For shorter players, Arthur Ferry's service motion is definitely the most effective technique. He's actually pretty short compared to other players and he gets so much pop on that serve. Great athlete, first of all - a combination of incredible footwork, speed, and balance. He's also very calm. The one thing I'm most impressed with is his serve. I know he's played a few tour matches and I'm not sure his collegiate game will make an impact against the big boys on the tour, but definitely one of the best collegiate players out there.

Question: whether Arthur Fery keep looking back is a good habit in double play?

It usually tends to not be and shows weakness in his confidence to his teammate

It depends. It reduces your reaction time but makes sure that you always know your partners positioning so you can adjust accordingly

Even pros check their partner's moving or hitting direction by looking back.

Sure is. Caught half the line. I can see it clearly at 0.25x speed and paused at 4:07. Easy to understand why someone would call it out at full speed in the moment, though. That slice is deceptive to the eye.

@@jacksonwurzer9638 freeze the video right after the serve and press the 'period' keycap repeatedly. you can take the video frame by frame and see that the ball is on the line.
the people saying "oh my gosh that was way out. couple of inches" just shows that our human eyes are too shit.
