- Nintendo Power Magazine ceased publication in 2012 and in this video I take a look back at some of my favorite things about the magazine when I was a kid. Every Nintendo Power cover (except variations) is shown during the latter half of the video.
One true Nintendo Collector! This is awesome!
Wish I held on to my Nintendo Power Atlas. I think it came free with subscription and had full maps and walkthroughs of some of the most popular games. For whatever reason it was missing Metroid.
These magazines are still extremely compelling. I have a blast looking at them online. So many memories.
When sports, movies, and entertainment went all political I lost interest in all of it. I hate politics!
Retro gaming became even more of an interest. I wanted to go back in time when the world was actually sane and people didn't wear face diapers and call everyone horrible things that are not true if they disagree with them.
Opening up an issue of Nintendo Power is a great experience. I was just recently going through to find all the old issues I had on-line.
I have over 100 NES games now so it's good to have some of these on hand to look at while playing. It's like they are more valuable now than ever.
I will miss coming home from school and seeing a new issue in my mailbox. Good times.
sorry about all the re-uploads... i always notice the errors and small improvements i'd like to make to my videos AFTER i upload them.
if you've already watched the video, it's not worth your time to watch it again (unless you like re-watching 20 minute videos). you probably won't notice the changes i made.

ebay is a good place to find back issues. why did your subscription end?

the zelda music around the 12 minute mark got me man
scans of some issues didn't have my parents' address blocked out (not that it really matters anymore). i also added a zoom on the scan of the last issue to add a little more of a dramatic effect.

I was so angry when my subscription cut out for the final 5 issues..... How do you suggest finding them. And where should i look for the older ones? I have the final Issue, I just want the subscriber edition that I payed for.... :(

i always threw away those little cards you got with your super nintendo and game boy games. wish id read them.
oh well. im a collector. id LOVE to get a full nintendo power collection some day and just read through them all like i was a little kid again...
I have no idea why.... it said Ended August 2012, even though i resubscribed. I managed to order all of the subscriber ones I was missing since august, except for the september 2012 Nintendo Power V282. I cant find that one any where. The final issue i got was actually a store one, i special ordered a subscriber one, if it endes up a store one i dont really care the i will have 2! I found out you can get the recent ones on the companies website for really cheap!
