    Hey Brother I appreciate the info the problem with me is I'm a single dad of two little girls 10 and 7 . the issue is I don't make alot of money I make about 17 bucks an hr . I want to do all this stuff to my truck but I'm afraid I'll mess something up. I ain't got the money to fix it or to send it off to get it done. On a scale of 1 to 10 how hard is it to do this? I wanna do it but afraid ill tear something up. Anyways god bless ya Brother .sounds like you got a Tenn accent I lived in Tenn for six yrs in a small rural town called Cunningham Tenn. I loved it man best six yrs of my life. I cut tobacco yellow and dark. I hung it in the barns as well. Best years of my life .you gained a subscriber.

      These intakes are getting cheaper and easier to come by all the time, and the the tb is a Chinese made 92mm I bought off of eBay. I reused the injectors from the factory intake and just used the rails off the tbss intake. At the time I didn’t have the 1” ict billet the spacer, but going back through this I would have it on hand. So make 2-250 bucks to have it finished. But all situations are different, I try to do everything as budget friendly as I can get away with. I’m from south Alabama so that’s where the accent comes from, but I really appreciate the subscription and the question. If that helped let me know. If you have more questions just shoot them my way.

    Great vid, your porting job looks great!
    Question......have guys been having good luck with those $80 China eBay throttle bodies? Seems I read some guys worry about a blade screw falling off and getting sucked into the engine. I need to buy one so wondering if it's worth going cheap on these. Probably the same ones they sell on Jegs for around $130?
    Others guys say they whistle real bad. I noticed the Holley throttle body is also made in China and it's around $220 online.

      I just got a 102mm in for the 6.2 I’m going to start building for the Chevy II nova we have. I’m not scared of them, they are identical to the ones jegs and everyone else rebrands from what I can tell. Could remove the screws and put red lock tight on them I would think. I haven’t had any issues so far. And it does make a strange whistling sound when the trucks cold and you first crank it. But then it goes away almost immediately. I’m not a professional tuner but it’s worked out for me and I use HP. I’ve heard of guess having issues with the sensors not reading properly. I used my factory gm sensors and haven’t had a problem. And thank you, I’ve been porting heads as well, just kinda learning as I go, I studied a few books and google. I figure it’s free horse power, just takes time.

      Throttle body’s are fine had 5-6 of them.the sensors are usually the problem . Cpl of them I had to drill the butterfly . I always loc tire the screws to be safe . Other then that they work . There is better and worse versions but I wouldn’t stress

    What’s the process of converting the stock nnbs electronic throttle body to a cable operated throttle body?

    • @323Fabrication
      @323Fabrication  2 года назад

      The intake went into a truck with a cable tb so all I did was bolt the bracket on. Nothing special in that case. I don’t think you can convert an electric tb to cable, you’d have to buy another thing. But if you have a truck with dbw, you’d have to install a different pedal and run a cable.

    • @chrishansen7004
      @chrishansen7004 2 года назад +1

      The truck will throw itself into reduced power without the throttle body plugged in, you'd have to get it tuned but I'm not even sure if the dbw computers will run right even with a cable throttle body

    • @323Fabrication
      @323Fabrication  2 года назад

      @@chrishansen7004 that’s true, I didn’t even think about the tune issues. And I believe you’d have to change the computer to one with the proper drivers

    • @323Fabrication
      @323Fabrication  Год назад +1

      It was drive by wire, there were still mount spots, I drilled a different hole in the bracket and mounted it there. It’s been awhile but I think that’s all there was to it

    Hey bud, just come across your channel, new subscriber, I'm putting a 2013 5.3 that I built for my truck that's now wrecked ina 2001 truck, gonna swap the crank and make all the sensors work, did you get this done and what all did you do as far as fuel lines go, thanks for the info bud

    • @323Fabrication
      @323Fabrication  2 года назад

      The motor in the s10 was a 3rd gen and the harness was built for the swap specifically. The factory fuel system on the 2.2 flex fuel s10 works really well, and has a fuel filter that’s got an internal regulator and returns from the filter. So one line feeds the motor

    like, robert krupa said i have heard a few talk about lock tight on those screws holding the throttle blades.and if your interested a company on ebay sells a direct fit set of high flow fuel rails for that and other gm truck intakes.they company is called fasster performance. ruclips.net/video/q7yEq_vKbb8/видео.html have a look at this install video by matt happel he also does a lot of ls swaps 8for8 ,and a ton of fairmont stuff. but its fasster performance, comes with all the fittings and plugs and i think i recall a tee fitting so you can run a pressure sensor or just a gauge. great video think i'll subscribe.

      Awesome thank you for subscribing and thank you for the info. I didn’t lock right the screws, maybe I should have, I’ll check them when I get to the shop after work but I’ve been running the intake for awhile now. I’m not a professional tuner, but I’m learning. It raised the idle about 200 rpm when I did the swap and I haven’t figured out how to bring it back down. But other than that I’m very happy with the way the truck performs.
