I ordered a few months ago. Boxes are just now coming in. Not getting something like a z axis controller terrifies me. But they do seem to be great people to work with.
How long did it take for you to get it after you ordered it? Their website is saying in stock, but shipping in 5 to 6 weeks.
I ordered my crossfire pro on 6/4/2020 and got the last box on 9/19/2020.
Every detail you mention is the reason I passed on Langmuir I used one a co worker bought and he even said he wished he had spent more money
Thank you buddy .im a tool and die ,machinist, welder, fabricator,.and I finally talked my company into buying one and needed to know some stuff.do you like sheet cam?? And is fusion 360 ok I use mastercam?? Will it post to mastercam??
Mine is set up , but Why can’t I cut sheet metal but I cut 1/4 metal fine, is it galvanized?
Good video I am thinking about getting one myself for a hobby/ small business.
Really appreciate your detailed video. I’m looking to get one for my small business. Look forward to seeing your future videos on the Crossfire Pro. Also subscribed to your channel.
Also the shape of the plasma “flame” is kinda like an upside down tear drop. You can adjust your torch height to find the sweet spot that can help reduce the angle on the side of the part. You may need to compensate your kerf for the changes. I program large Messer and ESAB plasma tables where I work.
Oh! And in most instances these will cut your outside profile in a clockwise direction(kerf offset right) and your inside profiles(like holes) counter-clockwise(kerf offset left). So unless the control has individual settings for each, adjusting to make the outside profile bigger will make the inside profile smaller. And vise versa.
HI, great video, I received mine a few weeks ago and I'm in the same learning curve. I agree on the need for a basic starting point chart, maybe we should start one on the Langmuir forum or something? I have some data I could submit. What do you think?
there is one on the forum made by an individual. That's the best I've come up with. I was just really hoping to get one from Langmuire, or Razor weld. maybe someday they will release one. :)
Great video!! Thank you for sharing.
How do I know if my garage is equipped with the power I need to run the table, the plasma and the air compressor?
You need 50amp 220 volt outlet. I would get a big compressor as well as a way to clean and dry the air.
I have been looking into this as well as a "Hobby" but I was wondering how your computer handles the software and wanted to know if I need a relatively high end computer to run the program. I looks like you have a pretty high end one but I cannot find the specks online about the requirements for the pc. Thanks
This is a "Asus Tuf Gaming" laptop. It has a Ryzan 7 and M.2 hard drive. It's pretty fast but I do all my video editing as well as 3D design on it. It only cost me $1,300 is so it's not crazy expensive. You can pay 4k for a laptop if you really want to. This works great for the table but wouldn't have to be this fast.
Do you happen to know which THC they used, I want to buy one but not sure which one to get.
It's their own THC. Well it's a Langmuir injection molded box. Not sure if their is an off the shelf unit inside it.
Just got mine together today but I'm still waiting on the plasma cutter so I cant run it yet but I think They don't give you a starting feeds and speeds chart because they don't want you to know how slow you have to make your cuts before you buy it.
You know what you're probably right
Now, I'm just referring to the thicker than 1/4" stuff. I'm sure you can zip thru 18ga.
@@chainsaw2701 not near as fast as you can with a hypertherm 45xp
👍😎👍...... you earned a subscription - Thank you for sharing!
Thanks for the sub!
Thinking of buying 1 what plasma u suggest to get 🤔
Well I have the one that LS offers with it (Razorweld Razorcut 45) It's ok but not the greatest. I really want to get the Hypertherm 45xp with machine torch.
can you put anti-seize lubricant on those threaded rods to prevent rusting?
I have not had any rusting but I lubricated mine with grease.
Just ordered mine. have you noticed how much memory storage you may need on a laptop to generate and run programs?
I have not. I just purchased a new laptop, and it worked great. I will have to look into this. I did end up buying a pretty hot laptop, because I also wanted to use it for video editing...
Beck's Armory thank you - I have a “built for editing pc” in my office - would like to do my programming there and the just a budget friendly laptop to have out in the shop to run programs
You're right about customer service, even sales don't even respond to inquiry! I'm kind of concern buying from them.
They were super responsive, and accommodating for me. But they knew I had a RUclips channel and that may have contributed to that.
how is the smell (with water table) in a closed garage for guys just playing at home? does it put off a lot of fumes?
yeah it's pretty bad. It doesn't really stink but there is a lot of smoke. most of the time I open the overhead door. I'm working on a air filter system soon.
@@BecksArmory thanks....ya you def dont want to breath that stuff. take care of your lungs .
what are your thoughts thus far on this setup, are you happy?
It's bitter sweet... I'm shipping a box of 100 parts so I'm making money already so that amazing, but I wish it came with the Hypertherm Powermax 45xp and not this Razerweld 45. This will be my first upgrade. Also don't bother trying to dial this thing in until you have dry clean air. You'll just burn up the consumables and torch. :(
@@BecksArmory thanks for the speedy reply, great video, thanks for the initial review also.
I see a couple gas cans in the background I’d be careful with all those sparks flying around if you’re in San Diego I’ll give you a free fire extinguisher for a demo anyways good info hope you keep sharing as you find out more on cut rates and speeds and other settings thanks again
I’ve been looking at these for awhile, I’m not sure if I can wait 3-4 months for one. The only down side I see
yeah it's a long wait. If you buy it without the plasma cutter in th 3-4 months that you wait you can save up and get a Hypertherm 45xp to go with it. I think you save 900.00 by not getting the Razorcut 45
@@BecksArmory I actually have a hypertherm 45. Non xp. Hope it’s a big enough plasma. I’m gonna wait until after the holidays and bite the bullet
@@welderteach Nice
Did you ever have the issue where your plasma would cut in and out during a tool path? I'm having this issue along with a bunch of others and langmuir is not responding to emails
yes. All the time. I fixed most of these issues. Dry clean air, clean and lube torch plunger.
