People criticise Naked Gun in this lineup but just because its a comedy doesn't mean its not great acting. Its harder to make people laugh It not just jokes, it calls for comedic timing and subtlety. This scene is actually great acting from Leslie Nielson
Facts, there are comedy movies that are masterpieces and not just tregady, Sadly I have a dumbass friend who think drama movies is masterpieces only and comedy ones are not.
I love that scene from Taxi Driver. It seems how Travis, an idealist, sees the real life and how he don’t wants to accept it because it’s something that he can’t change (obviously he did something at the end). Robert De Niro is really... I can’t describe that but is wonderful.
I really think Orenthal killed it in that scene though. I havent scene that actor in many films since then, and I wonder why. He really was slaying everything he was in back in those days.
Thank you a lot for including we need to talk about Kevin. The performance are so great and yet so humble considering the gravity of topic. Bringing it back together and cleaning up the mess, containing all anger, is the most difficult thing to do. Tilda portrays it so well.
Such a great choice to involve Leslie Neilsen from the Naked Gun. Just because it's comedy, doesn't mean it isn't acting. His comedic acting and delivery in the Naked Gun series is astounding. No one else could have played that part.
I've seen 10's of 1000's of films in my life and it's not just underrated, I'd argue it's one of the best of the 21st century and EASILY one of the top five best films directed by a woman.
@@JimmySmash1998 more realistically... A true gangster would never come back with his girlfriend to take revenge the same night, parked in front of the entrance then get blocked, accidentally been seen by the only cop that could recognize him and startesd running to an abonded airfield hiding like a rat when he had the chance to kill the cop easily at least 20 times.. A better ending would be him somewhere having holidays with his woman and 6 months later the snitch's car explodes while his whole family is inside.. Job done
I'm a huge Tom Hardy fan, and it wasn't till more than half way through that I said, "Holy shit! Is that Tom Hardy? What the? How the hell did I miss. . .?! Anything is right
I’ve been fortunate to have seen many great films from almost every genre. When I was 13, I saw The Exorcist (I know it was restricted, but I got in all the same), & I was totally blown away. To this day, I really think that Linda Blair, who was 12 at the time of the shooting, should have definitely won an Oscar for her performance. Imagine how tough it must have been for her. Her role would have been a challenge for an adult, physically challenging & emotionally draining. She did a magnificent job.
Finally a nod to Tom Hardy for his role in The Revenant. One of the best played villain roles of all time. Right up there with Heath Ledger's joker in my opinion.
That movie was unreal, my God. We see movies so many times about the families of the victims but what we don’t realize is the family’s of the assailants are also victims, the only difference is, they have nobody to talk to, there’s no sympathy for them, it’s not always their fault. Look at Jeffrey Dahmer, everything in his life was normal. It was him, it was he who had the problem; as one detective put it, he’s just not wired right!!!
what are theses soundtracks playing at the back ground, I believe that the 1st one is Ludovico Einaudi and the 2nd one is a soundtrack from a movie but I can't recognize it, could you please also mention your music in the description? thanks alot tho
This is a great post, thank you for posting. Robert De Niro, as Travis, and Jodie Foster, as Iris, having breakfast at the dinner restaurant would be another example of great acting too, but the choice you made is excellent. .
The first scene is the best, imao... pure, raw realism, all the rest look "staged" in comparison with that. And this dialogue from Heat, also great, but in different way.
sitiosanguinem love what you do, when do you thunk the next compilation will be posted? I rely on the series of videos you edit together and post (specifically the 'The Best Acting of All Time" compilations) as i download them on my phone and draw inspiration from them almost everyday as an aspiring actor.
You should include some scenes from Generation War in your next video if you're going to make another. (If you haven't seen it, it's a three part series made in 2014 about German perspectives in WW2, it was great IMO.)
I think these scenes would greatly benefit from an expository context typed out in the description section. For example, Robert De Niro (bankrobber) & Al Pacino (detective on his case) - Heat.
the father and son scene reminded me a little of "the working man" from a bronx tale ...best scene ever... robert deniro telling his son about the real world...and another one is BLOOD DIAMOND "u are not a bad boy"
Great video. Can u do an updated 1? With Denzel Washington Man on Fire,Leonardo DiCaprioa, Sauel u L Jackon, Jackson, Christopher Waltz and Don Johson (I know his part was short but damn he was great this coming from a black man lol from Dango, Lena Headley, Cersei Lannister Game Of Thornes, Heath Ledger The Dark Night. Agreed😄😄😄👏👏👏❤❤❤
Thank you my friend. Absolutely loved each bit of fine acting. You da man!!
Could you write the Movie's name for each extract please
i've been through 7 of your clips. probably about 90% of your clips are of male actors. Is good acting really rare among female actors?
No comparison. Two giants. Al Pacino and Robert DeNiro.
Easily one of the best scenes of all time
this movie also has the best on screen shoot out of all time
🏆🏆👍👍
I was hoping that De Niro would get away with it tbh. I don't fault the ending though.
Only good in the early days. Then got lazy and riding that train since the 70s
People criticise Naked Gun in this lineup but just because its a comedy doesn't mean its not great acting. Its harder to make people laugh It not just jokes, it calls for comedic timing and subtlety. This scene is actually great acting from Leslie Nielson
Thanks a lot. I wonder why so few people seem to notice that.
not alot of people realise leslie nielson was a serious role actor before he starred in airplane

You can also think that he’s a traumatised veteran not fiting anymore to the civilian life.
Al Pacino and Robert DeNiro Heat
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I think most people miss the fact that the two characters are in fact Brothers. Why else would he hold his hand at the end?
Incredible performances in an incredible film!
Breaking bad was a deep one
that show is a piece of art
My God, Breaking Bad...
My God Bryan Cranston......
Unreal ❤
The best acting OJ did was in court
Mr Lloyd 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
He really got away with murder i still can't believe it
Lmaoooo
The Glove scene was a classic😂🤣😂
OJ was innocent
Thank you for putting in Naked Gun. Leslie was such an underrated actor.
absolutely
As a Nebraskan I can appreciate the "getting caught in the gears of a combine" line. hahaha
I really think Orenthal killed it in that scene though. I havent scene that actor in many films since then, and I wonder why. He really was slaying everything he was in back in those days.
Again with the RUclips underrated comments. Leslie Nielsen has never been underrated, he's a freakin legend
FASHO💯

Tom Hardy is so f***ing good. He got oscar snubbed for his performance in Revenant.
Thank you, I have always said that
Oscars mean fck all these days
No he didn't actually! He WAS actually Oscar nominated for The Revenant! In fact, it is his only Oscar nominated performance.

robert with pacino..woww
the greatest scene of Cinema History which includes two of the greatest actors of cinema history.

I watched it for the first time. Very very below average. You all masturbate over it because the guy has a cool ponytail. So what

Its certainly up there. For me its al Pacino's speech about inches in any given Sunday
His real holy shit moment
For me it is De Niro's breakdown in jail. Raging Bull baby.
The best performance of 20th century
For me its the 'I abandoned my boy!' scene from There Will Be Blood

The Naked Gun scenes with the dramatic music is AMAZING. I genuinely love this series. For reals. I really love all these performances.
Looks like the youtube algorithm brought us together once again
11:06 anyone see Tom Hiddleston do a spot on impression of this scene in front of Robert DeNiro on the Graham Norton show?
OJ’s acting in real life was better than when he was actually trying to act. Interesting
Tears just comes out....every time I see these compilations.
Wow De Niro and Cranston :O great vids mate keep em coming!
Christopher Reeves acting at the end of somewhere in time is as good as it gets. You can see the heartbreak in his eyes.
