Crochet striped cardigan tutorial

Here’s my striped cardigan tutorial! I’ve re-uploaded this short tutorial from TikTok because a lot of people who couldn’t access TikTok asked for it!

Materials:
- 5.5mm & 4.5mm hook
- Number 2 / sport weight yarn (I used around 350-400 grams)
- Stitch markers
- Scissors
- Tape measure

This is the best tutorial for a cardigan that I've come across over the years. Before youtube, I used to follow patterns in books which was tedious. Even youtube videos couldn't help with my dilemma of trying to crochet a decent cardigan. I was at the point of going to crochet one of the hexagon granny square cardigans but I thought that was too awkward but seemed like the only way I was going to make another cardigan by crochet.
Your tutorial is super helpful.
What yarn did you use or would recommend? I've used size 5 worsted weight acrylic in the past but it's too stiff and doesn't feel comfortable.
Once I know what kind of yarn to use, I can begin to crochet a decent cardigan with your helpful tutorial. Thanks so much!!

I’m so glad you found my tutorial useful! I like using a size 2 sport weight cotton or bamboo yarn for crochet clothing, I find the drape is very nice and feels comfortable on the skin! Let me know if you have any more questions!🥰
