So Supergirl was killed because the movie mentioned that the Crystal metal was on the Kryptonian ships and it is what the ships are made of. It's the shards that are stabbing into Berry 2 and it is what Dark Flash's suit is made of. That is why the blade is able to pierce Supergirl's skin it is made of this material. Kryptonians can be hurt by alien technology like the World engine from Man of Steel or the Motherboxes. The machine they used to extract the codex can kill her because if the codex is extracted from her she dies.

It’s more a case of, is it done well within the story that’s being told???
Not wether it’s a “bad” thing in general
The Spiderverse movies are an example of appropriately utilizing fan service.
The Star Wars sequel trilogy is an example of it being done poorly.
We got the characters that everyone loves. But, we also got little to no character progression with the new characters we were supposed to follow through this new saga.
It’s seen as a “negative” because it’s now associated with bad movies and other media due to what’s been pushed out. It feels like they put in fan service at the detriment of the story they’re trying to tell. The studios KNOW that certain things are going to bring in more revenue. And more times than not, they interfere with the direction of already written stories. A lot of that is adding in more fan service so they can say that so and so is in this movie for a cameo.

ACTUALLLYYYY Ezra's Flash's first hearing of the Flash name is from Grant Gustin's Barry Allen, not Lex Luthor!

This was bad service. Good fan service would have been a faithful adaptation of Flashpoint Paradox.

I find it kinda funny that the whole multiverse concept has become such an overused trope in such a small period of time. The comics used the concept for decades and now its everywhere. And ironically its actually the comic book movies that are making it feel so cliche. Especially considering the flash which had one of the best multiverse arcs is the latest to the party

Harold Ramis Ghost scenes were perfect, the problem was making his character a dead beat dad. The cameos here didn’t bother me. Most of the cgi didn’t bother me for some reason. I think maybe because most of it is slo mo shit, so I bought into it. I think the director did great, and just got the shit end of the stick.

Apparently it’s movie bombed at the box office. So WB, was it such a good idea to scrap Batgirl? They seem to be really messing up these days.

YES, YES it was a good idea to scrap Batgirl....Yes, yes its hip and kewl to jerk it to Brendan Fraiser and pretend that everything he's made has been so amazing. But its not, Im sorry some people live in delusionland but he's made ALOT of crap and alot of the older movies haven't aged well.

I dont understand why both the Flash and Batman dont work together on the car Chase I mean the flash chasing down a car is a better use of his powers and a more exciting scene for the movie and they dont have to do that stupid scene with the babys the CGI babies looks so fake it was so bad

I loved the movie. I watched it 4 times with basis on the nostalgia for Michael Keaton alone.

I didn’t watch this until I finally saw the movie. I didn’t not like it as much as these guys (I’m tired of CGI movies and 2-hour+ comic movies in general), but I didn’t hate it, which is what I was expecting.

That time-travel explanation introduces a plothole into the Snyderverse though. The Flash technically already went back in time in Zack Snyder’s Justice League (which also ruins the scene in The Flash when he realizes that he can go back in time, cuz he should already know he can do that) because he reversed time when Steppenwolf killed everyone else. Sure, it was only seconds into past that he went back, but he did go back, and he changed the “past” in a massive way. If going back 10 years and changing something relatively small can cause massive changes more than 30 years in the past, then changing something already massive only seconds in the past would still cause changes that reached years into the past.
Even if Zack Snyder’s Justice League wasn’t canon to this universe, The Flash had already used time-travel to manipulate the past in Batman v Superman when Flash talked to Bruce through that… time portal. Obviously, this point is debatable because the Snyderverse is now basically cancelled and we’ll never get the movie that this scene was created to lead up to. Either way though, with that whole pasta explanation, then we also know that Bruce would have used The Flash’s advice and gotten Lois to prevent that apocalypse future, which by their own explanation, would have caused ripples of changes further in the past already.
I get that DC wanted to be cute and take a dig at the MCU’s version of time-travel, but DC look like idiots for introducing a big ol’ plothole into their movies at the same time.
