What are your favorite programs that you have installed on your PC? Here's the link to our video of programs that should NEVER be installed: ruclips.net/video/RzzoQdWur3s/видео.html Thanks for watching :)
I have the 2020 adobe photoshop and premiere pro free, from torrents. No way I'm paying those fools for products i've paid for in the past, just for them to say oh now it is a subscription. LOL sheeeet nah
I’m retired so I no longer need a coding tool. What I do need is a Browser Backup Office suite PDF viewer Financial tracking Windows/Linux file cleaner (clean up temp files, etc) I don’t want to use the cloud for any of my personal data. I don’t edit photos/videos so I don’t need any of that stuff. What ya got for me?
Browser depends on your preference: Edge (if you don't want to install 3rd party), Brave(privacy), as mentioned Vivaldi (feature rich). For pdf viewer: Sumatra pdf (open source, lightweight) , Foxpdf reader (feature rich & mostly free) Office suitv Libre office is the best for me :) And bonus Text editor: Notepad++ (open source, fast, notepad on serious steroids)
As a loathe Adobe, I used Corel's Paintshop Pro for years. Sadly, whoever bought Corel is just sitting on the products and not updating them much. I started using Affinity nearly two years ago and have been pleased as punch over how much more I can do with the product. They occasionally have sales, so you can pick it up for a very good price.
under linux, i tryed shotcut. i then tryed and kept kden live. kden live has much faster responce when stepping through frame at a time. i have minimum editing needs.i run kdenlive from an .image file
With all the software going to monthly subscription to be able to get your dollars forever, I am turning to piracy and freeware only. I already bought an eye patch for a one time fee.
I'mDaVinci resolve is incredible. One of the modules in it is a very simple way to edit video. It can be used in conjunction with the other modules which will compete with Hollywood. The free version is almost a complete version. Most of the fersions you don't get you would never use anyway. The full version gives you more access to some really advanced features. The full paid version is $200 with lifetime free updates. By the way, the color grading module has been used by Hollywood for years. It's been considered the gold standard.
For average use Microsoft Office is completely unnecessary. If you want to minimize the Microsoft intrusions on your system, then Open Office, or Libre Office is the way to go.
I beg to differ with you on the monthly pricing of Adobe Photoshop. The monthly pricing of their photography plan starts NOT at $23 US, but $10 US. It includes the following: Adobe Photoshop on desktop, iPad, and web Adobe Photoshop Lightroom on desktop, mobile, and web Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Classic Adobe Firefly Adobe Portfolio Adobe Bridge 20 GB cloud storage For $10 US more, the cloud storage is increased to 1 TB. Updates are released on a pretty regular basis. The $10 per month plan works perfectly well for me, and has for a number of years.
I use Brave and have ublock origin so that there are few to no ads that pop up when using brave. I uninstalled Office 365 when I got the PC I prefer Libre office for any office stuff I want to do as a secretary of a local club. VLC is my preferred media player.
when it comes to a browser what's wrong with opera. as for video editing i looked at devinci resolve and shotcut but decided avidemux is enough for clipping, joining and converting that i ever need to do.

For Browsers, I don't use Chrome and I only use Edge to download Brave! 😅
Yes Brave browser is the best 👍

Enjoy the viruses that come with the torrent versions.

I could not work without Snagit. Great list! Thank you!
Snagit is awesome for sure, I also love Greenshot
I WAITED FOR ARC AND FINALLY IT'S AVAILABLE FOR WINDOWS......... (FHIS IS THE BEST)
Firefox could and should be doing a lot more about the "fingerprinting" happening on sites.

God bless you. I love you.
Brett In Tech! Thanks for posting this video.
Chrome and Edge should be on the "never" list. Great features, to be sure, but we pay too much by giving away our privacy.

Another excellent video that I will be sending off to friends & family. Thanks Brett! 👍👍
Your channel is my favourite tech review channel because it offers no non-sense recommendations. Subscribed.
Wow!!... :) *I use Win10.
Please do one on webcam software (background blur etc)
I would argue that Microsoft 365 isn't the best office suite but rather the most ubiquitous.
What do you suggest for making bar graphs, pie charts, etc.? Thank you!
I honestly am fine with people pirating ridiculously priced software like some on this list.
Another winner !!!
👍
Thank you for the shout-out, @Camtasia and @Snagit!

I would never use Chrome or Edge. Firefox or vivaldi is my choice :)

what is best free antivirus program
Windows built in(defender)
bitdefender?
In most cases Windows Defender (Built in) as @bman2030 pointed out is sufficient.

Correct. Opera is highly underrated. It is an exceptional browser.
Which RUclips Downloader can I use? What works the best?
Putting pp after youtube in the URL and using a VPN if you live in the states.
surprised you're recommending adobe products given their T.O.S nonsense.
I have installed vlc, but I much prefer smplayer.
vivaldi get annoying when it ask you to update the browser
Irfanview
Chrome has best Compatibility of all the Browsers.
You told there are better alternatives for shotcut in you previous videos, shotcut lacks some feature ,these are you words, so reconsider it
It's for beginners and with low system specs
Was DaVinci Resolve not mentioned 🤔
I dumped Libre for Free office. Amazing how it is just like MS Office.
1st! - Sorry just couldn't resist :)
