Yes, I would really prefer that big bugs actually hit like big bugs, right now nids are not a fun list to run if you're playing to win, because you have no way to really handle tanks/monsters
Yep, with models for my husband, myself and our son...we spend lots of our Australian dollars. My dad has saved us a little money on occasion when he visits his sisters in the UK, and gets us a model or 2 while he is there.
Cheers for including Aussie prices. My favourite hobby shop has all warhammer sets at least 20% cheaper than GW, and they seem to have more stuff in stock that Aussie GW too.
I just got into nids with the leviathan box and I already own 7,000 points and ive only spend about 600 canadian. It is insanely easy to convert and kitbash nids imo.
If you go with Carnifex, must build one as Old One-Eye. Would also figure out how to get a Tyrannofex best points/dollar. Exocrine is also awesome. Can magnetize both and have a Tervigon and Haruspex. Very fun list. Thanks for video.
Another tip for Nids (and Marines) in terms of secondary market is the likely partworks magazine that will come out for 10th edition - obviously depending on contents that is likely to have some MEGA value for some issues
well i just got over the 10.000 pts mark for my Nids :D don't know how much it have cost me as i have gotten it over many years, (since 4th edition) and i have gotten things second hand.
@@the_kieran_show yes it is :) just for the small ones i got 160 Termagants and 80 Hormagaunts. so i have been converting the new special weapons for the Termagants. BUT i also play SM, Necrons, DG, CSM, Imp Knights and almost done putting together a Sisters with Inquisitors army. and the random Daemon and Chaos Knight to ally. and for AoS i got Seraphons, Gloomspite gits (Squigs) and Bonereapers.
As someone from the EU I can see the Austrailian market having a sassy fit about prices. Keep in mind though, in part it is explainable. 1. Australian $$ IS NOT USA $$ (ain't even close m8) 2. Shippin' GW-stuff to leteraly the othe side of the globe, thats gota cost more than a dime to the $$. 3. Australian overlords IMPORT TAX, because Ausies love their citizens to buy local, even though they do not have anithing like this. (Try buying an English car in Australia and calculate the tax on that...) 4. For so far away, this is not realy a big market. Compair this to from the UK to the EU or USA/Canada. So no special prizes waranted. At this time 19/01/2025 ... €1 = Aus$ 1.66 ==> That means you need to multiply by 1.66 to get the same stuf in Aus$. So to see the real mark up in price versus what we pay in the EU (Belgium for me, GW states we are not charged for import over here). Total price for 2k Tyranids from GW as calculated by our hosts ... € 590 you multiply this by 1.66 and boom Aus$ 979.4. Lets round that to ... Aus$ 980. Then deduct this from what you guys calculated as what Australians would localy fork out for this... 1187 - 980 = Aus$ 207. That would be shippin' taxin' you know, stuf that inflates prizes beyond reason, or feeds the Ego bank acount of your overlords.
@@the_kieran_show Then they are realy getting the underside of the no longer full barrel. DANG Now, back to killing my wallet ... DKoK is soon upon us... Emperor protect my wallet!
What do you think of this army? Is there anything you would change? Let us know!

Wow that’s a big Warhammer basket with 3 of you!

You're welcome! Aus certainly have the rough end of the stick when it comes to pricing, so long as you can get it cheaper that's all that matters 😁

That sounds like a sure fire way to enable some potential Tyranid players! Nice work! 🤘
Nice roundup love these kinda vids. Surprisingly cheap relatively and lots of unit variety. Admech is super rough rn nearly 1 to 1 points per USD.
Yeah ad mech is going to be a horrible one 😂

We'd say insane yet dedicated.. Which is fine right?
Tips and strategy for playing with this army?
Same as any army! Pick the models you love and have as much fun as possible 😁
MechWarrior 2. I'm not crying. YOU'RE CRYING! 😭😭😭

I order all my kits from Australia bc it’s cheaper than New Zealand :’)
Oh my. That’s insane. We really feel sorry for you 🥲
Deathleaper is 75 points
Nope, it’s 70 points :) (just double checked again)
@@the_kieran_show you are right. I was confusing it with von ryans leapers.
Doesn't cost a dime, because everything is out of stock so I can't buy anything.
Big Ooft

But alot less than it could!
