Probably one of the best looking cars of all time.
can't agree more. there is absolutely not a single bad angle on the car.
unfortunately in my country the base price is € 210.000 (US$ 225.000) which is above my paygrade.
@@freudsigmund72 What country are you in? Here in Sweden, which is famous for having EXPENSIVE cars (alot of taxes and stuff), its like $120-130k new
@@rasmus.tjansson the netherlands
@@freudsigmund72 ok
I want an LC500 so badly.
I really hope you get to drive one and/or own one. These short term reviews don’t do it Justice. I’ve owned mine for 4yrs and have just loved it more and more
The upcoming 2024 Ford mustang GT is going to have 480 hp and 415 ft/lb of torque(486hp and 418 ft/lb with the optional active exhaust) with a rumored starting price of 40k, 50k cheaper than this LC500. My money is on the new Mustang
@@sammyjammy6647 won’t have the build quality tho 😫 I’ll have to wait till the LC is 60k or less
@@sammyjammy6647 Yeah... I'm just straight up not interested in a Mustang. You're comparing 2 very different priced cars there. The Mustang is available for 1/3 the price of the LC500. People who want an LC500 aren't trying to decide if I should get that or a Mustang.
I'm getting one in the coming month. I'm so excited....coming from a 2006 camry for the last 18 years 😆
I have fallen more and more in love with my LC500 and been daily driving mine for years…leaving work is something I look forward to everyday! 😍🔥
Sing it man. 22 LC500 coupe here IF/TC DHP. I love it to death.
How many miles and any thing that worries you? I'm looking to buy a used one.
Yup😂 u r not alone, went through 4th sets of tires already
@@Baggged_LC haha man, I think we’re the only ones on 🌎 that have daily driven ours and also highly modified them lol. It’s just us, bruh 😂
ONLY PEASANTS LIKE U DRIVE GREAT CARS LIKE THIS EVERY DAY !
JUST LIKE THE PEASANTS WHO DRIVE NSXs & FERRARIs EVERY DAY !
The LC500 is criminally underrated.
Wha? Every single reviewer hyped it up so much. Have you driven one? It’s very average.
It’s criminally overrated, you mean. A great car 5 years ago and at 65 grand maybe…
I bet you drive BMW 😅@@dannyhoward3437
Definitely one of the best looking cars of all time
I keep watching for the prices to come down so I can pick one up. This video isn’t going to help.
um..
Agree
If this car doesn’t become a collectible I would be very surprised! It’s stunning.
Definitely going to be a collectible, gorgeous car.
Wish this engine found it's way in the new Tundra. Love the LC 500. True summer cruiser.
I just bought one last week. Can’t wait to get it. It’s just fabulous 🏖️
Bought Lc500 Convertible. It's drives like dream.
I would definitely get the LC 500 over an Amg all day, every day
Dream daily driver
THAT'S NOT A DAILY DRIVER, PEASANT !
The most beautiful car from Lexus and one of the most beautiful cars on the road.
The IS500 is the most handsome car from Lexus and one of the most handsome cars on the road.
The IS is the perfect combination of form and function, performance and utility.
The IS better suited for an enthusiast while the LC is for cushy boulevard cruising.
4:18 SLAP TOMMY! The clock is bad ass. Its working and visible when the car is off. I was just sitting in the car w/ it off last night waiting for my friend to pick up his new WRX and i found myself looking at that clock and admiring it. So check yourself. Its a nice touch i miss not having in other cars.
It’s very classy
god, that iPad-lying-on-the-dash of the 2024 car is such an eyesore!!!
Everytime I see it on the road I’m Amazed on the details of this automobile.. it breathes respect
I ❤ my 2021 LC 500 convertible 👍.
I think you're being a little hard on the capabilities of the LC500. I find mine (which has RWS) very sharp. Yes, it's not a hot hatch, it's a GT, but a capable one. Think of the LC as a Japanese Aston. As for performance, I traded in my C63 (W205) for my LC, and the LC is so much more capable on the twisties - so from that perspective, it's a performance car with plenty of go
IT'S SO BEAUTIFUL
Having an NA engine that revs to 7300 means the speed is not always accessible in daily driving. The car is plenty fast but you have to keep the RPMs above 5000 to get the best out of it. When you do, the entertainment value is off the charts. Still it's not a turbo engine nor a sports car, but has enough sporty edge in the coupe form and a great compliment to a 911 in the garage.
Btw, I find Tommy's perspective more insightful and overall a better presenter 😎.
The LC 500 is bad ass!! Please buy one! I have a Sc430 and love it.
