I've been acting for 5 years, been self-educating longer - and I'm so grateful my first acting coach emphasized the power of non-verbals. More than half of performance doesn't have dialogue. Embrace the scene and feeling.

Gary Oldman's performance in State of Grace is one of my all time favorite acting performances. It's not easy to upstage Penn, but Oldman owned every scene he was in. And to think he didn't even get nominated.
