Whenever Corey wears a costume you know it’s going to be a good review! I love how Martin and the guys encourage him too, you can tell they’re the best of friends.
The reviews I can remember where Korey dressed up: It, Transformers: Rise Of The Beast, Suicide Squad, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and Prince's career.
To think this movie was first announced after the flash had it's first episode. This movie comes out a few weeks after the flash had it's final episode. Things are perfectly balanced
I really wish they clean up the special effects for a re-release later on, but this movie was so delayed that it's shocking that they hadn't cleaned up the special effects. It's also amazing that they decided to focus on faces and have those faces make expressions when they didn't need to for a lot of the shots... Some of it looked like CW Flash effects.
Other reviews said the director for the poor cg and lighting effects was suppose to be from flash’s perspective. The babies were terrible but at his rate of speed or something of that nature it’s what we got. As far as the multiverse heroes that was embarrassing
The scenes with Barry Allen and his mom was really the highlight for me for the film. And Ezra Miller playing off of himself, was great too. My issues the villains we’re not really interesting and the CGI it’s very bad. But it’s a solid film Not amazing.
The part at the end with Barry meeting his mother in the grocery store was so poetic because his mother was consoling him not as a son but as a stranger. It was hard not to tear up at that scene.
It would have been a nice full circle arc if Henry Superman got to take down Zod without killing him this time around. He could have flown around the world really fast to go into time travel😂
So Martin didn't really notice Henry Cavill's lip replacement in Justice League but thought Michael Shannon was fake in this movie...? Come on Cat Father!

This movie sets up that anyone who ever played a superhero can show up in the DC. As long as it's narrative fits in the story. Imagine: Teen Titans with the George Clooney Batman & Robin? The Flash was the audience asking, where did things go wrong? Could things go differently if someone else was in charge?
This conversation is very grounded compared to some of the crazies on twitter. The movie is not the best but its worth seeing to talk to friend and people about.
If Henry Cavil had been in this film, it would have become his movie… Superman just upstages everyone. Supergirl works really well, and her appearance is a key point in the story that just wouldn’t have worked if it had been Superman…
This movie is a matinee for me as well, heck I'm gonna go see it next $5 Tuesday, I really loved the buddy cop chemistry between Present Barry & Teenage Barry, the humor had me dying and I'm probably gonna keep watching it for that and the Batman scenes
It makes sense Bruce (Michael Keaton) had thought about time travel to where he could explain it to Barry...I am sure he thought about and researched what time travel would do if he could do it in order to save his parents. He realized that, even if he could do it, he knew it would screw everything up and it ain't worth it.
I often think back to the way the Flash tv show did flashpoint, the scene of Barry asking Thawne to kill his mom makes me chuckle a little every time 😅 "Gladly"
The ending made me laugh in a good way, i thought it was going to be the most recent integration of "that" character but i think Ezra will have better back and forth banter with who they picked to come back. If they do a sequel this story that is.
Cannot front, I understand the initial backlash on Paterson's Batman...that all changed when I saw Good Time. Whats crazy also, with the little screen time Affleck had, his scene as Wayne was believable way more than Batman Vs. Superman and Justice League. The source of great writing to convey the character.