Hey man.
Stupid question but does the plasma table and plasma cutter run off your home electric plugins?
The plasma cutter runs off a 220v single phase outlet. (Standard 220v welder plug) The table (controller) run off a standard 110v outlet. I think if you get a 30amp plasma cutter it can run of a 110v outlet. You would need to make sure the wall outlet is wired for 30amps and you have a 30 amp breaker.
No questions is stupid unless you don't ask it. :)
can you do a video of how you use the program
someday. it's on the list of things to do.
How much did it cost and did you get the cuter and laptop with or does that stuff got to be bought by itself
Cutter came with it I purchased the laptop. With Table, laptop, Compressor and air treatment set up I'm about 6k into this.
@@BecksArmory what kind of laptop ,I'm thinking bout buying this system ,I have compressor just need everything else
@@mikemuniak4711 I got an ASUS TUF Gaming laptop. It used to require a hot laptop. They have since upgraded their software to the point it no longer needs to be crazy fast. I think they put new specs on the Langmuir website. Mine are outdated.
@@mikemuniak4711 here is a video of my air setup. ruclips.net/video/41qdZI5doLQ/видео.html
How has the razor weld been doing. Do you think it's a quality tool thanks in advance
It's ok. It will get you started and help you make enough money to buy a Hypertherm Powermax 45xp. The new FireControl software has really made the RW much more useable. It let's you start mid program, even mid loop. So when the RW glitches out you can pick up from were it messed up.
@@BecksArmory thank you so much for your response. Do you know or have any experience with the prime weld cut 60 plasma cutter? And once again thanks in advance. I'm trying to decide between the razor weld or the prime weld to go with the crossfire pro
@@tenehaglendening9246 I do not have any experience with the prime weld machine.
Hey I just got one and for some reason my thc isn’t showing up as available in fire control any help would be appreciated greatly
That's one of the only things that I've never had happen to me. I do remembering having to open up the control cabinet and install some thing on the THC board. Did you skip that step?
I think they shipped it in pieces to save on warehouse space and to stay ahead of orders. Pallets would've been expensive to ship so many home orders. You design machines, I ship products, lol. I dont know why they did it, but those would be my guesses, and what I would do if I managed their supply chain.
Nice video which I like to see somebody on one of these videos talk about prices though seems to be the big secret
The only reason I didn't mention the prices because it's listed on the website and prices typically change and this video will be incorrect once they change the price. If you buy the full package you're looking about $4,000. You also need a way to dry and clean the air as well as a decent size air compressor and a good laptop. If you don't have any of those things you'll probably spend another $2,000 obtaining them. These prices are January 2021 in case anybody sees this comment in the future.
I just got my L/S table love it not used it let. Still putting together. I am handicap man takes me time and need help.
Yes it does help to have an extra pair of hands. Hope you get to play with it soon.
@@BecksArmory thanks nice video little new here but in love . Lol coooool shop .wish I had that room man . Nice helpers they will take over soon 👍
Kids are great 👍 and funny at that age enjoy while they are still young.
🇺🇸 God Bless
@@theodorebowers9737 Thanks! I've loving the machine. I've very blessed to have the shop. I love that my kids like to hang with me in the shop. I'm gonna enjoy it while it last. :)
I am still waiting for my table placed order in August...
Thank you for the awesome content! New subscriber here. Kind of a stupid question but how close is the actually cutting surface in comparison to the machine specs? Thanks in advance!
The maximum clearance underneath the z-axis is 2 and 1/2 in. I'm not 100% sure if that's what you're asking or not but I hope it is. Thanks for watching and supporting the channel.
Sheet cam was there answer to your speed and feed lol
Everything was labelled, excepted for half of the packs that rubbed off during shipping lol. That was a nightmare for me, even worse because i don't understand imperial bolt sizes
o wow that's a real bummer!
Aromatherapy - Pewberry 🤠
What’s the coupon code for this?
I don't have one I am not a Langmuir affiliate. The only thing they gave me was a $200 discount. That allows me to say whatever I want about the table because I have no incentive to help them generate future sales. Overall this is a big bang for your buck.
If you are a RUclips Creator hit up their sales department. You might be able to talk them into a small discount as well.
Share your final settings? I will tell you I dont know the password. Thanks!
I think I would move the gas cans sitting next to the wall!
Why are you yelling at me? I don’t know what I did but I’m sorry!!
When you said everything is labeled the first thing I though was a little sticker on EVERY SINGLE screw, nut, and washer lol
Pierce
Watch out for those gas cans near your overhead door.....
Complains about feeds and speeds and narrows it down and then leaves everyone to guess for themselves.🙄
Why is someone who knows nothing of plasma cutting reviewing a plasma table .......useless
I'm a professional machine designer with 10 years of cnc experience. Most of what I know is relevant.
@@BecksArmory well I guess since your a design and not a human I guess it's ok
@@BecksArmory I know there's relevance in your review for people new to cnc plasma . Your reviews just dont do anything for me . Wish you well cheers
Holy hell Mike. I figured you were going to be the lord god of all plasma table knowledge with your brutal criticisms here. So I rushed right over to your channel anxiously awaiting to gain from your infinite knowledge. All I found was a couple of videos on video games. It’s almost like you’re hiding the good stuff. Or a you just another douche bag with nothing but a useless opinion? Cmon man, where you hiding that good stuff?
