Did this swap on my 05 a while back but went with the 4 bolt tb and X-link adapter. Dont forget to mention that 99-02 trucks will require pressure regulator and throttle cable as well. Its pretty much plug and play on dbw trucks though. For pcv I just drilled a hole on my intake tube and threaded a barb fitting to connect the valve cover there, some people just put a breather cap or a filter on that line.
The reason to put the breather tube before the throttle blade is because you don't want it to be subjected to vacuum. The pcv valve is the vacuum side and the breather tube equalizers pressure at low rpm and sometimes acts as a secondary pcv at high rpm depending on the amount of blowby you have. While crankcase vacuum has some benefits the main reason for a breather tube is to not subject the oil(mainly the rear main) seals to vacuum pressure because they're not designed to handle it. There is a different rear main seal that is designed for vacuum pressure that came out with the gen 5 motors because they use a vacuum pump. But with all that said the crankcase vacuum will be minimal routing the breather tube past the blade and I highly doubt that it would cause a seal to fail that wasn't going to fail anyway. Also if anyone has hydroboost brakes(doesn't use a vacuum booster) you can remove the plug from your stock intake and put it in the new intake. Also with DBC whether you use your old TB or get a 4 bolt cable TB you will have to make a bracketto hold your cables and might have to shorten them as well
My 06 Yukon is already dyno tuned. I guess I could get an 07 SS manifold and use my old injectors? Probably I'd need to retune my truck. I remember reading some time ago that the stock throttle body is not restrictive until you get up into high horsepower numbers.
