Hugh Jackman would make a perfect Joel in a "The Last of Us" movie.
Chill Gamer yes indeed!!!!!!
Ive always thought the same thing! I also thought of this movie when playing it!
Ellen page would also make a perfect Ellie!
He definitely would
I didn’t know they were making a movie of this is the last of us
shelbellify they aren’t
Not a lot of people commending Hugh Jackman’s acting in Prisoner. That movie was the best combination of drama and thriller.
soundtrack was phenomenal as well
Jake Gyllenhaal maybe even better but both were great there. Gyllenhaal detailed acting and scenes are incredible in this movie.
Agreed
I haven't seen the movie yet but that scene was really powerful
You have forgotten “the prestige”
Casey is a much better actor than Ben Affleck. I'm not sure why people put him in his brother's shadow so much.
Sir Banastre Tarleton Actually that's a matter of opinion...
Never really understood the hype around Ben; his acting is often lazy and stiff in the roles that I've seen him in.
Sir Banastre Tarleton They both are subtle actors. If you think Ben is then so is Casey. More then anything I think Ben picked bad roles early in his career.
But Ben is trying to be a screenwriter and a director as well which requires a lot more than being just an actor...
Sir Banastre Tarleton rigghhtt!! I thought so too.. I love his acting too bad he's a sexual predator 😒
I don't understand, Mark Wahlberg can either give me goosebumps or make me face palm. There is no in between
AuzzieArtyst it's the script. With the right kind of script he can be a great actor,
it can also be abit tricky, because sometimes when you see a person, and they seem to act like, really bad! then you see them in an interview, and they speak like that in real life too. so it makes me wonder, are they bad actors, or is the way they speak, just not convincing on camera somehow? i think alot of times mark wahlberg falls into that.
He not acting he is playing a guy who lives three streets down from me . anyone on my neighbors could do what he does
I loved him in Boogie Nights
@@danielgoss4710 idiot
The scene from prisoners with Hugh jackman is just too good
The scene with Gyllenhaal where Jackman's character talks about how his daughter is wanting her dad to come and rescue her and not the detective absolutely killed me.
R Lee i think jackman and maybe jake deserved a nomination for it
How Hugh didn't get nominated for an Oscar is beyond me. Idc if he wouldn't have won but he should've been nominated!
Also good when he is yelling at the detective in the car .
i agreed
Hugo was goddamn incredible in Hacksaw for fuck's sake..the dinner table scene and the court scene and the intro scenes all equally phenomenal..the man literally conveyed emotions through his eyes voice body face everything. Been a fan since I saw the Matrix as a child.
That scene with Casey Affleck in Into the Furnace is one of the most real and intense scenes I think I've ever seen in a movie. When you just completely cave and give way to just raw anger and emotion it looks a lot like that
The best acting of all time in the worst quality of all time
Mr. Limekiller apologies for that, my editing software needed some repair. The next video will be with better video quality
Not a huge deal dude, I'm just a dickhead all the time. Higher quality is always welcome though.
You picked some really good scenes by the way.
Try watching a 40 minute video about the life of Michael Jordan in 360p... lol horrific
God that Little Miss Sunshine scene gets me every time.
Casey Affleck and Michael Shannon are acting GOATs
Mary Maloney Casey Affleck he's just the best
A mean Manchester by the sea shit he's best performance
I love Casey Affleck, by far on of my favorites.
Casey affleck is an S tier drama artist
Out of the furnace scene, chills every time.
That movie is super underated
Casey is an S tier actor when it comes to drama.
Casey Affleck is one of a kind. Look at that scene, damn..
I mean everyone else seems shallow in comparison
So true how do i highlight this comment
casey affleck and christian bale. wow. casey’s performance and how christian could stay composed...
"I wish I had a 100 years. A 100 years I could give to you". That just gets me every time. Such a shame that A Monster Calls didn't do so well both in terms of box office or awards. Felicity Jones should have been nominated as Best Supporting Actress for her performance in my humble opinion.
Swikar Subba excellent scene
Brad Pitt needs an Oscar. I think he's one of the most underrated actors around. It's a pity he's so pretty. He'd probably have more awards by now if he was a 6.
