We are discussing the new dataslate and points changes to the chaos space marines and world eaters.
I feel like Vashtorr should be battleshocking vehicles with his debuffs, scaring the machine spirits.
I second. Vashtorr was built in 9th but tuned for 10th and it shows hard. Just retooling his abilities to make him Shock enemies or even repair allies would be cool

Lord invocatus should be in every WE list, his stats are fine enough(the dev wounds feel nice), but the fact he is able to let two of your Berzerker bricks use Scout 6’ is essential for a WE army as a melee only army. It lets you deploy aggressively and if you get first turn you get an alpha strike off, and if you don’t get first turn you use the scout to get them out of line of sight behind obscuring
It does feel like the Alpha strike option is the WE's best chance and Lord Invo is key for that. It can be very swingy though.

8:14 I guess what you'd have to do is take 9 Chosen and pay for 10; then you'd be able to fit your 9 Chosen and the 3-model Dark Apostle unit in a transport. Pretty sure rules as written allow that, but correct me if I'm wrong.

As far as I know, yes, AoC stacks with cover. Had a bladeguard captain sitting in a ruin for 3 turns of Calladius shooting lmao

Have to take Lucius to get 6 units, which means you can't have Abaddon. BUT, I think you're correct and everyone is sleeping on Emperor's Children lists.

My go to combo for CSM is
10xChosen with x4 combi weapon/plasma pistol, 6x Boltgun/X2 powerfists
Undivided, with sorcerer and exalted champion with libre hereticus in a nurgle rhino
100pt Warptalons are so sexy. Don't think I can swing it but trying to fit 3x5 with MoS into my list. They're *fantastic* fast skirmishers and action monkeys now. Love the variety of units we can get away with using now.

Sadly, Daemon Prince on foot does not give cover to vehicles or monsters, only infantry.
Armor of Contempt and cover do stack, been abusing that since the start of 10th and it makes Land Raiders absurdly hard to kill
Instead of a dark apostle with chosen I’d recommend a master of executions because he gives those +1 to hit and wound and gets you cp. and he attaches in addition where you can attack Fabius bile to make your chosen T5 AND get a 5+ fnp
My chosen brick is with Huron and Moe. Huron gives some nice movement options and redeploy
I think all the marine troops that dropped in points where to keep them more viable with Abaddon, since it looks like GW seemed to adjust Abby away from a wall of terminators while Ge takes out a unit solo. It also probably is because the mortal wound nerf probably makes them more useful in larger numbers. But it's GW, so it could be anything, really.

God I miss having mortals on my Master of Executions..... man used to roll up with at most 9 attacks at 8, -2, 5 damage with devastating wounds. Like, man used to DELETE massive squads of infantry

As someone who can't stand Abbadon as a character I appreciate that CSM has more options making it possible that I don't see him.
World Eaters are definitely feast or famine depending on whether or not they go first AND roll well on their Blessings. You have to deploy as if you think you'll go first as well. And if you don't...well, you're dead.
Venomcrawler going down to 120 points is crazy!
For World Eaters the only things that didn’t get cheaper for us was the forge fiend(+20) and angron(no change). I have like almost another 200pts to play with
I only saved 45 points on my list 😢 But I got a brand new bag now and it includes Kharn baby!

If warp talons were in loyalist space marines I would run 30 in my white scars at least once. They look very nice for 100 per 5.
Chosen are really good, but they got a bit nerf in an earlier dataslate, now they can't keep their bolters AND take special weapons anymore
Honestly my experience with alpha strike world eaters is "Yes I have killed you entire frontline" and then by my next turn I have no army left xD
Agreed. Yeah, World Eaters can hit hard and are fast, but we're still glass cannons and sometimes our cannonballs bounce off things (vehicles and tanks)

Can confirm, Angry-Ron is a menace. Played a 1500pt game vs my buddies Chaos Knights(he only has 1500pts worth of knights atm), The Angry boy SLAPPED 2 rampager's and 2 doggo's, doing 56 wounds too one of the knights 😅🤣 The only thing "annoying" about him is trying to hit the triple 6's for his resurrection..... I'm at 1/5 game streak of him not coming back 😭😩

Off topic, but my money is on the T'au detachments being based upon their battle philosophies. We already know the names of 5 or 6 of them, so that's around the expected number, and the only detachment they have so far is named after one of those.

the reason the WE heldrake costs more is because it has a bombing run for its ability
You can't take 10 chosen plus apostel and his posse and put them all in a rhino. You can take 9 though! Yes you pay for a ghost chosen, but still. Pretty good.
Hot take: Invocatus is cringe and nothing but a gimmick. Why has nobody, even Auspex Tactics, mentioned that the Juggetlord dropped FIFTY points?? He's only 100, hits hard, and gives an EB unit reroll advance and charge. Easily worth imo.
