Great video! Straight to the point, and very accurate description of the repair to be done. Thanks! This video was a great help to me. Especially for helping me to remove a seized rotor that I had to replace. Keep up the good work!
Great video and description of the method I used a 1/2 x 1/8 x 7 inch plate between the bolts and the rotor, to avoid the bolts sliding behind the rotor and damaging the bolts thread Worked great Thanks for your Grat video
I think this is the best such videos Ive seen. All the key points, and fast. Ive done a lot of car breaks, yet I still learned something from this. June of 2021 and parts cost me 100% more ($210). Thanks to "inflation",. but at least they didnt raise "taxes" on the working class...
It looks like the bolts you used in the video to get the rusted rotor off are full thread. The Amazon link you posted leads to bolts that are partial thread.
How did you turn your rotors if you car was in park when you raised it? In other words, did you have your tired chocked, parking brake off, and your transmission shifted to neutral during this step?
You don't have to disengage the parking brake or any of the above. Once your car is on jack stands, you can put the key in the ignition. Don't start the car, but turn the key so the power is on and you can freely turn the steering wheel in either direction. Then just turn the power off and take the key back out.

Hi I tried the removing the rotor with the bolt method and the bolt snapped while in the caliber holder. And the rotor is still stuck
Sorry to hear that, not sure what to do. Might have to drill the bolt out and remove with a reverse thread.
Will 1/2 inch bolts fit through the caliper mounting bracket bolt holes to remove a seized rotor?
Not sure for certain but they’d be tighter than mine, recommend 3/8. Nut bolt and washer I used was ~$5 at hardware store. Best of luck!
Should use two bolts. I just broke one ear of the bracket.
Thanks. Perfect video.
Thanks for watching, hope it helped.
Thank you for screw idea to get stuck rotor off.
Thanks for watching, hope it helped!
Did anyone else have rotors seized so bad the caliper mounted tab cracked of when using a bolt to press it off? Yay.. road salt. Needed a new knuckle.
Tks
Whit you is very easy
