@@JakeHarrington just an update on my situation. Got it installed but looks like trash and during the frustration I shattered the window. Fortunately lmc came in clutch
Hi Jake, Did you end up doing the vent window seal? Did you need to remove the anti-rattle kit in order to replace it? I'm about to embark on the anti-rattle kit and the vent seals. Appreciate your video and helpful comments.
To take out the old hard rubber around the vent window I used a small drill and little by little I was able to get the old rubber cleaned out of the channel. Unfortunately the center post is no longer available at Dennis Carpenter, or LMC and no one carries it. I just got a reply from LMC and they have no idea when they will ever get that part again. It is to bad that these part houses can't at least get the channel piece if they can't get the whole part.
It's a hard bend to make! I ended up taking something laying around with a similar radius and bending it using that object as a guide, if that makes sense!
Thank you for sharing! Excellent video. Restoring my 1965 f-100, your video is of great value
This is my issue on my 1964 Ford F250. Thank you for the video.
Hope it helps! 🙏
Thx Jake. Always great videos
Thank you!!
Thank you for share good video, good information and nice truck
Thank you! I hope it helps! 😀
Thanx. I needed that.
I'm glad you enjoyed the video! Watch for much more!
You made it look so easy. I about started hitting to door with a hammer. That bend is impossible for me
Hahaha I cropped all the frustration out! It definitely wasn't an easy task to get a pretty looking bend

Sorry to hear that! I just had to massage them around and try to get that round look! Did you get all of it straightened out?
@@JakeHarrington waiting on another door run. But I'm feeling good about this one haha
This was a concern that I had with many of these kits. The set I bought (company called REPOPS) already have the bend built in.

You could probably just loosen it up, and do it while it's still in the door. But it would be much easier, if you removed it from the door!
I had to take mine out. There are some portions that have to be riveted in and doing it in the door would be next to impossible.

Are you needing the main piece that goes all the way top to bottom?
@@JakeHarrington On one side is the vent window and on the other side is the window channel.
@@kermitefrog64 I'll see if I can't find something out there for you! They were definitely hard to find for me as well!
Also, let me know what you need for each side! I'll see what I can come up with
