This list only includes standard height deadlifts - so no hummer tyre, silver dollar, 18 inch etc. There are a couple of variations that we’ve included, like Rogue’s/Arnold’s elephant bar deadlift. With a few exceptions, suits and straps are usually allowed in Strongman.
Links to video sources are in the video description if you want to watch these lifts/competitions in full ☝🏽💪🏽
What about Hoopers 475?
@@BenaiahFit that's true. Must've been a small oversight, considering his show wasn't well known, and he wasn't a top pro like he is now.
What about Eddie's 465 and Thor's 460 on the same days at their 500/501 lifts? Both of those were very fast and well worth watching on their own even though they were only warmups
@@BenaiahFit Yes !!!!
@@alexfrye6 we went with the strongmen’s ‘top lifts’ on the day rather than their lifts warming up to something bigger. When we included the warm ups in ‘the draft list’ there was a lot less variety in numbers/athletes/competitions. It was a bit samey.
One lift we did accidentally miss was Jerry’s 467kg at the rogue record breakers in 2017. It’s not listed on Strongman archives, which was my main source 🤦🏼♀️
Mitch’s 475kg also isn’t on the archives, none of the Static Monsters are. The guy who runs the archives is a friend so I’m going to blame him completely 😂
People have seemingly forgotten how incredible all these lifts were and are. Sure, 500 is ridiculous but every lift at this level deserves a huge amount of respect, especially if it's coming from a well-rounded strongman who isn't just a specialist.
Absolutely. These lifts also do a disservice to how difficult a 400kg deadlift is.
Indeed indeed yes, wow all so clean and beautiful 👊
I mean if anyone is that ignorant that’s on them. It might help to list the pounds other than kilos. 1000lbs sounds magical 😅smh.
I mean if anyone is that ignorant that’s on them. It might help to list the pounds other than kilos. 1000lbs sounds magical 😅smh.
We wait Nedzmin who will lift 505kg
Jerry's 465 moved so smooth! And the speed of Eddie's 475.5 at WSM at the end of a full comp was unbelievable
Eddie’s at WSM was 472.5, but yes you are correct
Jerry definitely had more in him that day.... absolutely flew off the floor looked more like a warmup lift !
Good to see Jerry's lift getting some love, it was a cracker and defo more in the tank. I feel he's overlooked sometimes on how good his dl was.
"Eddie is beating the record by just 1 kilo". I see what you did there. I see it.
XD
Eddie would never
Then he broke his record by how many?
35Kg my guy
1KG is stronger than Eddie Hall 😂😂😂
I’m surprised with how much Shaw was on this list. I knew he was a good deadlifter but didn’t know he was that good
Yep was fantastic until father time and multiple hamstring injuries caught up with him. Still easily a 420-430kg deadlifter when his hamstrings behave
He’s a 4X strong man dude wt u expect
Rauno as number 3 as a master and way smaller than Hapthor and Eddie is incredible
And his lock was perfect.
Incredible that this list starts at 460kg leaving no room for any lifts more than 8 years old.
Good point. It’s a list of absolute weight without any reflection on milestone lifts before modern training techniques and lifestyle sacrifices.
Would be interesting to follow the lift records through time and maybe get a line graph to demonstrate the jump to 500kg
Beni Magnusson 460kg no suit no straps in 2011 is the most incredible deadlift I've seen. Shame it wasn't included.
I was looking for that also
Now I'm required to rewatch Thor's last heavy training lift before the Arnold Classic when Larry was there. I need to relive the hype.
My Favorit lift of all time xD
People tend to forget how awesome Brian was at deadlifting before the injury.
I think he could've pulled 480-485 kg had he actually went for deadlift specialization.
@@a-a-rondavis9438 He and jerry would have both done ~485 on the night Eddie pulled 500kg
It blows my mind people are so quick to forget how dominant he was.
@@ExecutiveRocket I don't think he's ever done a WDC, and being that Brian can never enter a ESM, he wouldn't peak for just a deadlift in the middle of the Strongman season. I think Brian's deadlift only max could've been 485 kg. But not on the night Eddie did the 500.
