Thank you so much for the video , very easy to follow, I already made 3 bags for my sister a friend and myself. Just wondering if there is a way to make one just like this one but with a base.
Merci de m'avoir fait découvrir l'utilisation du double face en couture moi qui coud pas mal de simili c'est bien utile j'adore cette petite pochette avec son cordon je vais en faire plein j'attends la livraison de cordons de toutes les couleurs 🤟
Can you make this with a canvas fabric ? If so, do you suggest using an iron on interfacing on the back of the fabric ? I love the bag and easy instructions but want to use canvas or a heavier cotton fabric.
I love this tutorial video. I went straight to my sewing room and made 3 of them, then ran out of cording. What size did you use? I need to purchase more.
Hi Joyce! Any size you want really! This is very much personal preference, we probably wouldn't go too thin though. You can find cording on our website Here: sewing.net/collections/mary-jeanines-3-step-cross-body-bag?page=3
I am wondering whether or not you could do a french seam. The width of the bag might have to be a bit wider to allow for that. Its a seam where you bring the wrong sides together, sew an 1/8 of an inch down the sides, turn the bag and then sew maybe 3/8 of an inch or maybe a half an inch at the most down the sides. This will cover up the raw edges. Not sure if this will work for thicker fabric like the cork though.
Hi there! That quilt is made using the Block Talk Quilt Pattern available here: sewing.net/products/block-talk-sgd056 And Kaffe Fassett Fabric available here: sewing.net/collections/kaffe-fassett
You can do it. Bring the zipper slightly down like she mentioned and be sure to place the zipper like she said making sure that the top end is far enough away from the side edges. I am going to try and do a french seam on mine, that way the edges are nice.
I made one of these for a 17 day trip to France. It was probably the best item I took. Every day I was thankful for it. Thanks for the great tutorial

Hello from Alaska
How does the inside look? Would there be an easy way to add a lining?

I still have trouble with zippers….I just can’t seem to get it.

How did the French seam work??
