Hopefully Nitecore is listening and fixes this to have a real winner. Thanks for the video.
I hope so Gort , this would definitely be the ultimate light if you could submerge it
I have all olights but I love this light. I just don't like how it's not waterproof. I am also trying to own at least one different brand from Olight.
Great features for a nice cost especially with the lock out button. But not being able to be submerged is a problem. Almost everything is submerged in the South the last 3 days unfortunately. May have to think on this one but very tempting at 6500 lumens. Appreciate your how to use info for us guys who dont read directions until later. 🙏👍🔦
Good afternoon Bill I really hope by the time the next one comes out they make it IPX-7 and then it would be a no brainer to get.
@ChrisFromThe740 Being able to drop from high mode to a cooler mode helps a lot. I have a Thrunite with that sensor & it doesn't get long to get very hot before it drops down. For it's size that 29 is a very nice light. 👍
Bought the EDC 29 . Broke the rubber cover on the charging port the first time I charged it . Sucked
🤣🤣🤣
Now that is one seriously nice light. Great review Chris
Thank you I really appreciate it, have a great weekend
@@ChrisFromThe740 I'm laid up with a pinched Nerve, so no videos for me until tomorrow.
Hope you get to feeling better
@@ChrisFromThe740 thanks brother.
Outstanding light! Terrific review video.
Thank you Ron I hope you are having a great weekend
That’s what’s stopping me from buying is it’s not water proof and the drop test rating is bad. I have all olights and they all waterproof with great drop test ratings and lifetime warranty.
@29erallday you are an idiot and you haven't been swimming with it. I have a video that shows what happens when you submerge it for 30 seconds. It has a IP54 rating for a reason.
Yes iv swam with my olights and no issues. To clean them I submerge them in water.
@@JoeJ523 this wasn't directed at you this was someone else who commented about submerging this light
Great video! Do you know when you will release the video you mentioned talking about the waterproofness (or lack thereof) on the EDC29?
Thank you I will be dropping that video tomorrow
@@ChrisFromThe740 Awesome thanks!
@soonenough938 you're welcome
👍👍
Good Afternoon Fluffy
@@ChrisFromThe740 ..... afternoon Chris
6500 lumen is insane (in a good way). Too bad it only lasts a few seconds ( to which I understand why)
Good morning I wish it would last longer on that setting also but it would get so insanely hot. I appreciate you stopping by and leaving a comment.
Its meant for short bursts like self-defense to be able to run away or disorient/distract the assailant which only takes a few seconds at the very most!
Why can’t they list a runtime for the highest modes? If it varies based on temperature just list a range….
I don't know, I don't work for them. You seem to have a lot of time on your hands if something like that bothers you, so reach out to them and ask them.
They don't list runtimes for temporary/special modes to show they are limited.