You can adjust sensitivity of trackpad or use voice commands. Mg shift paddles. No manual shifting? Golf clubs fit, just take out the driver and add after the bags in.
Great coverage of this model and the others u can get. I looked into this car over the last few years and they have been wait listed. I have been told they could sell many more. They don't produce them quickly enough.
2023 bespoke edition in flare yellow ordered. Though, I opted for the coupe to get the carbon roof and active rear wing.
Thats big balling with the carbon.
any Lexus with this V8 will be a collector’s car- like the GS-F etc.
I own a coupe and love it !! (2022) this car will never disappoint and not make you go broke over ownership
I purchased a white 2022 LC 500 convertible last year after test driving a used 2021 convertible. As most reviewers have said, the LC 500 is a grand touring car, not a sports car and that's exactly what I wanted. The interior, exterior and engine are superb, simply fabulous. Everything about it is top notch and well designed but it is not a 911, which by the way, has shot up in price and costs at least $25K more than the LC 500. Lastly, I don't think the Mercedes or the 911 can come close to Lexus reliability so the purchase price is likely the most an LC 500 owner will have to pay.
Porsche easily matches Lexus in reliability in most surveys. Look it up. Servicing this car will not be cheap as it ages either.
@@MercOne Just to try to get good better perspective I went on the Porsche website to configure a base 911 to include the same equipment as the LC 500. MSRP for a comparable 911 convertible is $148,550 plus dealer markup. Ouch! BTW I've owned a Porsche and it was anything but reliable and parts are very expensive.
@@3212Dre You pay more for a better car. Even a base 911 smokes this thing in every objective measure. It's really sad how reliability has become the only real advantage a Lexus has today, and even that is overblown and isn't what it used to be. A Lexus should be more reliable, as they're using very old components in most case. The wonderful 5.0L V8 in this car dates back to 2008. The least it could be is reliable. I own a Lexus and their parts are not cheap either as they age. A Lexus not cheap to maintain as they age, just "cheaper" than a comparable European vehicle. This very important fact seems to be lost here.
💯💯
@@MercOne Porsche service is more expensive and guaranteed this lc will be over 100k miles and singing. Can't say the same for the 911 without multiple patches in it. Also you pay the 911 tax these days.
What a gorgeous car. 😍
The only thing I would change is to color match that trim from both headlight and rear lights, other than that remains untouchable 🙌🤩
Owning one is a much more affordable way of being exclusive since most people don’t even imagine Lexus offers such magnificent car 🙌
MY DREAM CAR 😍👍🏻 LEXUS LC 👌🏻😎👍🏻 THE PERFECTION
This and a Taycan Wagon are my modern dream garage!
HECK YAH! Thanks for this video!
I know the feeling I have one A masterpiece And Lexus quality Amazing indeed
Love the content guys! But Roman, what are those shoes and socks!!?
I have been blessed to own one.
I think that is a stunning car.
Oh yeah here it is :-) hope you had a great weekend with it!
The image quality of the camera they are using does really show how beautiful this car is. They should use a DSLR.
My unrealistic dream car. This is so far the only Lexus produced with this grill design that actually looks good to me. They discontinued my favorite color, that dark brownish red, whatever it was called. I saw one glistening in the sunlight in a parking lot and it was stunningly beautiful. I think they also discontinued the very distinctive white and blue interior, which is a shame. For such an expensive car, the interior color options are extremely limited with all-tan, all-black, or red-and-white combo. You should be spoiled for choice at $100k like cars from MB and BMW. I agree with Roman that the muscle car engine note is totally out of place in this very sleek and sexy boulevard cruiser.
We had a customer on Marco Island with a infrared hard top LC500 that had a toasted caramel interior.
We’re definitely in the golden age of ICE sports cars. Enjoy while you can as most legacy companies have announced full transition to EV by the end of the decade to 2035!!
15 seconds top down is pretty quick!
THE BEST CAR EVER HANDS DOWN!!
4:30 I have to say thats simply not true. From an actual owners perspective i happen to love the track pad. Here is why. Having owned the car you learn the menus and you know where to go w/ out looking. 2 you never touch the screen getting it dirty. 3 i can navigate while moving and not looking and i can make my hits. If it were touch id have to drop my eyes to look and struggle to hit my mark w/ my finger bouncing while the car is moving. Every "reviewer" hates the system because they are ppl who don't own the car and they don't "Know" the car. Owners chime in on this. Am i the only one who feels this way?
I dont like the newer systems on the newer Lexus that made it touch when i get the loaners i miss my track pad.
