I'm going to play in a tournament this month. And I'm bringing a hierophant. If I'm gonna lose, I'm gonna do it in style
Good luck buggy boi

More of a Harridan man myself, BUT I BELIEVE IN YOU!

Godspeed
Matt seems to be way happier nowadays. This actually makes me really happy, i love to see that his mental health got better. Please keep this content up, you really seem to enjoy making it❤

Noob here that wants to get into tyranids
Any suggestions for an easy to play army that has hit and run tactics
As well as any tips for tyranids in general
@@garrettlich7140 I’m a bit of a noob myself, but maybe vanguard units like Lictors, Leapers, and Genestealers might make for a good skirmish army to get in your opponent’s face quickly. If I had to give any advice, I’d say that we’re in a weird position competitively, so don’t be too surprised if/when you lose. Also, Tyranids are probably the best faction to paint and build cause you can do pretty much anything with them and it’d be lore accurate.
Starting to think Matt might be a Genestealer.
In a few years time, he'll grow a carapace on his arms and back then continue putting insect-like sound effects in his vids xD
He does have a round scaly head...
His Pee pee is another arm
Genestealer cult
we can't see if he's wearing bricky or don p's jeans
Seeing the models in diffrent colors showed the diffrent paint styles which is nice.
The sound effects are cracking me up. xD

It's from the Ty the Tasmanian Tiger OST "Time attack 1"

Yeay, the visorian askethed for the sauce and he receivthed it. And there was much rejoicing.
I play tyranids to die.
Step 1: hide dominion Synapse hiding in the back
Step 2: have a tide of gaunt run and "touch everyone"
Step 3: DS Tervigons, Death Shiek Gauntss and pump them babies. Caustic Blood Suicide Bomber Gaunts
Step 4: Lictors appear with friends to sneak abhorrent pheromones as well as grisley feast rippers to forces attrition on every unit every turn(if you can) for shi*s and giggles.
Everything Burns Baby
Really interesting to see your passion for the mighty 'Nids. Would be awesome to see more of these types of vids, like Bricky could do a guard one etc
Just getting into the hobby. Tyranids seem like an awesome faction. Being a Hollow Knight and Zerg fan, the Tyranids are my favorite army. It’s cool that they don’t carry the same design language as the other armies.
I can testify, people never go after my ripper swarms and lictors. They just hide behind enemy lines winning me the game, while my enemy mauls the rest of my army.
He's just standing there...menacingly!
They sometimes forget that it’s an objective game or they just wanna have these epic armies clash together.
I dont need this video you already convinced me and now I have 3/4 of my tyranid army done and I didnt plan for this to be my 1st army but here we are
Him: not mentioning Tervigons as being goood
Me: looks nervously at my 12 Tervigons
12 Tervis, and still not enough Termas.
Nidzilla lists all the way
And I like listening to your talk about tyranids :D I'm still pretty new to tyranids, so everything helps to keep up with the blood angels I have to face
I don’t know what most of this means I just know I always wanted to cover the cool alien bugs in little gems like a Bedazzler went on a rampage and say they developed crystal growths on their carapaces from eating mineral-rich worlds.
Terrific video, Sir! I’m loving all of this “Tyranid Love”! All of the models on display look great, but I get weak in the knees seeing that Dimachaeron!
Didn't expect the DRG music but pleasantly surprised
instantly recognized it ^^
Nids being my first and favorite armor (Long Live the Hive Mind), very happy to have such an informative video to use them in the current Meta. Once I get my new models I will be ready to start devouring again!
Holy crap there is a photo of my barbed hierodule in this vid (the green coconut crab one)!!!! This made my whole week!!! Thanks guys!!!!
Hell yeah, the carapace and body look awesome.
Nice choice of colors.
I love this channel. Quality advice delivered in digestible format and S-Tier editing jokes.

I always love a stalward of their home army. I dont care if they are A teir or F teir if you ask me the best army to play i will insist orks. You have to rep your home team first. Maty be such a big creator and one of the biggest supporters of a mid teir army that is absolutly badass is such bread and butter feel good warhammer content
I know Age of Sigmar is definitely the less popular game without a doubt, but it would be awesome to see some videos or even AoS battle reports. Love the channel and the cast keep up the great work!
Probably the closest to Tyranids in AOS would be Skaven, so just send him a box of rats, too easy 😉