Totally disagree. The man cannot do accents. Go watch Seven Years In Tibet. It's laughably bad.
Well he got one now
@@ProductofNZ Agree.
More like overrated because of his looks
Most overrated actor ever. Never disappeared into any of his roles and robbed Willem Dafoe and Al Pacino from an oscar who were both better than him that year
Prisoners is beyond underrated....the performance of every one in that movie kept me on the edge the entire movie.
Damn that scene with Alan Arkin.... right in the feels.
Fantastic film all around
What movie was that?
@@thebg64 Little Miss Sunshine I believe.
Out of thr furnace.. so much feels... casey is just so good with broken characters... like just deep down destroyed human being, he could portray it with so much feels
Exactly, there's good scenes with him too in Manchester by the sea
@@thorbeorn4295 hahahaha i watch that... the retribution scene with his wife if i am not mistaken?... the empty sad, forgive and forget, but the burning anger inside...
Let's talk about how fuckin' underrated Hailee Steinfield is!
Her performance in Edge of 17 was more Oscar-worthy than Emma's in La la fuckin land.
Amen brother. Such an amazing performance from such a young actress.
Disagree.
I didn't see that
Prisoners was just a total shocking movie all together...
"Never tell a soldier that he does not know the cost of war." You gave us so much, Mr. Rickman. Rest well.
Scene from Iceman was even more haunting because it actually happened.
Casey Affleck is also amazing in the assassination of Jesse James
"I don't get it, you wanna be like me or you wanna be me?"
Hugo Weaving is phenomenal in absolutely everything. His theatre work has greatly aided his screen performances.
Hugo didn't even get nominated for best supporting in Hacksaw Ridge.
He deserved it. Such a great scene
Oscars are a joke. I am an actor and filmmaker myself, but I don't care for the oscars too much anymore.
Hugh Jackman's scene will always be legendary.
what a touching and authentic scene between Alan Arkin and Abigail Breslin.
Dylan Minnette's scene was so fantastic that I forgot that it was from Don't Breathe!
Wow I never noticed how well Abigail Breslin acted in that scene. You
have to love when I child actor doesn't stunt the scene. I think that's
why Stranger Things did so well. Maybe some directors have a talent for
directing kids. Like Spielberg or possibly Kubrick.
Was really impressed with Mark Wahlberg in patriots day.
The ending of Super 8 is a prime example of how powerful something can be said without a single word being spoken. Plus, the score is emotionally brilliant.
Casey affleck is just insane... one of the best actors of all time.
A Monster Calls got totally snubbed for the Oscars. That kid was amazing!
hardy is one of the best actors I've ever seen.wow
Holy... that Casey Affleck scene...
Great as usual. Hugo Weaving performance was top notch. Wasnt expecting that, since he had small camera time
Pedro Ferreira Jorge the look on his wife's face in that scene was jaw dropping...ive never seen an expression on one's face that explains so much without saying anything...excellent scene
Can anyone else hear his Aussie accent?
The world gave fame to the wrong Affleck. Casey is a much better actor than Ben!
Theyre both amazing, don't undermine Ben or Casey, they're great in their own ways.
Exilion I think Ben is the better director and Casey is the better actor
Yea
Manchester by the sea. Master piece
He has an Academy. He's good now.
A lot of nice recent ones. Love all these
Jackie Earle Haley is such an amazing actor
The best acting IVE personally seen was the fight between Charlie and his wife in Marriage Story.
I gave my life to this country but what has it done for me! Epic line...so true
Nombre de la pelicula?
@@NormaLopez-vb8xx Out of the Furnace
hugh jackman's performance in that movie was breathtaking
you feel every line every emotion still gives me chills everytime I see that scene in the car with Jake gyllenhal
he deserved an oscar for this movie
This vid should have just been Steven Segal Clips.
why Hugh is amazing, that is all improv, the smashing of a real sink n wall.... fear is real there
Every year, i cam back into all this compilation, just to appreaciate all the actors effort.. and hugo and casey is spot on
Where's Matthew McConaughey in Interstellar? The scene where he cries as he sees the years of messages his kids left him.