4:40 Again he doesnt know the system. You can dial down the sensitivity. You can vary the haptic feedback, you can change, or eliminate the sounds. ALL of these things you want customized to you the owner and this guy who comes in saying he knows this and that for you guys who have never seen the car wanting to know information are being misled. Simply put he is not giving you all the details.
I like it too. I have OCD and touchscreens drive me nuts.
I come to this channel for the, i will read you the brochure, in-depth review.
I pick this all day over the SL.
Full Mid Life Crises Mode: Yellow Convertible, Red Shoes, Green Socks 😁. Love you guys though.
SWEET!!!
V8 all day 😏
That clock is gorgeous what are u talking about ?wow the console slides closed by itself you don’t need to slam it ?
I wish my new IS 500 sounded like that . .
I want to see Paul drive this around the track.
I was not a fan of LC 500 at first. I thought the interior was dated, and I put money down for a C8 and 911 GTS. After watching a few people complaining about C8 and tranny issues, I asked me Porsche dealership rep when will I get the 992 GTS, and he said maybe in 1.5 to 2 years, and they general manger wanted 40k over MSRP. One day I took my wife's GX for service to a Lexus dealership and looked at an LC, and I really liked it in person. I got my deposit back from Porsche and Chevy and put a $5000 deposit for the LC bespoke build which is a coupe in Ultrasonic Blue. I will get it in a few months. It is not an AMG and I don't want to be a 911 or AMG because they break down faster than the rain that comes down in Seattle.
yep, they look even better in person
5:50 When i get a LS w/ that TT V6, I will say it. That big ass barge feels lighter on its feet than my LC. Its eager to run that V6 is strong and you can chip it for 100 hp and tq more w a simple tune. I wish Lexus made an LC400 w/ that TT V6 in the LS dropped the price 10k and given ppl a real gem. I bought the car for the 2UR-GSE but honestly... if i had the choice id probably opt for the LC400 fully loaded and chipped it for an even faster and lighter ride. Talk about a delight missed.
Good morning. I gave a 2021 LS. And yes the car is a boat, I mean you don’t appreciate it’s size until you drive it. My LC is due in about 4 weeks. Can’t wait. Yes I’m a Lexus guy. Tried and true.🏖️
The hybrid is interesting as having the LC looks but getting more fuel economy when petrol is £2 a litre.
If I ever decide to part with my SC430, this is the car I would trade it for!
My 23 LC500 convertible should be here any day, can’t wait. I too have a 2002 SC430 that I really enjoy. No it’s not a sports car but aGT. I love them both 🏖️
You can hear a bird agree with you around 6:33
Did you guys know that that engine is ported and direct injection ? Wow no intake oil issues
Wow, those socks! 😎
I love it but my dream car will always be a GS F
I hope the electronics will be repairable 50 years from now.
If they’d just get rid of that damn touch pad control already, this would already be perfect.
yep, this is the car
Dream setup: This Lexus(Weekend) Zr2 Colorado/Silverado (Daily)
That's a pretty good dream setup. ZR2 Colorado diesel?
I have this car in blue/tan with a beater Tundra for "truck stuff" and a built 4Runner for offroading. Most people think owning this many cars is expensive, it's really not. The key is buying cars that don't depreciate very much. The biggest cost of car ownership for most people is depreciation.
@@jimmy-buffett not diesel, the gas one that comes out later this year and the LC I’ll get it when I get back from deployment. Should be about 100k in vehicles if I time it right, and I get where you’re coming from with the depreciation thing
@@jameshumphrey3425 starting to see some 2018 LC coupes under $70K, CarGurus has 21 with 6 of those under 30K miles. That's nothing for these cars.
@@jimmy-buffett what’s a good range to buy in your opinion? I’m thinking of waiting to find one at 65k so In terms of miles what would you say is “too high?”
@@jameshumphrey3425 of the 21 available nationally under $70K, I'd sort by mileage lowest and work my way down the list. You'll find disqualifiers -- accident history, spotty maintenance history -- and then you'll find a gem that was traded into a non-Lexus dealer in a cold weather state where the sales manager doesn't want the car.
Considering that only 6 of the 21 under $70K have under 30K miles, any of those 6 with a clean title / accident history / good service records are the bargain.
a couple of clarifications...1st this is not an old fashioned V8..this is a DOCH 32 valve 12.3:1 compression ratio and redlines at 7300 RPM!!!! Also this 5.0 did not "find its way over" to the LC but originated in the 2018 LC 500 model and then found its way over to the other F models in later years. The trackpad is initially annoying but less as time goes by. Finally not sure if mine will be a collectible since it is my daily driver and I cant stop driving it...too many miles already.
