    Saying merry Christmas is not exclusive, it is inclusive because as christians we honestly want you to be happy aand have a wonderful season. We do not ask others to say it back only sharing in our love language as we allow others to share in their love language. When people try to take away something that makes you you that is not inclusive.
    So many want to change others using “all inclusive” reasoning, but if that were the case how we express love during the holidays be it merry chrsitmas which is christmas at its core, or happy holidays would not be attacked or requested to be changed.
    Inclusivity means all inclusive so allow merry christmas and happy holidays asking to omit how someone expresses is not inclusive.

    • @pbwithjeremy
      @pbwithjeremy  7 месяцев назад +2

      If you know someone else celebrates Christmas then I think it’s totally fine to wish them merry Christmas. But if you don’t know then why not just be safe and make it more generic for the season? There’s at least 14 holiday celebrations between now and the end of Jan. To each their own but I don’t see the harm in being inclusive.

      I cannot worry about offending everyone i meet, i show kindness and love to my fellow man. I wish them well, and try to do kind acts. If i choose the wrong way to welcome or part with someone that is not my fault if i am being a kind compassionate loving person.❤
      I will take my chances by kindness and honestly i am not a “holiday” person gifts and presents is not what it is about anyways.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
      We should worry less about offending and more about loving that is my goal in this life spread love and joy give someone a smile. You never know what another person is going through, a smile a kind word that is what people need love❤ you give that and i have not offended anybody yet this way.

    I would strongly suggest that you print this recipe, then watch the video while tracking the recipe. You’ll discover little nuggets like roast a large garlic with about 6 toes in aluminum foil. You’ll add this to the small bowl of 3 T Dijon mustard to make the base of the galette, using about 2 T of that mixture for the base. Also, check out the instructions when mixing the cooked squash before adding to the crust for more directions. The recipe says 400 deg oven but the video says 375, and to rotate it after 15 mins. I can’t wait to make it, and I’ll let you know how it turns out. Love the channel! I’m also making the Roasted Winter Squash for my carnivorous family, and the roasted tofu with cloves for ME while they eat turkey.

    Great video with lots of delicious food recipes. Even before anyone in our house went vegan we didn't eat turkey or ham for Christmas. We did tamales with all the other usual holiday fixins. We now do vegan tamales. I agree Happy Holidays includes everyone and leaves no one out. I also think when greeting someone, we should keep it neutral so no one is left out of the greeting or miss gendered. I have a child who is often miss gendered. Merry Christmas or a gendered greeting doesn't offend me. It just hurts my heart to see my child miss gendered. I just want to make sure I include everyone. This is my opinion and I don't expect anyone to agree. Happy Holidays to everyone. ❤

      Absolutely- the whole reason we are celebrating these particular holidays is due to Christmas and not holidays in general - every culture can wish whatever specific holiday celebration they choose - for me it’s happy winter solstice on the 21st and Merry Christmas on my Merry Christmas cards with love and blessings

    I live in Red Beach which is on Auckland, New Zealand’s, North Shore. Christmas is in midsummer here and the traditional Christmas dessert is Pavlova which is a meringue base made with sugar and egg whites, baked then filled with whipped cream and fruit, usually strawberries. I’m sure the base could be made with aquafaba but not sure about how to make the whipped cream.

    • @pbwithjeremy
      @pbwithjeremy  7 месяцев назад

      Here's how to make the whipped cream with aquafaba - to make the merigue you just bake it - but then you can also make more to keep unbaked for the whipped topping

That said, your family is delightful, your humor is genuine and I happily watched it all the way through. Subscribed. Thank you for posting so many wonderful recipes.
    I default to Happy Holidays unless I know the person celebrates Christmas. I'm fortunate to live in a multicultural area so I get greetings for Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Diwali and others and I'm grateful for all of them since every expression is one of kindness and best wishes. One of my favorites is 'Happy Whatever Doesn't Offend You'. Life's too short not to give or gracefully receive niceness from others.

Your salad mixture with quinoa from your giant wrap video! Serving it as the salad for the meal. I’ll add chickpeas to mine to round it out because this is not a plant based Chanukah party. Can’t wait for it! Have a happy holiday season!

    • @pbwithjeremy
      @pbwithjeremy  7 месяцев назад +1

      It's a thickener to make a custard BUT Ii you have cornstarch and vanilla extract on hand, you can easily make a substitute for custard powder. Simply mix 2 tablespoons of cornstarch with 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Should do close enough of the trick -and to get the color of it just a pinch of turmeric.

    Probably a silly question, but is icing sugar the same as powdered sugar? 🙃
    Also, Happy Holidays is more appropriate. I think that maybe some people are just so focused on their own experience that they don’t even recognize that there are many holidays during this season. And then some people are just meanies.

    Hi Jeremy, I went to the doctor and she said that my proien is low. My hair is falling out. I eat a high protein smooth in the am, and now i put tofu in it to boost it. I eat a lot of beans and veg yogurt. I'm on a calorie deficit of 1500cal. It's very well balanced and I use my fitness pal. I'm 60yrs old and weigh 221.I used to weigh 385 pounds. I'm loosing very slow, 1 or 2 pounds a week. Can you give me some idea on how to add protein. Sorry so long

    • @lucieclemons5463
      @lucieclemons5463 7 месяцев назад +1

      Oh my gosh that is such a huge deficit! I don't know how you do it. I just wanted to let you know that when I lost a good amount of weight last year I realized that my hair was falling out faster than normal, and found out that this is not unusual, and is temporary. Of course I don't know about your situation, but I hope that is reassuring.
      For protein, I like peanut flour if your calorie plan will allow it. It's much tastier than the pea protein I bought and don't use😊. But the pea protein is much higher in protein for the calories. (15 grams peanut flour vs. 32 grams for the pea protein, for 130 calories). I know most grains are pretty good sources of protein, and you already mentioned beans. Best wishes on your health goals❤

    • @sharonstrika364
      @sharonstrika364 7 месяцев назад

      Hi Lucie, I though 1500 was a good daily calorie goal. What do u suggest?

    • @pbwithjeremy
      @pbwithjeremy  7 месяцев назад +1

      Hey Sharon - when I was losing my weight I aimed for around 1500 a day as well - I made that work just by eating whole foods - which are very filling and lower in calories. LOTS of veggies, fruit, etc.... you can add beans to your smoothies as well. And 1-2 pounds a week is NOT slow at all. That's actually a good and healthy rate as which to lose weight. Sounds like you're doing everything well. I would get a second opinion after your doctor - doctor's are notoriously under-educated when it comes to nutritional information generally speaking. And a lot of people think we need more protein than we do. There's harm in over-eating protein as well. If you eat a well balanced WFPB diet then you should be getting more than enough protein. I recommend Dr. Michael Greger's book "How Not to Diet" :)