@@ExecutiveRocket being shorter, Eddie has a natural advantage in that discipline.
Thors ASC elephant bar at 474kg was ridiculous. No suits, no figure 8 and made it look easy
Benni’s raw deadlift at the Ronnie Coleman Classic will always be my favorite deadlift ever!
That was an incredible lift 💪🏽
Jerry's 465 at 2016 ESM was so smooth. Thor's 501 was just brutal. What a monster
Thor had at least 510 him, probably 520
It went up in one motion. No hitch!
Yeah he definitely had at least 510
Yea, I feel like Jerry mightve had another 35 kilos in him. I wish they didn't nudge him out for Eddie that night. He dam well mightve pulled 500kg as well. They fooked him mayte
@@SmokePurp305 45 minutes break. Scandal
I can't decide between Thors 501 or his elephant bar biggest lift, because no suit is just unreal.
This was a nice and informative video, although I noticed that Jerry Pritchett’s 467 kg elephant bar deadlift was missing, and Brian’s 2016 and 2019 pulls were swapped. (In other words, what you referred to as his 2016 pull was actually from 2019, and vice versa.)
Edit: Mitchell Hooper’s 475 was also missing.
Loz might not know about Mitch though
/s
@@PH34RB Given that Loz is his coach, I think it's safe to say he knows Mitch's max deadlift.
@@AdamA-qc6nc do you know what /s means?
Eddie also pulled 465 at Europe's 2016 which was missing
@@branominal8564 I do now lmao
This was awesome. There were some amazing lifts that some may have forgotten about, or some never heard about!
Great job Loz and Lizzie!
Benni is still my favorite deadlifter ever. That dude made world records look easy, sometimes even as powerlifting-legal lifts. And then putting the weight down so softly…. Incredible.
He still has the second best deadlift in powerlifting raw category, and his was conventional, dude in front of him pulled sumo.
@@jacobsvetich8735 and a bar I can’t pronounce it’s name
@@AlejandroSanchez-pl6jw ?
@@jacobsvetich8735 i think it was the kabuki bar ?
@@AlejandroSanchez-pl6jw they don’t allow kabuki bars in powerlifting? I’m not even sure one would be strong enough for a WR deadlift. Do you mean a deadlift bar instead of a stiff or Olympic bar?
Rauno with the 3rd heaviest pull, looking about half the size of Eddie and Thor. I think he has 505 kg in him if he focuses his effort on it and stays injury free.
He is too old + his body is fried from a long injury ridden carrera, non the lest i think he can go for 490 ish if he stays injury free and has another prep like this years
My favourite deadlift video is Thors 473 kg on the elephant bar in his gym because of all the vikings and Larry around creaming him to another level. This video adds a lot of weight to your deadlift seasson when you watch it in before your workout...
The ASC clean lifts no suits, no fig 8 straps the way it should be. Having said that, these are all fabulous lifts no doubting the lockouts. Brilliant to see them all in one vid . Thanks Loz&Liz
Fig 8 straps are fine. I would like suits to be gone though.
@@ZachGatesHere they’re not. It lowers the bar to your finger tips
Suits need to be eliminated for sure
Mr Loz I love these videos! This channel is one of my favourites actually.
I actually shed a tear 🥹 This video sums up soo much. The effort of these giants, the progress of human strength, the athletes not always being recognized as the best (Raino etc), and the end with (I will dare to say) the peak strength of humans in our recorded history - Thor.
I get goose bumps and actually got teary eyes. The journey we the fans has got to follow thanks to internet and these giants letting us in and the events getting open for everyone has made me survive lonelyness and depressions. This is so much more than a sport. I just hope Giants live and WSM could understand this also 🙏
Thank you Loz and Liz for all you do for the sport. I am truly very grateful 🙂
This video really makes me miss seeing Thor in Strongman.
Very nice video. I seen a lot of Brian Shaw. He's my favorite overall strongman. All the lifts are awesome for sure.
Hafthor in his prime looked like a goddamn grizzly with a human head. 6ft9, 450lbs. On the one hand I'm sad that he's so small only a couple years later. On the other hand I understand, that there is no way he could maintain that size without serious health effects.