Spot on, man!
Hive guard. the best artillery in the entire game.
Props to the editor of this vid, good stuff, got me chuckling over here :D
"It's expensive to get this stuff in Australia".......rewind to spending 3000$ on toys bitch it's expensive here
Literally the reason I haven't started in the US
Just gotta look for that lucky bid on ebay, just saw a 2000pt army of space marines going for about $300. Paint was crappy but you can strip that off
Trust me it's worse here, but even I look upon New Zealanders with remorse.
i mean..... just play custodes
i'm very interested how your going to tackle death guard
6 dimachaerons
@@RicardoAlmeidatm is that even possible with 3 datasheets limit? it was introduced to nerf Tyranids specifically
I like the warriors when I play Jormungundr with the +1 save in cover. Equip with scything talon and deathspitter. You deap strike them with a Trygon prime with the relic gland and murderous size + a Tyranid prime for support. You get a funny squad of warriors with the save stats of a terminators. I also love to run nine squad of 3 warriors to extend the synapse line over all the board and use 2 CP to just stop the psychic phase of my opponent (well not stop, but they get scared alot by the mortal wound potential of them failling, easier with kronos). XD
I'm quite happy I chose to start my first force as Crimson Maw, I think its important to play with units you like and find cool, I think running 100 gaunts has so be one of the most boring ways to win.
I love how the Aussie’s list being tailored to combat a melta meta is essentially Nids evolving and adapting in their pursuit of biomass; perfectly fluffy 👌.
ive recently found out how fun nids are. ty matt :)
Cool army, Matt!
Where's the last video where you talk about Space Wolves? I've checked the channel and I can't find anything.
When are we getting to see Marks GSC?
oH Boy is it christmas 2
kudos to editor the DRG ambiance totaly fited talk about bugs i keept looking for my flamer....
Good shit fam
Please do a star ship troopers based match where you just have one big bug hq and the rest of the points are just termagonts or ripper swarms. Just for the spectacle of a wall of bugs running up the board. You could even make it a last stand game in a doughnut shape deployment so tyranids deploy around the outside of the map and some form of space marines on the inside like that scene in star ship troopers one when they first find the guy with his brain eaten 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Love the channel my dudes
As an Australian player; I am mildly annoyed by the reasoning of us having weird lists being "because it's expensive". Yes; a start collecting box is $150 dollarydoos. Yes, some of the really big centerpiece models like Knights and some of the Sigmar big behemoths can set you back a hefty $300 or so, and the less we say about Forge World markups for the Aussie dollar conversion, the better. But that's not the reason Australian lists are weird.
One of the man reasons why Australia has weird lists is because we're a very small playerbase vs. America or the UK. Because of that smaller player base, we have a rather unstable meta. At one GT this week, Imperial Guard placed second. At the other, pure CRAFTWORLDS came fourth. CRAFTWORLDS. One of the two worst factions in all of 40k, and it got a top-4 placing at a GT. You see your meta Dark Angels and Sisters of Battle and Harlequins and Chaos Daemon lists. You see some incredibly gross Custodes lists (triple Telemon Dreadnoughts anybody?) and yes, you see Tyranids, and sometimes even 'nids souped with GSC. And those place somewhat well still.
On top of that, Australia and New Zealand are among the few places globally to have had a lot of GTs since the start of 9th, since we're one of the few regions to dodge the heavy bullet that is COVID. So, Australian lists are more innovative with toys as we get our hands on them, because for the time being, we're the only region to be able to provide win/loss stats for actual tournament play for a lot of factions, and often there are little tech choices stumbled across in the Australian meta that get picked up elsewhere. Sure, the inverse is also true, but we have our playstyles and we work with them.
What's an Australia?
love the background music being from Deep Rock Galactic, lovely game with an even better soundtrack
Good reasonings
Would love to see a version of this for Tau.
Good video. Thanks for that. :)
8:24 i about spit up my drink LOL
I don't play nids currently, but I've always wanted to have an Aliens themed nid army. Not only because an all black with blue highlights army would be super easy to paint, but it would look pretty rad also lol
i play a lot against tyranids, just in a little scale but good to know your enemy ^^
as a necron player with some options i try a lot against this monsters
Why should you play tyranids? Simple.
Hungy
Wanting that tau tier list
Everyone likes a good bug hunt. Even bugs!
Ok what do we need to do to see you guys play this marvel crisis protocol up in your corner since months.
Could one of you guys do a video like this or a tier video or something for Custodians? I play the golden bois and I cannot find anywhere when or if we are getting a new codex but with the way that 9th marines are shaping up and with the entire Custodians line doing D3 I really fuckin hope so because D3 more often than not is just 1 and getting out shot by regular Marines feels bad.
It blows my mind how I watched my 1st magikarp video in years (not a lol guy) and that 1st episode of journey into 40k (also bricky's intro vid) resulted in me having 2k points of painted imperial guard not a year later.
NEW TYRANID CODEX JUST ANNOUNCED LETS GOOOO
I'm a new to 40k and tyranids are my first army. I just built a winged hive tyrant but the wings take up a weapon slot, and I have to take two weapon choices, or so I heard online. Its hard to tell when all the forums and whatnot are at least 2 years old lol
I love this! Can someone on dice check do this on admech?
10/10 video
