I think it would be fun for the kids to get the same basket of ingredients and compete head to head to see how different and successful they both can be with the same basics!
I echo what kris4555 said. I really enjoyed this and would like to see more. The competition was fun and Mother Dale did a great job with her explanations of her ratings! 👏👏👏 I would choose tempeh as an ingredient for the next one.
This was so fun, I think u should do this once a month or quarter. Next time I suggest that the ingredients u pick can NOT be used by the other. Looks like u both used onions and garlic. Loved how the whole family got involved. Maybe next time do teams. Excited to see the next challenge. 💕💕
Loved this! ❤ Next challenge as many of these as you choose: pumpkin seeds, sesame seeds, miso, kale, sweet potato, quinoa, peas, corn, carrots, red bell pepper, steel cut oats, mushrooms, nutritional yeast, parsley, cilantro.
I loved this and would love to see more! I too vote for a kids' showdown next time. My ideas for possible ingredients include mushrooms (enoki okay for Annie :) ), popped popcorn, farro, tempeh, kale, and/or mango.
This was a really enjoyable episode. Ephraim and Annie were so good at this. I really enjoyed them doing the shout outs, they made them much more fun and interesting. I like the idea of episodes like this because it shows how you can come up with enjoyable meals using whatever you have on hand and also it’s always fun when you get the whole family involved. 😊
In The Rules off the top the kids said we could use 1 cups worth of sauce and could make our own - which is where those two items came into play. We followed the rules!!! (I think...)
Maybe for the next one take each of the kids favorite things, like Annie’s pickles and Ephrams favorite umami things, and have them cook a meal with the things the other one likes.
This was the cage match I never knew I needed but now can't live without! Next time you two should use the same ingredients, ala Chopped. And yes, I'd love to see the kids battle it out, too! Thank you!! 😍
Loved this! Fun interaction with all the family members! Jeremy, maybe sometime you could do a video on just using pantry staples - canned beans, noodles, rice, spices, possibly some “old” or common veggies that most people have in their fridge like onions, carrots, garlic, etc., or even budget friendly meals for people who are new to plant based cooking or just enjoy the idea of low cost foods. Just a suggestion. I started following you when you had about 2000 subscribers. I love how your channel has taken off and I love your family and realistic interactions with trying to cook with them in the kitchen, passing through your filming areas, and photo bombing the shots. So entertaining! Hello from Amy in Athens, Wisconsin.
I loved this video. I wish I could have this kind of competition with someone but I don't know anybody who cooks like me :( Nevertheless, Jeremy I think you were robbed on creativity ha ha ha! Joking aside, I would love to taste that pasta salad ! Pickles are my favorite side dish ! Very entertaining ! More like this please ! For next time: mango, barley, butternut squash, lentils.
Fantastic and fun video Jeremy & family. Always lovely to see Annie and Ephraim. This showdown challenge between Jeremy and Woolie needs to be a regular series but one between the children would be great. Love 🥰 the video and love ❤ Jeremy, 💓 Woolie, ♥️ Ephraim and 💗 Annie.
I was pleasantly surprised as I propped up my phone and began eating my dinner. This was great entertaining viewing and loved the fun . Good job Gramma you had alot of pressure but you pulled through. I LOVE PICKLES!!!!
Adored this episode! Watching the thinking through and adapting felt personally redeeming and encouraging. I’ve read through the other comments and agree with: this type of episode becoming a regular feature; a leftover challenge; a team challenge. Keep rocking it!
This was great too watch. Let the kids cook against grandma. I am new to plant based. But Millet? Never used that before. Swiss chard, lemons, black beans.
This video was so delightful. ❤️ I really enjoyed the whole family involvement. Tempeh, quinoa, button sprouts, kale all things I’d like too see in a challenge
I loved the video and the concept. At times I had to look away so I didn't get dizzy. Maybe use a tripod? I think a dessert challenge would be great! Maybe use a fruit of choice?
My suggestion: 'sweet', anything they want to use, but not mug cake. And if one picks an item (ie. Chocolate), the other can't use it. But they can both use neutral things like flour, etc.
