This is a beautiful, unmolested Ford restored the right way. I love it! I hope to have a beautiful F100 of my own someday soon. 65 thru 79. The Bull noses, from 82 thru 86, or an F150 from 92 thru 96. Saving my money. Found a 65 short flareside bed with an inline 6. It's rough but it's complete. I offered the owner $3,000, but after 2nd thought it might have been too much. It was still there in June of 2024. I called him today and left a message. I'll call again tomorrow. A 240 cubic inch or 300 cubic inch inline 6 is fine with me.
Love your truck and story. Your Grand pop was an awesome man. I knew a few guys like that. You did a 1st class job fixing that truck. Much inspiration to fix my 65 custom cab it's much worse than that when you first started working on it. I did put 74 front disc power brakes on it back in the early 90s but nothing since. Kinda hoping my son wants to get wrenching on it with me after we get pops 89 f350 fineshed. Lots of ideas but no time and money. My is happy to see us working on the projects togeather. It's a family thing.
Nice truck. My dad had a 65 stepside. He kind of screwed up, but people don't make good decisions when they're drinking. He traded a 64 two door Falcon sprint 289 hipo 4 speed car that truck that had no engine or trans, but the frame had been sandblasted, primered and painted a dark blue color. All the suspension, chrome grill, bumpers dash and bench seat were nos from ford. We put a 4v cleveland /small block c6 trans in it. He later sold/ traded the engine and trans to a friend that wanted it for their maverick project. My dad not to much long got rid of the truck, but i never asked and he never told so who knows. So the body was primered, never painted. The biggest pain about it was his friend had the front end turned into a tilt frontend.
First of all you did an awesome job on that F-100 my story behind my 66 F-100 is similar to mine my Father (RIP) bought his truck off the Local Ford Dealer lot this Hemphil Mc combs dealeship didnt have a showroom just a hugh lot it ran my Father $2700 its a goldish color longbed with a 352 three on the tree i was only 9 yrs old when he broughr it home after work and the first thing that caught my attention was the Red Warning Hazard light on the dash i learned mechanics and how to drive on it just in the driveway i still daily drive it its semi original with the 352 with 390 unleaded heads Heddman hedders quiet thrush turbo mufflers Cold A/C under dash Bendix OEM power steering cloth bench seat Hurst Shifter Edelbrock intake Holley Carb Hays 40 lb flywheel Centerforce Stage 2 clutch system roller bearings bushings on the clutch n brake pedal assembly clutch pushrods with SS aircraft heim ends just to name a few mods been offered many times sums of cash but myself also have too many memories in it that i just cant or wont sell people in their $100 thousand trucks freak out when i pull up beside them an pass em up occasionlly its fun to drive and Brownie has never left me stranded in all the years n miles ive had her God Bless You for sharing similar truck backgrounds see you on the road one day sir
I'm building a 66 ford pickup as my winter project need a 45 dodge pickup last year,, you just sold me on the color I did the 45 white, can't go wrong with old trucks,
Beautiful truck! I have one similar and would like to convert the oil bath filter to a paper filter. Could I trouble you for the part number for the filter number? Wish I had your house power. Thanks
My first truck was a 66 F100 just like this, except mine had the three speed on the collumn with overdrive actuated by a cable under the dash. I loved that truck, but alas my nephew had an accident in it and it got rolled and totaled out
Obviously your opinion and my opinion of fully restored is way different. Fully restored to me means as it left the factory floor. That is a resto mod.
Good afternoon, I am writing to you from Buenos Aires. Could you tell me the color code of the truck, I know it is Wimbledon white but I don't know the code. thank you
Was that S.M.S UPOLSTRY or F.M.S. UPOLSTRY? Awsome ,beautiful machine man! Im in the process of rebuilding my 66 250 l.b. Rebuilt 460. In the painting stage at this time. Maroon and white. Thanks for the video.

Sweet
Esta hermosa hno....
I ask you since you have already done the experience and several codes appear in the color table.
is the paint ppg?
Do you use the original filler cap for fuel since you relocated the gas tank to the rear? If so, how did you route the filler tube?
Obviously your opinion and my opinion of fully restored is way different. Fully restored to me means as it left the factory floor. That is a resto mod.
What size are the tires and wheels?
Not a custom cab ranger tho is it
I have a 66 f100, you mentioned a company in Oregon that uses original materials, can you provide me the name?