To cut Thor some slack on his deadlift. He planned on listing 505 in competiton and trained for it... then covid shutdowns ended the competition. That was the only reason why he did the lift out of competition.
B.b.b.b.b.but.... he should have waited for things to reopen in order to do his lift legit!!! All he would have had to do is delay his retirement for a year and then it would have been fine!
@@kappaferret6052 Eddie completely chatted sh**. True Geordie on his podcast with Eddie said he knew it was happening before the announcement, meaning Thor never called him out. So Thor needed to train boxing, he couldn't have waited another six months and Eddie knew this.
@@kappaferret6052 true. But peaking for a world record lift may be a once in a lifetime. He not be able to reach that level again.
Actually, if you look close enough, both lifts have very similar circumstances, and dare I say, Thor had a stricter schedule than Eddie did.
@@xSpecterx99999999 I was being sarcastic. The whole talking point that a lift doesn't count outside of competition is garbage that was spewed by Eddie and his fanboys. Titles such as Worlds Strongest Man are won in competition. World records can be set at any time so long as they are verified. If I was to throw the world's fastest baseball pitch at 160 mph and it was verified by Guinness, is it illegitimate because it wasn't thrown in an actual game? And why is this even a talking point anyways when eddie didn't even do the whole competition? He did the deadlift and then dropped out
Liked for not gatekeeping Thor well deserved record, the post-hoc attempts to add new rules to somehow invalidate it really irk me.
It’s not about gatekeeping, it’s about doing the lift fairly. All others records have been done in competitions where athletes have time limits, progressions, etc… Most athletes have PRs during training but those lifts are not eligible for records. Thor’s lift although incredible is more like a training PR than a competition record.
@@ryankay5097 It was done fairly, following prescribed weight increases and rest periods, what would not be fair is to prevent athletes from being able to break records because the world is in lockdown. Nothing has prevented other athletes from setting up their own world record breaking events. EVERYTHING prevented Hafthor from being able to lift in competition. You simply don't understand what is and is not fair.
Honestly, ALL records should be done like this to prevent situations where people with connections like Eddie can set-up sham competitions that exist only so they can do their record attempt and nothing else. Question, had Hafthor let some random bloke on the street attempt a lift so that it is technically a competition, would that have made it fairer? No? Then your position is nonsense. And that is not even getting into the fact that all these supposed variables people keep going on about in competitions only means that they are inherently poorly controlled, and therefore UNFAIR!
You also don't know what a record is, the word "record" is in reference to the fact that it is "recorded", aka, it's not something that is done, but something that has been verified and documented and can thus be assumed to be correct. It has nothing to do with "in competition". Eddie Hall has the record of deadlifting in a competition, the same way that I might be able to get the record of deadlifting in a tutu in my room. Anything can be a record if you put enough asterisks on them, if you limit the pool of available options enough. Eddie hall has the record for deadlifting in a competition. Thor has the record for deadlifting, period.
People forget that prior to hamstring injuries, Brian was in the 1000+ mix with Eddie and Thor. Up until 5 or 6 years ago, there were only a handful of strongmen in the 1000 pound club
"There will always be controversy about this lift"
Well, I dont think so. As more people are informed about the circumstances of both Eddies and Thors lifts, naysayers will be muted.
A lift is a lift, there's no quantum antigravity field in a home gym that makes the weights weigh less.
@@aaronbarlow4376 unless I measure 5 kilo and say it's 10.
@@aryanjain8872 Unlikely if you're a top strongman official like Magnus. If caught allowing cheating it would be the end of his career, and he's an honourable man's man.
@@aryanjain8872that’s bs. It is controversy to think it isn’t 501 they measured everything life.
Nice video and edition. You voice sounded very clear, Loz! I just missed Hooper's deadlift, he deserved to be in this list.
Great selection of lifts Loz 👍
Amazing video about some amazing lifts.
Great video, would love to see one with "alternative" deadlifts. Stuff like the hummer tire DL, 18" DL, etc. Can't compare weights directly that way but it could be a "most awesome" video rather than "heaviest".
