being a teenager and not falling in love with Nirvana is impossible
I'm 30 and was never into rock music. But somehow i fall for Nirvana now. Kurt Cobain is that powerful.
Yup impossible
not just teenagers…👍🏻
lol so weird reading that on our generation´s videos
soundgarden and alice is more suitable for me.
I wish rockers would still rage like this
im working on it man..
J3TTXZ me too yo
They do. You just have to search in the right places.
The mosh pits would be amazing
same here, youll see it again...
This live version is better than the studio one, in my opinion.
The way Kurt sings in the first verse totally made my day. c:
+Overdrive I love the high amount of bass and other unfiltered sounds that you receive in hearing a live version, verses a filtered studio version-makes me feel so much closer to actually being there!
+Overdrive I totally agree with you, besides i think the tempo is a bit more higher, and coupled with that first verse it's just amazing. "Daddy's little girl ain't a girl no more ..." amazing
Yeah 😁😁😂😂😂
Overdrive agreed
Overdrive nah
I would ride a Krist Noveselic into battle.
lol i thought that said we ride a krist noveselic into battle and that is funny
Kurt & Krist galloping towards the enemy lines.
I thought this said "I would ride a krist noveselic" and that's it.
Well ride him to area 51
A wild Krist Novoselic has appeared!!!
Krist doesn't need a scarf, he has Kurt
maybe a scoff from Kurt
or a bottle of lithium
source? please?
*had
i'm laughing so much
I love how Kurt's voice sounds in the first verse!
I'm thinking that's actually Kim Gordon, and I believe the fella messing with the beer and who pulls Kurt back on stage at the end is none other than Thurston Moore. There's quite a bit of Sonic Youth mischief scattered throughout the video.
@@krashd Nah it's Kurt singing. Here is footage of Kurt singing the intro just like this one a month later. ruclips.net/video/Djwzy4CdUYc/видео.html
@@krashd You get the best weed.
@@krashd its clearly Kurt lmfao
from my film "1991 the year punk broke", no thanks to nirvanavevo for not detailing this info.
+Rex well, I did create this film. I shot it, edited it, and directed. Try using google before you leave a snarky remark.
I don't argue with you tube trolls and this is not up for debate,
+Rex Uhmmmm ... yeah ... do a little homework.
www.imdb.com/title/tt0103595/
+Rex Know when you're beaten, seriously. He didn't even ask you to take it down or report it. All you had to do was not be an ass and add the mans credit.
Thanks for making this film Dave! Never seen it before. 😎
2:12 Howtobasic
Hahahahahaa @samostudii
samostudio AHAHHAHHAH
samostudio :D
That would probably be- Howtobasic-How to drink beer samostudio
damn it😂
The audio is from their show in Sir Henry's in Cork, Ireland in 1991. The whole audio for the show is up on this, and definitely worth taking a listen. Brilliant brilliant show, one of their best by far
Did they come back sperstars?
Wow that's incredible 👏🏼 I'm from Ireland and been to Cork...I even played a gig there.
My favorite version of NC. Watched "1991 the year punk broke", VHS so much it broke, lol.
lol the vhs predicted it's own future
funny Story Tom :) i love your covers
Tomnedreb we watched it on VHS all the time too!
Fun Fact: The audio from this performance was recorded for their show in Cork, Ireland 1991
I just came from one of your videos
Please credit Dave Markey for beautifully capturing the energy of this Nirvana's live performance.
One of The best Nirvana songs
The best.
No other band can play out of tune and sing in tune and make it sound completely legit.
That's Kurt Cobain man, anything is possible for him.
They're not playing out of tune though. Nirvana never plays out of tune, unless it's a joke. I don't know why people kept saying they play out of tune.
@@oliverb.8995 Kurt cobain himself an out of tune guy man. He is kinda like a musical scientist.
@@oliverb.8995 he didnt like his 4th man in the band back in 89 bcuz he was tuning his guitar too perfect

