about died when they heard their names, had to rewind it twice 😂 totally perplexed Question. I’ve been doing the yogurt like the plant pure cookbook suggests recipe wise which is how I think you also do it, except in the IP. Do you find your homemade yogurt gets a little grainy? I’m wondering if my IP yogurt setting is too hot.
I'm so glad they heard it!!! What are you making the yogurt from? That could be the cause.... Do you know the temperature it's cooking it at? Should aim for between 110-115 F
@@pbwithjeremy I’ve used westsoy and eden organic and silk soy no additives, not sure the temp, my instant pot just says “yog” I think, does yours have a temp?
My mother use to make this in the 1950’s. You can also substitute lemon for chocolate. She would stir the Cocoa into the boiling water then pour it over the top of batter. I think it came from the Betty Crocker cookbook.

Great tip!
How about a compilation of quick lunches or packable lunches? Love the way you all say pasta; we say it pahsta south of the border.
Ha. We've been called out for that before :) And that idea is on the list :)
Of course we want a part 2 and any other compilation will be warmly received bring em on
Chocolate pudding cake is a depression era recipe. I have a recipe from my grandmother that’s very similar.
Love this video and your family as always are wonderful. I like the compliations a lot.

Silken tofu instead of butter for the smooth texture and creamy feel

Thanks for the tips!
I love warm fruit 🍎! I’d actually prefer the fruit cobbler over the Butterfinger, and I love the combo of chocolate and peanut butter.
Thanks this is great and I’d love part 2. I’m wondering if you could use PB2 instead of the vegan butter? Peanut butter and bananas is a great combo and this w up old be lower fat.
Which recipe are you thinking?
When you're doing the fudge pudding and saying this doesn't make sense I'm sitting here thinking that's a self saucing pudding I grew up with these, usually from a box.

When a recipe calls for the butter at the end like that one did, it might be fun to divide it in half and do a taste test both ways! Extra dishes, though. Great episode. I really enjoyed it.
Brilliant ❤. Maybe a neutral-ish nut butter like cashew?
Great idea!

Could you use coconut cream instead of vegan butter Johanna here from Brattleboro Vermont.
For which recipe?
As a kid, butterfinger bars were my favorite. I am shopping tomorrow so will be giving these a try. Today, I am trying the pudding.
Let us know what you think!
Love warm fruit! Can you switch out date sugar or syrup in place of coconut sugar?
Yes you can!
Do you soak the pumpkin seeds before you make the milk? What are your ratios?
No need to soak. In the machine it's roughly 3 cups of milk to 2/3-1/2 cup of (whatever). When I used to make it in blender it was 4 cups water to 1 cup (whatever)

I believe that one was So Delicious
“I’m sorry - that’s a weird way to say please” lol That had me cackling 😂
Yeah, family favorite weekday and/or weekend meals, please 😁
Maybe try tofu or avocado for butter???? I know using the avocado would trun the pudding green. I love warm fruits.
Joshua from the Bronx New York 🎉
Hi Joshua!
I’ve made the ginger snaps and love them.

Yes, Part 2
I am living vicariously through you since I don’t make desserts because there are only two of us at home and I would end up eating the whole thing.
Just make smaller portions! Or freeze them :)
Straight Up Foods by Cathy Fisher has a great Apple dessert !
Love the "like pudding but better" 👍 cake 👍
My idea of pumpkin pie- no crust! I can’t wait to try it.
Love Woolies dish washing techniques 😂😂😂😂

You could try coconut cream for the banana pudding.

Hi from DE

Yours should have a manual setting where you can adjust the temperate within a few degrees...'
@@pbwithjeremy thank you I’ll check that out!

What about avacado instead of butter?
Worth trying!