The deceased actor's heirs decide whether a digital reproduction is disrespectful or not. Disney created a creepy Peter Cushing for Rogue One because his people agreed with the depiction. Same thing must apply here
Julian called this one of they best DC films? Nah this comes no where near Dark Knight, The Batman, and Man of Steel. Hell I'll even say The Suicide Squad excelled the action and comedic timing
I remember similar hype around bat v Superman - stories of executives giving a standing ovation etc. so I thought overselling this one was not the best idea
I think this is on par with Justice League:The Snyder Cut with it's epicness. Ezra Miller does own it as the lead. Loved Sasha Calle as Supergirl. Affleck & Keaton, both as Batman and just fine with me. I liked the effects. Heard that the way they looked was on purpose, like it or not. Everybody's powers and abilities coming through in major doses. The nods, easter eggs to the comics (including Flashpoint) are so good. I saw this IMAX and got a kick out of it. Keaton actually was going to do 3 films. The Flash (2023), the recently unreleased Batgirl movie and.........Batman Beyond (yes, it was going to happen). Say what you want about the film. It was done, finished and it's here. The DCEU close to the end and we might as enjoy it while we can.
The effects on par with Son of the Mask and its baffling indeed. Overall awesome movie with unfortunate shit CGI. It being defended with the crew saying it was an artistic choice should all be bat slapped.
Listening to the audio version of both this and transformers I just KNEW I had to see the video version of these reviews. Needless to say, I haven't been disappointed yet of Koreys' costumes choices. Love you guys.
Keaton stole the movie. Just saw it today and man.....what can I say. Did anyone notice the cameo likeness of Nicolas Cage as Superman? Keaton still has it, hands down the best Batman ever!
@Ralph Beckman Oh, I definitely knew about NC and the Superman movie he never did because of those canned plans. It was just cool to see his cameo, even if it was cgi.
This is paralleling a lot of what I'm hearing from friends who do the reporting/reviews - that third act basically torpedoes the rest of the film but that Ezra does a strong job in carrying it. Personally, I can't see myself spending a dime to see it - that's just personal preference re: Ezra Miller being ridiculous (but I won't judge anyone who goes to see the film)
I notice a common theme in these super hero movies I watch is that they usually are pretty interesting in the first half and drop the ball in the third act. Black Adam and Black Widow are two that come to mind. It's like the producers are like "welp we have an extra 50 million left in the budget we got to make it the most cgi convuleted mess possible" lol. I'll give the Flash a chance I hope it won't be too disappointing.
wish micheal keatons batman suit to be more earthy, to fit his age as a veteran of war, it was to polished, imo. wanted more of supergirl. her back story in how she was captured and how long she has been a prisoner. the whole time i was waiting to see her dive into the sun full of rage as the suns lava poured off her as she destroyed the entire facility that held her there and all the scientist, seeking out the people that held her. hated the fact they treated general zod as throw away character just like they did in the man of steel. all kneel before zod. small spoiler ahead. seeing nicolas cage as superman made me wish they made that movie and to see where tim burton would have taken supermans story. another then that it was an ok movie,
I gotta say....the whole Chronobowl sequences...I saw that as just a visual representation of what the Chronobowl was showing, like they're pop-up pictures from those "film reels" of timelines of those Chronobowls.
I’m with you the visual effects were ABYSMAL, the cameos everyone in my theater was cheering and I was literally shaking my head, the concept was cool but the execution was fucking terrible. And so much of the movie relies heavily on VFX and they looked bad throughout. The babies at the beginning looked bad, Ezra’s face deepfaked on the body double, and the whole last 30 min just looked fucking awful
i had pretty low expectations, so i ended up enjoying the flash a lot - sasha calle is a BEAST! i hope to see more of her either as supergirl or literally anything where she unleashes that rage
I gotta agree, the easter egg scene, cool concept, horrible execution. Made even worse by the fact that they missed a huge opportunity to give the fans something they've wanted for a very long time. Overall, I enjoyed the movie. Despite his real world issues Ezra Miller is actually an incredibly funny person and when he's given the opportunity, a very good actor (I can't get that stupid, perfect laugh he does as teenage Barry out of my head). His final scene with Nora though had me crying because I'd give anything to be able to turn back time to see my mom again. Y'all are absolutely right that this movie had a ton of heart. And yes, the CGI is an atrocity.
On my way back home from Brazil and I hadn’t seen any reviews of this film until now so I’m interested in seeing if I’ll still want to see it when I get home or if I’ll scratch it off my list based on this review.

Michael Keaton's batman in the flash was really scary like Darth Wader. I loved Supergirl, I want more of her I thought it was a done thing for her to be in the new DCU. But I went to Imax and that PS2 CGI was all there!
Review is pretty right on. These guys are on the money with reviews. Strong first act, second act is on and off and the final fight is atrocious. Like a PS2 final level boss game. All in all, one of the better modern superhero movies but still suffers from the same tropes. The ending though...😂😂😂

I'm seeing it this coming Friday, can't wait to see it.HUGE-Flash fan, been waiting years for a Flash film.
What's preventing me from seeing this film?
Ezra Miller
I felt the same way. This movie was good! He was actually good!
@@SuperVirgo74 I never understood his appeal.
@@SuperVirgo74 The movie was low end mid at best. Yall crazy for propping this one up. Good ideas and concepts, but AWFUL execution.
I'll catch this movie when it streams on Max.
same here.Sometime in september should be released maybe even in august.
Michael Keaton's batman in the flash was really scary like Darth Wader. I loved Supergirl, I want more of her I thought it was a done thing for her to be in the new DCU. But I went to Imax and that PS2 CGI was all there!
darth wader..
Surprisingly she wasn't black ...
Review is pretty right on. These guys are on the money with reviews. Strong first act, second act is on and off and the final fight is atrocious. Like a PS2 final level boss game. All in all, one of the better modern superhero movies but still suffers from the same tropes. The ending though...😂😂😂