It's really weird that Tyranids have to capture objectives. It makes no sense thematically. The objective should be "eat every enemy, then eat the buildings"
I would have liked to have seen at least some discussion on allies. You call out tyranids as being very skewed one way or another, but can you cover the need for all-rounders by souping in GSC and/or Brood Brothers? Is it ever worth it to soup? What GSC units, if any, stand out as complementary support to nids?
There's typically no reason to soup except for fluff, Tyranids already have units that do what you would want from a GSC detachment. The only lists I've seen soup the two together successfully are ones that are GSC armies and bring a Kronos Patrol for Exocrines and Hive guard.
@@Fizzlenuke sure, but I would like to see their opinions on this kinda stuff in the videos like this if/when they do more in this format.
Hope you all cover deathwatch someday
As an australian, i love you
You know what matt just for you my friend offered me some nids at a good deal imma try them
What was the space wolves video he mentioned at the beginning
does anyone know if any of them will ever do grey knights they were a faction I was looking into and I think it would be very interesting if someone did them because they have a weird way that they play
Ayeee I love how expensive shit is in Australia, I love that I have to pay extra to get literally anything
For the Swarm!!
In the online GTs they are doing very well actually, even winning some.
Yeah, there's a lot of hobby lag when it comes to Nids atm. It was very hard to find Dima's available online for purchase let alone paint them
I intensely miss the tyranid glory days of 3rd edition. build your own gaunt rules and lictors that hide in terrain instead of deep striking ftw.
Don’t forget about the ymgarl gene stealers that were just deleted
I have no idea what the fuck Matt's saying more than half the time.
I'm just here because I like hearing him talk about things.
8:11 I had to double-take so hard on that Pyrovore. BECAUSE I PAINTED IT.
I cant believe dobbly isnt on the table
Are venomthropes or neurothrope better?
What is the soundtrack in the background???
Hey Matt, you smell... Good 😉 love y'alls show, keep up the good work
Very sad that they can't deal with certain armies, lore wise they are by far the most versatile race in the galaxy. They should be the most versatile on tabletop, than again they don't have 13 space marine chapters so you know...
Any advice for get models cheep?
matt: my units are so bad you don't want to shoot them
me: ah ah kastellan robots go brrrrrrrrrrrrr
I was like cool aliens, but then. you have to do this micromanagement as Tyranids to even play the game. while space marines smash you without even planning ahead. So my brain concluded orc instead. roll a billion dice and hope to win. :D
I'm watching this video while anxiously watching Tyranid lists on ebay hoping no one outbids me.
I 100% agree that playing Tyranids will make you a better all around player, and makes transitioning to a top notch army very easy. You will have to out think, out move, and squeeze every ounce of damage you can out of Tyranids.
I will point out, in 500 pointers, Tyranids are king. Hivefleet Leviathan, Neurothrope with res bar and lynpin, 10 termas with devourers, 2 squads of 11 genestealers. The only army that can compete with that is Guard and Orks for objective cappin. Neuro for vehicle killing, genes for melee, termas for holding a tight obj
I use to play tyranids. I played them from 08 to 17. I lost the love with them once they did not have the big units anymore. Back when the T-fex was huge it felt special. Now with all the large units of other army's I feel like it lost it's special thing. I really wish they kept up on the size and feel. I use to have 12k of them now just some custom made things and the large thing from forge world. H something
Also as you said I have lost 90% of my army and still one by point control. Felt dirty but in a good way lol.
Play Nids? Why not I always dreamed of being Godzilla. Nom Omnomz!
But to be real I enjoy the xeno's races better like Eldar and Tau. Thought about doing orcs, but lootaz kept knicking all my gibblens
Wow this guy seems really cool, he should run a RUclips channel
Looks like the audio is desynced in the beginning
I'm here with my Thousond Sons. I know it very well how it feels like being a lower level army.(Altough much cheaper)
dude i would play so many armies if it wouldnt take 2-3 month's of fucking rent to get an army together
Didn’t expect to hear the deeprock galactic ost here
Nid player to nid player, how the hell do you stop your flyrants from wobbling? Mine is too top heavy and shakes at the slightest touch!
You answered this already: change the "top heavy" part.
Mine have a bit of greenstuff, magnets and fishing lead under the base (helps small hormies too).
I used to watch this guys League of Legends videos. Small world.
Trygon or mawloc?
Because they are atttactive
Tyranids recently won a GT though
why do people keep saying that Raveners can deepstrike in with other units? I can't find anything saying that they do that anywhere
Every single game with comrade who never play with Tyranids:
Imperial guardsmen(Necron/Mech): Hmm I leave warlord in this preaty ruin in deepnes of my deployment, how you plan to kill him on 1st turn?
Krakens Swarmlord looking for Broodlord: ...**total moove with advance 40'', smite, charge, 2+/3+ full rerol to wound, recover CP, run in los block in 20"**...
Imperial guardsmen(Necron/Mech): What for the Mother of Gog it was???
Krakens Swarm(furer)master: I earn 13 points...
But they don't have the 9th edition codex, it's all gona change in...... a year¿?
The meta changes so much you should never care about which army to play based on Army strength.
Until the new codex, bring a heavy shooting list.
Do this for Harlequins please
Dimachaerons are like:
Why have hive tyrants when you can have a bigger badder hive tyrant
They don’t play how they SHOULD fluff wise
Hopefully the new codex is set up for 9th
Bugs aren’t made for keep and hold it objective type play
