i guess the two main things are
1) a group of friends
2) a good starter budget
that set up ain't cheap, and without people to play you got no one to make content with

Have you considered implementing ceiling mounted rig for cameras & lighting cords? Less tripping hazard. Miniac has similar setup (I think so).

Oh, and I *know* how hard it is to store 4 peoples armies, actually got enough for at least 4 dedicated players and 3 or 4 starter players. Yes i have a problem and no, i wont fix it.

painted, not so much.
only my main two are painted, the rest are in stages, bunch of like small starter armies worth here and there of painted stuff, not very good at it and struggle to keep motivated to go on with it.
@@KingTigerGuy a painted army is still better than a grey one! Keep at it and you'll always get better over time :)
I never expected to be able to paint minis, but I spent like 2 weeks watching hours upon hours of video tutorials and stuff and kinda just absorbed how to do it via osmosis. If you haven't already I'd definitely recommend checking out a few tutorials here on RUclips.
@@Jormyyy Yea, i make it a set goal to have them all primed bare minimum, not just sitting there grey, other paints can be a bit of an issue to get.
been doing that a bit, but i had a lot of in person help till the lockdowns, just need to get the motivation and mind set to paint again.
@@KingTigerGuy best thing to teach yourself is to do at least one hobby thing a day. Even if it something small like cutting a single piece off a sprue, or painting one piece of silver model on a model. Eventually they will get done.
Hey Matt and all at Dice Check, I know Magic is on the horizon for content. Did you guys hear in the last few months that Wizards of the Coast announced a 40K crossover with Magic? I want to hear any of your guys concerns or hopes for the crossover.
My theory, since the product is going to be a set or commander decks, the decks will probably be 2 or 3 colors and probably will just be the main factions: tyranids, imperium, orks, tau, and chaos.
We've talked about it a lot, as of right now we don't know what they're going to do but are excited. Only drawback is that it doesn't launch until I believe next year.
Honestly, I think Chaos would be an amazing fit for Magic
@@DiceCheck I concur Chaos fits well with so many color of magic but so do so many factions. Pretty excited to see what they do.
@@DiceCheck I am all aboard the chaos in Magic idea. It's just hard to tell where the product will land. Especially since I am pretty sure it is 40k proper and not Age of Sigmar.
I'm a 40k secondary, really. I love the 40k content and lore, but don't really have the patience or skill to dedicate myself to painting miniatures. So, being able to at least blend MTG and 40K has me excited. Even though I am currently running 2 decks, black and blue, green and blue.

You can purchase a ping pog table to make things easier for yourself instead of building a table from scratch! There are a bunch dimensioned for warhammer tables and are easy to move around
@@DiceCheck I know is just that I'm planning on making a gameroom just for dnd, boardgames and such and whenever I see your table I always think that It is just the right size for me!

Hey Matt, I'm looking to recording battle reports for local groups and such. Is there an affordable camera off Amazon I could start with?
A simple handheld camcorder will do you wonders. I'd recommend something like the Sony CX400 series to try out.
You can also use a website like Sharegrid to rent out cameras in your local area to try different setups out before you make a purchase.

some info on the patreon only battle reports plx. will they be streamed first? and if they are can only subscribers watch it? what about the unwashed masses will we be completely unable to watch them months after they were released?
We are currently working on a website to host all of our Patron content on for ease of access. The episodes might come onto the channel later, but we don't want to bog down the channel with multiple battle reports or risk spamming people with too many videos when we're also working on Magic: The Gathering content, Hobby Talk, more 40k series and a plethora of other things.
1. It helps us monetarily
2. It makes it so then the youtube algorithm doesn't get mad at us