this is Nirvana in it's purest state
My favorite version of Negative Creep.
Man, Nirvana helped me get through my teens.
I love how he builds up to it in this version.
Love how it’s soft at first, then cuts into the heavy version. Very good symbolism
1:03 You will never be this hard, pure raw power 🔥🔥🔥
Yes Yes Yes soooo unbelievable, i, am soooo proud to know this snd that its really happened this Band, this Man absolut fantastik
This versions better than the studio version. It starts off nice and mellow then it turns into a negative creep.
Mega Lomania agree
This versions dumb
Lair of the Mastermind this version is amazing
@@vonclohk507 no way bro… studio version is unmatched and always will be. Pure anger and rage with Kurt at his peak. Rhino records maybe but the versions after ‘89 aren’t the same energy as the early days
@@owensw0228 studio and the version from muddy banks have always been my favourite
Nirvana is timeless. Will live forever.
Crazy, all over the place, disorganized, but probably the most interesting and unexpected live version of this really good song. A real beaut !
No matter how hard he tried to ruin his songs he would only make them more amazing
Kurt in shorts? never saw this footage.
Wow! This version really has it's own touch!
I love the way Kurt sang in the first verse I wish it was like that the whole song
It does sound like a little girl haha
He loves being a negative creep. So adorable 💘
1:00 the probabilities of being atacked by kurt cobain are really low, but never's none
Not since 1994 😳
@@blockminer7491 Since 1994 are even higher 😔😳
@@guilhermeng4334 reading 91
the chances of being attacked by Kurt Cobain are very low but never zero
haha
One of my favorite live versions. They were having so much fun then. Then fame and fortune ruined all the harmony and fun that took years to create.
Create your own illusion (s)......Thanks Dave Markey...
Create what? He said in 93 hes out of ideas, last year of life he did mostly remakes of old songs....I bert in my balls he would maybe make one album if he lived, with who idk, Nirvana idt so...
@@vilimbubas1302Such a bad take. All artists get burned out after a while of hard work. The reason Cobain was running out of ideas in 93 is because of his problems in life overwhelming him.
whoever managed the sound on this live version did an amazing job, it nearly sounds like you're actually there. He needs a promotion.
This is my favourite version of negative creep love it so much
NIRVANA !!!....
Awesome!!!.... a real Punk spirit inside of them.
This version is great. Thurston Moore(SONIC YOUTH) was drinking beer in the middle of stage...
little trouble boys.
meul1979
“1991: The Year Punk Broke” Awesome rock doc! If it hadn’t been for that movie we wouldn’t have the awesome footage towards the end of Nirvana’s set at Reading ‘91 where Kurt dives into the kit. There are some shots from that show here, too 🤘🏻 🔥 🎸
I was at this show in Cork summer 91 where this audio recorded.
this blew my f**king head off. They were so f**king loud.
the band were in their prime that summer.
No fucking cellfones in the crowd, magical.
***** Yes, no mobile phones.
+Lonnie Booth It's truly beautiful... no cellphones. :)
I remember those days and miss them! I myself started to feel uncomfortable when miniature technology progressed beyond the late 1980s-early 1990s!
Wakas Life no phones
Yeah, they actually did, they've been around since the 70's. You can see one in any 80's movie featuring a rich kid or a businessman, they were just the size of a banana.
Legends say the beer is still foaming out Nirvana 🔥Rocks who listening 2019🙌
daddy's little girl ain't a girl no more
daddy's little girl ain't a girl no more
it has a different meaning now xd
Did have a daughter*
wha-
I'm a negative creep,
I'm a negative creep,
I'm a negative creep and I'm stoned
In fact his little girl is older than he was
Great song. heavy sound. Nirvana were popular and are still popular because they are unique and their songs can make you relate and help you not feel alone. whether you are happy, or sad or angry, there is a song you will find that you can connect with. no bad songs, but songs that are appreciated more than others.
Unique vocals, lyrics, music, personality. However, above all: Kurt was anomalously unique and an exceptionally pulchritudinous human being.
R.I.P. Kurt / 1967-1994
+Elaine Kayes pulchritudinous?? what the heck does this overcomplicated word mean??
Please explain your literature to us peasants
pulchritude means beauty.
Is that a dinosaur name ?
Great word. Gonna work that into my already idiosyncratic lexicon.
I'm a negative creep and I'm stoned!! Yeaaaaah!!!
Daddy's lattle gurl ain't a gurl naw maw!!!!
I thought muddy banks of the wishkah Negative Creep was my fav but this is starting to pass it up. Just unreal. Hearing this loud in headphones when they kick into full gear is otherworldly.
This is BY FAR my favorite rendition.
I can see there's few people looking for the show where Kurt is hanging/playing around Krist's neck..its 08/25/91 - Domein Kiewit (Pukkelpop), Hasselt, Belgium
👌👌👌👌🇧🇪🇧🇪🇧🇪