There wasn't any mention of Jerry's 467 on the elephant bar
I love these types of vids
Thor's 501 looked so good, I think he could've done quite a bit more! Crazy stuff🔥
He easily had 510 imo
Plus he did it with a minor lat tear!
Thor has said the 2 main reasons he did 501 was that 1) it was enough to break the record and 2) it left the door open for future strongmen to try and break the record
@@richardthomas3697 honestly more interesting to see people pushing for the record now instead of waiting years for anyone to even stand a chance at breaking it, if course it would have been more impressive to see hafthor do 505 or 510 (or even 520 but I think he said that as more of a joke) but 1 time impressive is worse than months and months of multiple people pushing for it
Wow, it’s weird not to see Big Z in a top 20 😂 Even crazier is how much the deadlift has come along. Mateusz’ PB for a single is 420kg and it’s still by far his worst event, costing him massive points every time. Until that legendary Giants Live show in 2011 where the record was broken 9 times (?), nobody had ever lifted more than 410. This is why the deadlift is my favourite event, it’s the ultimate token of progression in the sport. 505 is coming soon, especially since Gerrit Badenhorst’s 410 from 1996 stood for 12 years.
I would’ve put his hummer tire wr in 2014 in here
@@BenjieWinney standard height it said
@@BenjieWinney standard height it said
But if you put that in there is a lot of other guys who have lifted heavier with the tires.
@@davidmoore2308because it’s easier due to their size
It would be awesome to see a series like this with all the records. The log, axle, circus dumbbell, etc. All awesome implements with really storied histories. It would even be cool to see some of the rep records. Guys like Mark Felix and Rauno get recognized for their abilities, it when you look at who they’ve beaten in rep va max events it is another level of awesome!
Thor has the heaviest but Eddie has the craziest. The record was 465kg when he did it, and that was the record he set earlier that damn day. It would be like if Thor had pulled 536 after the 501. It was such an insane leap forward people didn't think it was humanly possible.
And not only that but Eddie stood there after the lift holding that weight while he looked side to side before putting it down. No doubt Thor made the lift look easier years later, but what Eddie did that night was such and inspiration for the sport and many people who had never even followed the sport all heard and watched the night Eddie shocked the world with a lift like 80lbs heavier than the previous record. Which is why it stood so long and still to this day hasn’t been topped in actual competition. Thor’s as we all know was judged by his family and we all saw the fastest ok signal i have ever seen by a judge, though i believe Thor did the lift clean. However it is one thing to do it at home in your own gym, another completely to do it in the middle of competition where you have to time your adrenaline pump and yet you have no idea when you are going to go, how long the guys before you will take, how long setups will take. Timing that adrenaline rise so you don’t blow it early and get a huge adrenaline dump just as you go to lift is far harder. So while i give Thor the lift, it’s not the same as Eddie’s lift in the middle of competition, Eddie deserves the acolades he gets, and i am a thor fan. But i still give the nod to Eddie still. When someone beats his lift in competition then i will give it to them. I realize Thor had to do it in the middle of covid so again i give him the lift. But that doesn’t mean i put it above Eddie’s accomplishment. When someone pulls 501 or 505kg in compeition they will take that crown as far as i am concerned. Just like they did for several years going up by 1kg or 5kg before Eddie did the 30kg jump.
That's it??? Lol
I love your videos
Benny magnusson Raw 460kg deadlift is one of the most impressive I've seen
Everyone always forgets when Jerry pulled 1031 at the arnold in 2017
He had the Elephant Bar WR for a bit there.
Thor really needs some respect on his name when it came to deadlifts!
Didn’t see Benedict Magnussons lift on 463kg with no straps on, it is my favorite beside Halfthors 501 that looked pretty easy, probabaly could done 505 that day👍🏻😎
Crazy that Brian was deadlifting over 1000 only 3 years ago. Those hamstring injuries were such a shame. It’d be nuts if he could ever get it back to that level!