Great idea love it! Would also be fun for the kids to pick the ingredients and then mom & dad have to go head to head with the same ingredients and see who's dish is better
I was smiling all the way through the video so would love to see more like this! 🥰My choice of Ingredients for the the next one would be lentils or TVP.
Great idea! I would like to see you include tempeh, polenta, oats, or millet (which is gluten-free). In addition to choosing different ingredients, perhaps you could do a themed competition, like Christmas or a Cozy Fall Harvest dish.
Good job everyone! But I think for the sake of ongoing harmony in your family (and to eliminate the possibility of unconscious bias), this should be a blind test next time. Grandma shouldn't know which dish is whose!
That was the plan. She came over early and was snoopy. And wanted to help clean up while we cooked, which is what she often does while I cook. You can’t say no to grandma!
Hi my name is Rose. I just want to be one of the people you say hi to on your videos. But im not from anywhere super cool like australia or japan. Im from texas. But if it helps your views you can say im from sasketchehuan or winniepeg so it sounds cooler. Love yalls show and its helped me on my plant based journey!
This is my list of what I need to cook with today: a few green beans and peas fresh from the garden, cherry tomatoes, swiss chard, kale and rhubarb also from the garden, corn on the cob, and 2/3 of a loaf of sourdough. Oh, and tofu.
I'm not alone in Germany with experimental cooking from scratch! 🤣😅👍👍 How about a "leftover challenge" once a week? I do that all the time and hubby got to eat it. LOL 😅
Great video I liked that all the family were involved. Sweet potatoes and chickpeas have become a firm favourite in my home. I love Buddha bowls so your take on a Buddha bowl would be fun.
Great video! Loved watching Woolie's and Jeremy's creative processes. I like the idea of @treem.4983 to have the kids use each others' favorite ingredients!
I think it would be fun for the kids to get the same basket of ingredients and compete head to head to see how different and successful they both can be with the same basics!
Ephraim and Annie did a great job filming and interviewing!
Thanks!
From concept to execution, 10 out of 10! Some ingredients for the next one: sweet potatoes, tahini, black beans and corn.
Thank you!
These are excellent recommendations for Annie and Ephraim!
I echo what kris4555 said. I really enjoyed this and would like to see more. The competition was fun and Mother Dale did a great job with her explanations of her ratings! 👏👏👏 I would choose tempeh as an ingredient for the next one.
Annie dislikes tempeh... which makes me want to make her have to use it :)
I love how involved the son & daughter are with the parents. This was so much fun to watch. Thank you for opening your home to us!
Our pleasure Anna!
Turn about would be fun. Let the youngsters compete. ❤
Tempe, miso, lemon, beans, walnuts, sweet potato, and apple. Thanks for being the judge grandma, this was hilarious
Sounds like a nice Curry. 👍👍
This was so fun, I think u should do this once a month or quarter. Next time I suggest that the ingredients u pick can NOT be used by the other. Looks like u both used onions and garlic. Loved how the whole family got involved. Maybe next time do teams. Excited to see the next challenge. 💕💕
Teams could be fun - but then who finds the surprise judge?!
Loved this! ❤ Next challenge as many of these as you choose: pumpkin seeds, sesame seeds, miso, kale, sweet potato, quinoa, peas, corn, carrots, red bell pepper, steel cut oats, mushrooms, nutritional yeast, parsley, cilantro.
This was very entertaining! For the next competition: mushrooms, jackfruit, sauerkraut. Let the games begin!
Nice suggestions
Fun show today
Vegan jackfruit-mushroom goulash with Tagliatelle, Green salad with Sauerkraut (coleslaw) as side dish. Sounds good! 😅👍
Very creative and fun!! I love how you included the whole family. I would love to see more videos like this :)
We'll do one with the kids in the fall!
I loved this and would love to see more! I too vote for a kids' showdown next time. My ideas for possible ingredients include mushrooms (enoki okay for Annie :) ), popped popcorn, farro, tempeh, kale, and/or mango.