Dat voice....
Everything about this is so perfect. What a presence. The magical angels of great music were attaching to Kurt so strongly in the early 90’s. Pure magic.
RIP on this day, 30 years ago, we lost a musical pioneer who defined an entire generation of misfits, loners and odd ones.
I've never seen the guy who is cooler and more beautiful than Kurt
me too
+Unko Toire lets replace that the wit an a
Unko Toire Jim Morrison.
Liam Gallagher
It's just great that people base their musical interests in the singer's look and not on the talent and the music per se. Just great...
This was in Cork, Ireland.
*****
It's in an interview I heard recently.
***** Yeah, he was part Irish, not full. Us Irish are pretty diverse, we range from looking Spanish/Basque to looking Nordic :)
Trabolgan...
He said that in an interview however he was mistaken, his roots were traced back to County Tyrone in Ireland who emigrated around the famine
Cobain is not a common name in Ireland but you will come across it from time to time, I've seen two Irish Cobains on TV, one was a girl on University Challenge and the other was a fella being interviewed on the news about something or other that happened in Dublin.
1:16 I love how he says negative creep.. *Negative* *CREEP*
Raffa Halt NEGATIVE CREAP NEGATIVE CREAP NEGATIVE CREAP AND I'M STONED
Kurt broke his collarbone diving into the drums at this gig.
Lmao I just broke my collarbone a couple days ago
Love this song 💜
0:11 my favorite part 😄💀😁
XD
sounds like carl wheezer
this is exactly why i love nirvana
I have The Year That Punk Broke on DVD. As soon as this song cuts in: it is undeniable who the coolest band was on the tour. Kurt even looks cool in shorts and a corny 90's shirt. All this before Smells Like Teen Spirit launched them in America.
2:42 Kurt Cobain & Thurston Moore (Sonic Youth)... a Magnificent Duet !!!
1991 the year punk broke. A watershed moment in 90s music history
I love this live version.
the best video of nirvana ever
Para mi siempre será la mejor época, donde no existía reggaeton ni nada d esa basura. Como extraño aquella época
The realest there ever was and ever will be. Period.
It truly boggles my mind as to how Nirvana was one of the coolest bands ever
Whole world loves Nirvana!
The way this video starts it's so sick
I love the deviation from the ordinary vocal delivery of the opening of this live version of this Bleach-era classic!
...still one of my all-time favorite early Nirvana songs (my favorite live version is on the posthumous "From The Muddy Banks Of The Wishkah" live compilation album) -- even if Kurt did rip-off Mudhoney's "daddy's little girl" line in its lyrics/chorus!
Something about this video, it has this energy and I just love it
I HOLD SHIFT LIKE A REAL MAN.
seriously, kurt cobain is the only guy in history that can make 90's clothes look good. google 90's clothes and see some of the horrors that were about at the time - then come back and appreciate how cool this guy was
You right! I was thinking the same thing. How cool was he? I mean...the others used to wear bad and coloured clothes like clowns!
I looked it up on Google. All I saw were kids from like 2002, wearing "90s clothes" (not at all).

This version is from Cork, Ireland 8/20/91. Also did the first ever live performance of Lounge Act in that gig!
This is from the film 1991 The Year That Punk Broke
Cant say I fully understand what hes saying but it sure does sound hella good

It's cool how he sound like a kid playing and singing at first, hits puberty, the ball bag drops, and his voice gets deep and loud like his playing. Creative stuff
i could listen to that intro over and over and over
Nickelback ads. Thanks, NirvanaVEVO. For missing the point that no one ever missed until you found it enough to miss it.
+Don Carlson - all VEVO video's have ads in them, not just Nirvana
Credit where credit is due. The Year Punk Broke is a great document of the time, and this is one of the performances from it.
At the end of this song, when Thurston pulled up Kurt onstage at the end, that eerie bass note is magical
Zajímavej sestřih :) To pivo je vážně cool !!!
is there someone listening this masterpiece in 2019?
He had a masterful knack for simple yet very catchy compositions
Iedereen
No. Nobody listens to music after it is made. Duh.
2020
no its 2020
The concert is actually Live In Europe, if I were an owner of a company. I'd bring it out on DVD as a Live Album. It's a fantastic concert.
This is from the film titled: 1991: The Year That Punk Broke. Any other front man wearing jean shorts would be laughed off the stage. If you watch any band from that tour, it is painfully obvious who the best: Nirvana.
Sonic Youth was pretty good
It's brilliant! Awesome year!
I need to download this
Kurt trolling the audience at the beginning of this live performance😂😂
If any one’s wondering this performance is 8/20/91 Sir Henrys Cork, Ireland
Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is really Nirvana
TREMENDO TEMA Y TREMENDO VIDEO, AGUANTE NIRVANA LA RECONCHA DE LA LORA!!!

Right now is the best time to hear nirvana...
LMAO! I love the original of this song, and this one made me bust up laughing!
Krist doesn’t need neither a towel or a cape. He has Kurt.
I feel freedom. His music save my life.
