@@romella_karmey Sorry for the late reply... RUclips in their infinite wisdom decided to turn off my reply notices (again). There is a big difference. A keyboard is mechanical not a circuit board. It depends on what kind of keyboard it is, and very very few cannot remove their key caps. Membrane keyboards are not called "Mechanical" but technically they are a mechanical device. You would have to disassemble the keyboard to do this. If you have a Membrane Keyboard you would have to remove the key caps, open the case, sperate the membrane from the contact circuit board and then you could clean 3 separately making very sure to thoroughly rinse and dry both the board and the side of the membrane. You then may have to lubricate the switch mechanism with a dielectric grease or similar lubrication. Mechanical Keyboards are a bit more complicated as you would have to remove the switches as each is an enclosed mechanism, often requiring desoldering them and any stabilizers first. You may even have to open the switches and clean them individually in some cases. Unless you have an expensive keyboard, if cleaning it with cotton swabs and alcohol wipes or damp paper towels with some canned air doesn't do the job you may want to get a new cheap keyboard. PS I good way to get allot of crud out of a keyboard is to invert it on to its keys and gently but repeated drum on the back of your keyboard, then use canned air to get it out.

Also there is no evidence in the video she either knows or doesn't know what she is doing. Some world class video card overclockers use a dedicated dish washer to clean the crap they stick on the boards, and that is allot harder on a board than a sponge.
Pressing shift + clicking on the shutdown icon or disabling fast startup has the same effect as restarting it though your computer might take slightly longer to boot up

However, in the video, the cookies were also selected along with cache which would result in the logging out. So, yeah make sure to uncheck it before clearing so you don't get logged out of everything.

Actually you need a soft mop and then dry board very well before plug it. I clean dust of ram/vram chips to make it be cooler. But use soft mop or cotton cloth, don't put soap directly on board.

Dirty/dusty computer: The picture of a dust-caked PC brought back memories. In my previous life in manufacturing, I installed several PC's on the production floor. Periodically, I'd get a call that one was acting up. I usually found that the control cabinet had been left open and that the motherboard components were buried under an inch or more of fine powdered wood pulp. A quick blow-out with compressed air always resurrected them....thankfully!

Great video. I just stopped Steam from starting all the time. I heard to clear temporary RAM /memory completely you need to turn off your computer and wait 1 minute? Was that true years ago and not now. Anyone can answer if they know for sure as well. I know you have to clear RAM especially when playing memory intensive ( savegame ) games like Civilization 6 and I usually restart the computer and it works faster. Do SSDs need de-fragging and does it damage them. I have heard there is a trim program and Windows 10 knows whether to run it instead of defrag. Is that true as I don't want to damage my SSD. My Norton defrags once in awhile and I don't want it damaging my SSD. Does it just turn Windows de-frag on and Windows know which drive to de-frag or trim as I have both. Quick fix, install Linux and change your Dns to either Adguard, Opendns or cloud flare. This gives faster internet speed and privacy from your internet provider. They can't see your log activity but your IP address is still visible. Either way they can't see what you do online if you change the dns.
@@100Bucks ISP can see in fact what server you are reaching, dns servers just give you an ip by domain name, the only thing you can do is to use vpn, but in this case vpn provider can see which server you are visiting, and even if you use tor, exit node can see which server you are reaching. And any dns request can be eavesdropped, thats why DNS over HTTPS (DoH) was created.
On disk clean-up, there is "clean system files". That will clean loads more crap (can be order of gigabytes) There is the administrator shield against it but I've never had problems with it
Ok, I'm gonna need to know how does shutting down not flush your ram? RAM is volatile memory, meaning that when you power down, the RAM loses its contents. When you turn your computer back on, you're starting with nothing in RAM.
Restarting is intrusive, abusive, and inconsiderate of my time. Software vendors and Microsoft should debug and fix their software. I'm not going to pay their technical debt, so I've solved the problem by not using Windows (at least not unless I MUST use Windows...) Seeing how it's Windows, shutting it when I'm done is probably the safest thing anyway, so I'm still paying their tech debt.

Also you can clean a computer with a very specific liquid in a very specific situation, turn it off and unplug it and in the case of a laptop unplug and remove the battery the use a cotton swabs or cloth with 71 or 91% isopropyl alcohol.
Shutdown does NOT clear the ram. What is in the ram (corruptions as well) is saved to the hard drive and reloaded from this ram image. Restart loads from scratch

I've worked on computers having more than one antivirus program installed and running. This will bring a PC to it's knees. 😉
Back in the day I used avast antivirus at lot but now I just use Windows defender, no need for additional antivirus nowadays.

core i3 laptops are slow anyway....core i5 is must for daily uses and i7 is for gamers and content creators
i disabled fast start up which makes the shutdown a proper shutdown, removing the need for a restart every couple days

Another common problem is upgrading Windows without upgrading RAM. Windows 10 really doesn't run well with less that 8G or RAM.

Sometimes updating Windows won't make your computer faster. It bloats memory usage although making your computer more secure with patches.