Same with Jerry prichett. Lots of back injuries
@@the_snowball3718 ya Pritchett got screwed by Giants love when Eddie hit the 500. Jerry hit the 465 so easy, but then when Eddie hit it, they made him wait 45 minutes. He cooled down and then tore his hamstring going for the 500 himself. Sadly, his deadlift has never been the same since.
@@matthewcincotta62 was a 45 minute wait? Only counted like 20 mine
@@the_snowball3718 I didn’t actually watch the show when it happened. I’m just going off of what Jerry said in an interview before. Maybe it wasn’t 45 minutes from when Eddie did his lift, maybe it was 45 minutes between Jerry’s lifts. Not sure
Eddie's lift was amazing but Thor with that 501 just crazy man my favourite one is Benny I love that he only takes ice cream seriously 😅
undisputed winner has to be thor when he peaked for deadlift. Even his haters think that the lift was way too comfortable and he forgot to struggle and maybe die in the process.
would love to see a video of just crazy feats of strongman strength -- in comp or in training -- standard stuff and craxy none standard stuff -- old or new guys -- toms record stone - plane pulls - logs - stone block press - keg toss battles - conan circle classics - squat battles
I can't get over how easy Thor made the lifts look compared to the other guys.
Not taking anything away from the other guys, but how smooth Thor does these lifts is really impressive.
maybe because it wasn't 501kg...use your brain buddy
Thor specialized on the deadlift, and we know now that what he sets his mind into, he achieves. His deadlifts were outrageous before 2017.
Yep it was 501.0005kg
@@comandante8532 It was absolutely 501kg. You're the one who needs to use his brain.
@@comandante8532 Use your brain buddy, Thor pulled 474kg without a suit for a speed rep in 2019. What do you think happens when he puts on a suit & figure 8s 1 year later with more strength? 🤦🏼♂️
People can argue about Thor vs Eddie all they want, but both of them made it look easier than everyone else pulling lesser numbers.
Also Jerry could have pulled 480 minimum in 2016.
I love how brain is so tall and physically massive his deadlift is essentially a snatch grip high hip pull, its all in the back
Eddie raised the bar ( literally ) for everyone else as he did what to one thought possible !
Jesus, Thor's physique when he pulled 501! I have seen action figures with less muscles 10:03
His legs were immense at that time
Thor was about 208kg when he did the 501

the jump from 3rd to the top 2 is huge.. just can't see anyone pulling 500k for another few years yet..
Hi uncle lozz, i have a big request. Can you do a video like Top 10 strongmen in each decade (80s,90s,2000s,2010s,2020...)please.
I'm a big fan of you and strongman. Watch all of your videos. Pls pls
The most incredible thing about Thor's 501 is that his legs are not shaking after lockout. He's perfectly stable, definitely had more in him!
510-520 for sure
Knees were locked and hips were visible, and all the way through. Those soft knees and baggy shirt on Eddie always bothered me. Eddie's was impressive, but I'm not convinced he was fully locked out, at all

I’ve been a strong man fan since the early 90s, watching Eddie Hall pull 500killo and what that man has done for the sport is utterly amazing, I still go back and watch his 500 lift it was electrical. Hats off to you Big Loz I remember watching you and Big Brian go back and fourth breaking the record and what you and Liz are doing for the sport now is amazing. Keep up the great content and much love from the State’s.
I forgot how fast 475 looked for Ivan
What's particularly interesting about Hafthor's 501kg is he looked like he had more in the tank, I think he could do 505kg if he wanted to.
Thor looks like something out of a comic book and his 501 could or at least looks like a 510 was possible, all the people involved with Eddie and take away this lift from Thor look petty and small, the man lifted 501kg period and it didn't almost kill him
Big Loz just took the channel a level up!
Eddie’s 500kg… brings tears to my eyes hearing him talk about where he had to go to make it happen.
Thor’s 501kg, ridiculously easy and it saddens me how small he is now lol. Felt the same size when I met him in Iceland
thors only 155kg now so small lol
I could run through a wall after hearing the hype up for Thor’s 501kg
I think you missed Jerry Pritchett's then-record lift on the elephant bar, from 2017, I believe.