LOVE some of these ideas
This was a really enjoyable episode. Ephraim and Annie were so good at this. I really enjoyed them doing the shout outs, they made them much more fun and interesting. Thank you Lisa! That was the idea behind it so glad that resonated : :)
Such a fun episode! Everyone involved did a great job! Our two guest hosts nailed it 😊
This was 100% fun! I’d like to suggest yellow squash, artichoke, kidney beans, edamame, oatmeal, quinoa, fresh rosemary and ginger.
I didn't see cashews on the list ;) or avocado.....but this was fun! The kids were awesome and so was the Judge. More of these please!
In The Rules off the top the kids said we could use 1 cups worth of sauce and could make our own - which is where those two items came into play. We followed the rules!!! (I think...)

Great ideas - thanks Michelle!
So great! This is better than food Network's Chopped
Thanks!!!! It's the low-fi version of it :)
Great fun! Part 2 is a definite must. I would suggest oats and black beans as ingredients for the next challenge. Maybe also pepitas.
Loved this! Fun interaction with all the family members! Soy curls, asparagus, mushrooms, chard, collard greens, peas, carrots , potatoes, beans, 🙂
Nice suggestions!
Next time you could include potatoes, bananas, greens of your choice, black beans.
Mushrooms, artichokes, tempeh, soy curls, zoodles, peppers, rice, onions, orange juice, sweet potato
Add black beans and garlic to this list and it’s perfect!
Great ideas!
This was a lot of fun! I can't wait to see Ephraim vs Annie.
Agreed!
For next round: tempeh, rice noodles or ramen, zucchini, tomato
I was pleasantly surprised as I propped up my phone and began eating my dinner. This was great entertaining viewing and loved the fun . Good job Gramma you had alot of pressure but you pulled through. I LOVE PICKLES!!!!
Glad we could keep you company during dinner! #TeamPickles
That was really fun to watch! My 5 year old daughter said it was “Jamming” lol 😂
Oh wow - say thanks to your daughter! Leave a comment in a new video with yours and her names and where you're from if you'd like a shout-out :)
Some ideas for another round: quinoa, sweet potatoes, brussel sprouts, pickled jalapeños.
Great ideas!
Hard to capture the chaos with a tripod - but sorry it made you dizzy. I agree the kids should have thrown us by adding some fruit options in
Ingredient suggestions…. Jackfruit, zucchini, white sweet potato
Great ideas!
My suggestion: 'sweet', anything they want to use, but not mug cake. And if one picks an item (ie. Chocolate), the other can't use it. But they can both use neutral things like flour, etc.
Great video, guys! The kids did so well hosting and filming and Mama Dale was a very fair judge! You guys are so cute!😊
Great video. Would love to see ingredients Quinoa, black beans, cornmeal. ❤
Next time, you should add Tahini, Walnuts, Hot Sauce and Cabbage
Potatoes/sweet potatoes (so many things they could do with them)
Great job hosting Ephraim and Annie! Loved the video as always ❤
Onliy thing to do: Prasentation of the plats (whis introdution from the chefs) in its hole beauty.
Uhh yes! Can't wait for the next battle. Ingredients: 🥥🥔🌽🍎🍍🍆
Great idea love it! Would also be fun for the kids to pick the ingredients and then mom & dad have to go head to head with the same ingredients and see who's dish is better

Hello to our beautiful WFPB family
Patti from San Bernardino California
Hi Patti!
Great idea! I would like to see you include tempeh, polenta, oats, or millet (which is gluten-free).
In addition to choosing different ingredients, perhaps you could do a themed competition, like Christmas or a Cozy Fall Harvest dish.
Great ideas Janet!
Lemon grass, dragon fruit, coconut flakes, zucchini, and squash would be fun ingredients to try.
Great ideas!!!!

You're going to have a feast!
Great video! An idea I have is what I’m currently doing this week 😊no buy week. I’m using up what is on hand only to come up with meals😁

I would love to see this again, but make it a blind taste test.
That was the original plan but Mother Dale came early and forced her way just to the kitchen to help clean :)
Very entertaining. You made me smile
Mission accomplished!
Great video I liked that all the family were involved. Sweet potatoes and chickpeas have become a firm favourite in my home. I love Buddha bowls so your take on a Buddha bowl would be fun.