I have no issue with the track pad either. I use Apple CarPlay and voice command keeps most functions hands free. Love this car.
0 to 60 in how many sec ????
That track pad is worse than mouse it replaced. Now check out the 360 camera on new RX, it's one of those options I would pay to remove lol
This car is my crush I will buy it one day
Almost makes me want to replace my '99 SC400. Almost.
Aka baby LFA❣️
1:50 i said this about the trapezoidal spindle grille for a while now.
They look very sublime on their swoopy cars, including their swoopier crossovers like the RX n NX… the LS, ES n IS also looks great with that grille.
But they look absolutely horrific on their blocky ladderframe vehicles like the GX n LX. it just looks so out of place.
That girl is absolutely gorgeous
Cars gonna last forever
Beautiful car but the infotainment does suck for such an expensive car. Does it even have CarPlay and Android Auto? Looks lie the new ones do so I assume it now has touchscreen at least.
It has both CarPlay and Android Auto. I've had mine for ~18 months now. The key to living with this car is to minimize using the trackpad to select things on the screen. The temp buttons on the dash automatically control the HVAC system, the heated/cooled seats, the heated steering wheel and the heat scarf in the headrests. Navigation can be done by voice command. 99% of the time that we are interacting with the infotainment system, it's not me while driving but my wife changing the radio station.
Lexus engineers created "climate concierge" to greatly reduce the number of buttons cluttering up the dash, but Lexus marketing failed to explain it properly.
That’s going to be expensive to fix when the top breaks...
I dont like how the exhaust sounds tinny
It's a stunning car, but true to Lexus form they're letting it die on the vine. Why oh why would you cancel the TT V8 version, the LC-F? That would have keep this car in the spotlight a little while longer. It's one of the best looking and best sounding cars on the road, but the 911, SL, 8-Series all kill it on the road performance wise and interior wise when it comes to modernity. Lexus needs to learn how to upgrade something besides their crossovers to keep them relevant. This car deserves better.
For better performance with the same motor, I chose the RCF with performance package. 😎
Absolutely love it 💛
I have an LC500 convertible, the main deficiency of it (that the -F cars fix) is having a dedicated trans cooler.
If you haven't been to the Lexus Performance Driving School (totally worth the $$$), last year's cars were the IS500, RC-F and LC500. The big track laps were done in LC500's but the track instructors were all driving RC-F's.
the honda hybrids use an electric motor under 60mph with the gas motor as as a generator.. above 60, the electric motor 'locks' and the wheels are driven by the gas motor
Not in this life time I'm able to own this beauty. It costs 650k singapore dollars in my country.
The 2024 has a touchscreen,
The LC500 deserves a better 2nd engine maybe twin turbo the 3.5 liter hybrid like in the Tundra.99
I have a 21 convertible. Few folks want the V6TT for this car. It is the first V8 I have ever owned and it makes the car. If I want the V6 TT experience I will take my Gen 2 NSX out.
I just want my degree so I can afford one
That paint job is almost as loud as Romans socks 😁.
WHAT KIND OF PEASANT DRESSES LIKE THAT ?
Such a good looking car but yellow is the wrong color.
Cant possibly understand why someone would want to get the hybrid
Love the lc
It’s 5 years old now , really
The IS 500 should've come with that exhaust
finally a worthy successor to the 3rd gen toyota soarer, not like that horrible sc430
22 LC500 coupe IF/TC DHP. Its my favorite thing I own. I love detailing him. Its a great jeckle and hyde meaning you can swing wide from comfort cruiser to sporty assshole running from cops. Hahahaaaaa yess I've done it. 😆😁🤫
The cluster is all analog, come on guys know the car before you review😊
It’s going to be collectable because it’s the only super car that can survive a decade…
Gt cruiser not supercar.
I’ll take this over a 911 any day
Canadian 130,000 dollars full out
I own the most expensive one so if you need info just ask me
8:04 Im offended by your statement Tommy. Im 40 and i bough this over a 911 because it does it just as good and happens to look better doing it. I take it to car shows and see others who have my car as younger than me even. Ironically the older guys who come up to me are when I'm taking the car from service and they want to know what it is. Old ppl don't know of this car. Thus your general statements of it are all wrong. In fact you should gather up the demographic figures for ownership prior to making those claims. Sorry I'm high and being an ass, but i find your comments offensive. I love my car.
No hybrid crap!
The infotainment is not really hard just learn to use it.I have the IS 350 with it.