Eltonium 42 another one of these vids has that scene
Thank you for using this Max Richter cover, it’s one of my favorite pieces and fits beautifully in almost every dramatic movie scene.
Snatch is the funniest movie ever.
The Iceman is criminally underrated. Great film about a super interesting character.
That scene from a monster calls is incredible. Great movie. Very powerful.
I don't know which movie the scene that made me cry just now was but it was the one where the guy said "It's not bad to work for a living.." and that triggered the other man to go off on about war and the tradedy he had to endure. When he was done her stormed out and slamed the front door leaving the furst man standing alone crying.
That last scene was too much. Hit me really hard
This is my favorite of these best acting videos
Oh my god those last ones almost made me cry
I'm not crying, I'm just cutting onions right now....
3:23 uff.. Alan Rickman you genius!!
Thanks for including Hailee Steinfeld! She's amazing!!
i was with friends when i started this video and i had just finished the prisoners scene when i stopped for a bit. we then decided what to watch and my friend suggested prisoners and i was like perfect. some of the best acting ive ever seen wow.
It would be nice if you would put the title of these movies with each clip, thanks so much
Out of the furnace is the most fucking criminally underrated movie I have ever seen. Absolute stack of a cast, it’s a masterpiece. Some of the best acting I have ever seen, had my dad and I glued to the TV in utter silence. The scene where Russel meets his girlfriend again is fucking devastating
Something about Terrance Howard just standing there, there’s an intensity it brings to the having him as an accomplice.
Amazing actors
I love these vids!! So inspiring I hope I can inspire with my acting demo!
That whole scene with George is amazing
That whole scene at 1:30 you can see the other actors look genuinely scared.
Did you understand a single word of what he just said? Goddamnit of the best lines ever :D Was surprised to find comedy acting in these compilations :)
The Casey affleck one got me
I'm one pf the few people who is here just for Casey. Casey Affleck is a fantastic artist no one better in finding a good balance between Dramatic and subtlety.
casey affleck all the way
Awsome combination ! great job man
Wow ! It's so good . Great!
I almost forgot about Hugo Weaving in Hacksaw Ridge.... Incredible performance. Excellent film actually. Jarring at times. I hope Gibson can keep it up now.
That iceman scene still get me
Hugh is just amazing
That Hacksaw Ridge though.
A Monster Calls got totally snubbed for the Oscars and that movie made me cry. The boy was amazing!
Prisoners and shutter island are two of the best of the last twenty years.
brilliant 💗
Out of the Furnace was fucking hard to watch man..
Kairos UNDERATED
Hugo in hacksaw ridge's dinner scene was phenomenal
Casey Affleck really impressed me. Never saw him act like that. Never.
amazing
Amores perros, Chivo letting the answer machine a message for his daughter.
For those who have not seen A Monster Calls (the last one in this compilation), the mother does not die at the end of the scene. She dies...
SPOILERS BELOW
at the end of the movie, when the boy goes to see his mother for the last time, with his Grandma, after finding out that the Monster (if it even existed) cannot cure his mother's cancer
9:08 Shannon AGAIN. What an actor.
The efficacy of prayer was funny :)
Great video, man! Thanks so much for your uploads. Have you considered opening a patreon page or something so that you can make more vids?
Casey Affleck is underrated
No...he's not. I watch everything he's in.
Marky mark got them tears.
1:41 My favorite part
1:17 and 2:06 are two of the best scenes
We miss you Alan, we miss you a lot.
You should add the monologue of Mr.Perlman in "Call me by your name" at the end of the movie
"I saw a fucking pile of feet in the middle of the street"
and it was so fucking litttttt
Alan rickman, what an actor. He stole robin hood
You should add some clips from the show Shameless. There are quite a few scenes that will make you cry.
Out of the furnace !!
Criticizers of the acting industry...should know...this is all that passes the little-known to the world...and expresses the value...of the misunderstood..
can never take whalberg's acting seriously after "The Happening'....I just can't....Casey Affleck however...oh man....how to outperform your brother....this guy is up there
Awesome