Lol love how you address eddie breaking the world record by 1kg after he raised a stink about 501kg
I just love that 500 of EH, when the blood starts running out of his nose because he holds it for so long.
It’s crazy how a few years ago 460 was deemed as insane. And now we have multiple people going for 505’s in a single competition. I can’t wait to see how high people can go. Would be interesting to see how much people like Mitch Hooper can do if they put the time and dedication into it!
It's not the human progress. The physiology stays the same. Wins the one who has a better equipment, farma and training.
The elephant bar deadlifts are really impressive as the bar is longer and no suits are allowed
Amazing video as always, i missed this kind of video
I think It must be noted that there are a few missing lifts. Jerry Pritchett 467Kg Elephant Bar 2017, ASC, Rogue récord breakers been the one i think should be there., I imagine Makarov's 470 in 2020 and Mitch Hooper 475 in 2021 Wouldn't make It due to not been international competition, as well as Peiman 460 in 2021. Also Eddie and Thor, both pulled 465 before 500 and 501.
Yeah I was expecting to see Mitch in there
It looks like they've based this list off strongman archives. According to that, Jerry Pritchett lifted 447 kg in 2017 (no idea if this is correct). Also, it wouldn't include smaller comps like the ones where Makarov/Hooper/Maheripourehir lifted big.
omg the support for #1 in the crowd doin the magic !
how much could Thor have lifted if he was willing to nearly die like Eddie was... 530? He made 501 look easy
I know this is a controversial topic, and I've gone back and forth on this in my head, but I think I've finally figured out my stance on it. To me, Rauno is the strongman deadlift world record holder. I know I'm not the grand authority on anything, but my reasoning is simple. What is strongman? I define it as a multi-event competition to determine who is the strongest man. As an avid watcher, I cannot disconnect strongman from the competition. Doing a farmers walk in a gym isn't strongman. Any lift done outside of a strongman contest is just that. A log press isn't strongman, it's a lift. A yoke walk isn't strongman, it's an exercise. The competition itself is what makes strongman what it is. So just because someone deadlifts with straps and hitching, it's not a strongman deadlift unless it's part of a strongman competition. And if the competition is only one event, you can't consider that strongman either since the entire point of modern strongman is to test multiple areas of strength to determine the strongest man. The deadlift world championships isn't a strongman competition, it's a deadlift contest. Without discounting their monumental achievements, respectfully, Eddie's 500 and Thor's 501 deadlifts shouldn't be considered strongman records.
If we say feats of strength done outside of strongman competitions can be strongman records, I think we've lost sight of what strongman is. Records are not the most important part of strongman, in my opinion, but they do mean something. Allowing strongman-style lifts done outside the confines of a strongman competition to count as strongman records takes away from in-contest achievements. It's not to discredit Eddie or Thor, but their lifts should be in a separate category. When Loz broke the Dinnie stone record, he didn't break a strongman record, he broke the Dinnie stone record. The same should apply to Thor and Eddie. Strongman records should only include lifts done in strongman competitions, and strongman competitions cannot be just one event. Therefore Rauno is the strongman deadlift world record holder.
I agree and disagree. Order of events, and how much effort an athlete gives vary. A first event record (like the deadlift championships) will be much different than a record in the fourth event, since you will probably be fatigued by that point (if you dont half ass it). Whats the point of differentiating between these things when we cant measure the difference?
Eddie pulled out after the deadlift event (had to be carried away even, so he wasnt phisically capable of even half assing the rest of the competition). Thor on the other hand looked good to do a few other events (but obviously it wasnt a multi event comp). So my point is, on the one hand, you have an athlete that did a record and then didnt really perform in comp, and on the other, an athlete that did a record and then didnt perform in comp.
Nice bideo
I think Rauno's lift is the most impressive to me, given that it happened during a full competition.
Eddie's is 2nd because of how hard he shattered the previous record, and how much it lit a fire under everyone else.
