    Awesome info man. I splurged on the Holley on my first build but believe I'll be going this route next time

    This is awesome! Thanks for sharing, I'll be ordering a seal now! Assuming the seal works on the 102 mm throttle bodies too?

      Thanks sir!! I would almost guarantee it!! From what I’ve seen they share the same body.

    Man I’m having problems with my 02 Silverado having a rough idle/surge idle, it used to rev up by itself all the way to 2k to 2500 rpm’s but I changed the iac to a good one and i ported the f*** out of both iac ports and now it stays close to 1k and the annoying whistling sound of the throttle body is gone now,,,the rpm’s still bounce up and down at 1k rpms that sometimes the truck stalls on me at red lights,,going to give this seal a try to see if it helps

    Out of curiosity how much boost do you think you where loosing from not having the TB shaft sealed up ?

    • @MRE_Motorsports
      @MRE_Motorsports  2 года назад +1

      Losing any boost is never good but it was pretty substantial. I can’t even guess how much it was but it wouldn’t even even get to 1-2psi before it started leaking!

    I'm having the same issue on my eBay 80mm for my rb25. Unfortunately I don't have the depth to push in a seal. Might have to get it machined but machine work is stupidly costly

    Just a fyi, if the set screw for the throttle arm backs out and the spring kicks it out, you throttle will stick open and can be a bad deal. I got lucky and it separated at part throttle and not wide open. I would definitely lock-tight that last screw that you tightened.

    Do you usually run both springs on the throttle body? I've seen others remove one spring for a lighter feel
