Аww, awesome, I had never seen those before! Thank you for posting. I wonder why he was ''beating'' this engineer/producer at 5:46 lol. (who was never smiling when Paul was slapping his legs earlier, so maybe he deserved it lol). Those close ups at around 4:27 reminded me so much of the face of Beatle Paul for some reason. (I mean, he is Beatle Paul, just a bit older, but sometimes you see that more clearly) It's so interesting what he can do with his voice when he pleases. Suddenly so much power, just for fun. (5:10 onward) It seems like it was fun recording this album. I wish there was more footage.
Three positive points. 1. Your youtube video montage is excellent 2. You are kind to respond 3. I am not losing my mind after all. Cheers my Macca friend.
OMG! Rare studio sessions! Thank you very much! It's my favourite album, one of the best songs of sir Paul. Knee percussion is so nice! Japanese calls this album "Four Hours in the Dirt".
Wasn't some of this footage included in the Flowers in the Dirt deluxe box set? I have seen this before just in a different order. It's cool footage though. Are there others out there that often find the takes better than the finished recordings of songs.
The producer talking over Paul's knee slapping attempt says alot about Macca's playfulness and tolerence I guess. I would have asked him to shut the fook up while I try and slap my knees in time.....but I don't have a producer, or record contract or world famous status in popular music.

Music pulses through Paul's blood.👍
🥰..."one couldn,'t ask for more"says Paul 👍 ....what a heavenly working atmosphere! There's even a little "spontaneous combustion"!😂🤩😍
The knee slapping bit is hilarious!

Brilliant colour, Kitsu! 🤩I never grow tired of the ad libbed line, "Arkansas, that's the place for MEEEEE, YEAH!"
Thanks for the line! Do you happen to know the one containing the words "....sex machine..."?? TIA!

Yes, I restored it from the FITD archive set. I'll upload some more with Paul and Elvis.
Some of it was first seen in the "Put It There" documentary in 89 ! The "leg claps" scene for instance.
5'22" ... amazing.
gotta love billy, give him his respect before he passes on ... if you don't agree he's about to inform you anyway
There’s no one named Billy in the video
Looks like maybe some of that computer equipment was still there several years later during the Anthology era.

The song is "This One" off the Flowers in the Dirt album.

Agree. Production still has some 80’s gloss to it. Album had its moments but fell short overall IMO.