My favorite is still Bennie doing 1016lb was it? Completely Raw at the powerlifting competition. Still the heaviest "raw" conventional DL I beleive
He just wandered on up, grabbed the bar and up it came. I have to rate it the best in the world imho. No straps, not suit. Belt only. Unbloodybelievale.
2014 and Benni was moving a weight so ridiculous, it's been almost a decade. I hope Thor comes back, now he has lifted 300 kg for a triplet.
I am not a fan of eddies but that 472.5 on a stiff bar with stupid plate setup was a truly incredible lift, on day 2 of WSM fatuiged after multiple events makes it even more incredible
Thanks Uncle Loz
Hi Loz, do you know which charity hafthor bjornsson selected for eddie hall from boxin match? Or was giving money to charity just talk talk talk
Neither have been paid yet due to the ongoing lawsuit by Coresports on Segi. That’s why neither have given money to charity, the simply do not have it. Thor spoke about it on twitch recently
@@joshbrooker5819 Thanks. Finally got some answer to this
Would be interested to see top 20 log lifts as of 5 years ago. 1-20: Zydrunas ;)
It's just impressiv how eddie and thor lifted there pr 👍👍
Raumo! Amazimg! My fave, with Eddie's 500kg!
I would have put magnuss strap free deadlift video in here. That was the craziest one I’ve seen
I'm most impressed by Rauno's 476kg ! He was 40 years old, and weighed probably 100 lbs. less than most of the guys on the list, especially Eddie and Thor when they did their biggest lifts. So Rauno has the 3rd heaviest lift in history, and he went on to do the entire competition and came in 6th place! His self-admitted weakness was his grip strength with the farmer's walk, but had he completed it in under 50 seconds, and then held his front hold for just 5 seconds longer, RAUNO would have been on the podium! And the very next day, instead of relaxing, he walked all around London all day with Liz and Loz!!!!!! AT AGE 40!!!! 12 hours after doing a full strongman show! Simply incredible!
This was awesome!!! Thor is king
I don't like Thor or Eddie, but a lot of respect for their Lifts, absolutely amazing achievement. Just wish their Egos hadn't gotten in the way of what could have been an amazing competition
Eddie's 500kg lift is the most hardcore thing, just staring at the crowd nodding with blood coming out his nose. The Beast.
Enjoyed the video - I would have liked to seen which was most impressive as opposed to just weight. You alluded to it with Eddies 472.5kg based on the full competition. Similar to Rauno 476kg and also Eddie jumping the WR by 35 Kg.
Yea, and there's also the no suit or straps category too.
How is it similar to Rauno's? Eddie did the heats and then four events of the WSM final before his 472kg pull whereas Rauno pulled 476kg in the first event fresh.
@@AdamA-qc6nc fair point but was also factoring in that it was also a masters record.
@@edsalmon1449 Rauno is only 40, plenty of strength athletes hit their static peaks in their late 30s to early 40s. Yes, it's impressive to do it at 40 but I wouldn't say that beats a 500/501kg pull, you could also argue Rauno has had more years of strength training. Sorry, i know you never said it was more impressive, I thought I was replying to a different comment haha.
Does anyone know why biz Z is not mentioned here
and still were waiting for Oberst to get his American Log Lift record.
What was wrong with thors lift at 501kgs, it looked like he could have done quite a bit more to me.
What did you not include in Neđmin Amešković's video?
The lightest deadlift on this list is 460kg and Nedzmins comp pr is 455kg.
Auntie Liz going crazy with these new text transitions 🤣
🤪😅
While technically they should have been no's 3 and 4 , I'm glad you didn't include peimans and makarovs 480 and 481 from the comp they did together, as neither lift was remotely locked out( although who am I to argue with the ref)
I want to see heaviest weighted hyperextension ever, a back isolation exercise.
Eddie was so strong man and was the best deadlifter in the world during his time wish he would of did a powerlifting meet before he retired
Eddies 472.5 gets overlooked I think, because it happened at WSM and because he pulled 500 the year before, but for me its way up there, and he looked like he still had 500 in him if he needed it, he pulled it with ease compared to Thor and Brian failing at lesser weights
Number 20 starting off over 1000 lbs. Crazy
