#Satisfactory is an FPS open-world factory building sim by #CoffeeStain Studios. You play as an engineer on an alien planet as part of the ‘Save The Day’ program - a program whose goal is to construct a massive machine for a mysterious purpose. Conquer nature, build multi-story factories, and automate to satisfaction!
That beach bit was gold. also it was nice of Jace to make a guest appearance.
looks relaxing!
HOW DID I NOT SEE THIS THE FIRST TIME?
I kinda want one ngl
@@Cmdr_Travis_Robicheaux It's gotta be that Japanese body pillow 🤣
@@Ashtarte3D wait what where?
Ok, that new community manager *is* cuter than Jace, but not by much, I'll give you that.
slightly fluffier too
na i love Jace
You went above and beyond just for that beach shot Snutt! 🤣🤣🤣
Least rainy day in Sweden.
I like how he had to hold the margarita tightly
@@thespacementv1506 That's not true at all. There are less rainy days, such as when it snows.
wait what isn't suppose to be summer over there lol, i was like wft here in winter in the south and its no different there ha O.o
@@bencoad8492traditional Swedish summer is one to two weeks of sun and 25 to 30 degrees, then it transitions to what's seen here. And we had our sun at the start of June, so now we're just waiting for winter.
as a fellow Swede I can confirm this is what 50% of our summers are like
seems a lot like a San Francisco summer except in place of rain we just get lots of fog.
tbh this summer it was pretty bad, its been raining where im at pretty much nonstop for the last 3-4 weeks xD
I'm from Seattle. Me and the rest of the gang here are wondering why a jacket was considered necessary.
I'm jealous. You go to beach and have free refill of your margarita.
british summers aren't so different lol, one year i was camping and it was just raining so bad the tent was trying to fly away. we ended up going home on the second day cause the weather didn't pick up
Omg I love the new community manager, such a good boy!
I always liked them both
such a good lizzard doggo*
😆
@@H0bbit1983 He means the doggo ;)
Performace improvements are a game changer. Pls take your time to finish your work. I would rather wait 2 months, than playing a bug festival for 2 months
Frfr. Deffinitely work on dedis aswell!
Thanks Snutt, helps a lot
Aww, I love new community manager! very fluffy!
I can't wait for "Stable" Update 8 ^_^ I'm glad yall had a good time away on holiday/vacation
Dude, U8 on experimental is amazing. The QOL features like nudge and blueprint delete have been extremely liberating. Looking forward to seeing what's next!
Can't play it myself unfortunately. Have major issues with stutters
@@bawlzack7877 Yeah same here
The lumen looks amazing when setting up lighting but the stuttering everywhere else even with lumen off is just so bad
@@bawlzack7877 I've had occasional stutters as well. What worked for me, believe it or not, was capping my framerate at 60fps. My computer can do way more, but for some reason everything sorted itself out after a couple visual tweaks and capping at 60fps (I also don't really use Lumen).
Also on experimental and the QoL makes it impossible to go back to U7
@@bawlzack7877 Same - hypertube canons break the game for me now.
And because I've 100% adopted the QoL updates, I really can't go back to the stable branch.
It's fine, there are other factories that need to grow 🙂
I was thinking, "Sweden has beaches?" :P
You live in the USA, i guess? 🤣
@@pimmanders2261Canada, lol :D We do ice fishing, eh.
A lot of 🌚
Lmao, just been on holiday to Sweden, and i was quite surprised by the amount of people at the beach(it was quite warm)
As a northern german with basically the same weather these last few weeks, your vacation clip made my day!
Amazing. You guys are doing such an amazing job and welcome back! ^.^ This was so much more news than expected! That beach looked like it hit the spot! Loved the cuts at the end, sheer perfection! Cant wait to see the hard work implemented but know it just takes time.
Thanks Snutt... Helps a lot! Understandable the simplicity from our view on Update 8 because going that upgrade to Unreal Engine 5 and 5.2 are a BIG step, so keep up the great work. Good luck to the entire CS team on the future bug fix challenges!
Great to see you guys back at it! - My particular issue is that performance went from 60+ in U7 to 20ish in U8 regardless of where I am in the world. If I load earlier saves it seems things get better the further back I go. I assume its the complexity of the world doing the damage, because changing graphics settings does nothing but loading older saves radically improves it. But I haven't seen this reported anywhere and my own post on the site has few upvotes. I hope this can be acknowledged or I can find out a solution. Yes, drivers updated, bios checked etc. etc. went through a lot of options and its only U8 that's doing this. Thanks anyways, look forward to seeing what's on the horizon!
Setting ETAs when you're not sure you can keep them will just end up creating expectations you may be forced to disappoint, or rush the work to meet. So no worries. Quality takes time.
The physics engine causing the stuttering while moving fast explains pretty much all of my stuttering issues.
5:09 that is probably one of my favorite parts of the game. When you explore there’s creatures and you’ll have that moment of excitement and panic. But it doesn’t take long before you’re casually walking around there on the floor of the new factory you just put up
I'm really happy to hear that so much work is going on "under the hood," so to speak. This may result in slower visible progress for now, but it creates a stronger foundation for the game going forward, ensuring a more stable, pleasant, and smooth gaming experience.
Folks, it takes as long as it takes to get finalized. Don't be sad about a "long experimental" window. Update 8 was a HUGE back end overhaul and you guys had a lot of problems to chew on because of it. Thanks for being awesome :D :D
For anyone complaining about "long development times", Star Citizen says hi.
If you’re sad about having to wait for an update just play the experimental idiot.
@@chrishoppner150 The mention of that game gives me red eye!
The Legend is back! Glad you got to enjoy the beach! Looks relaxing and all :p
I don't know what's worse, that weather in Sweeden or a crazy over 40C in Spain. AND in Mallorca (my place) is so f** crowded that we can't relax on the beach anymore due to the massive amount of turism.
DLSS is so exciting, super looking forward to update 8
I am patient as a saint regarding to you guys. I love your amount and clearity of whats going on in/on CSS, where issues are etc.👍👍 Great applause 👏👏
I hope they fix hyper tubes. I managed to fix the two cannons I have but not the regular accelerators in sequence, of which I have a lot. I know it was a bug previously but I just can’t be bothered rebuilding them all, no time to spend hours walking to them. Literally the only reason I stopped after 10 mins trying the update and haven’t touched it since.
I wish they just made normal hypertubes faster tbh. It's a cool way to travel. Or maybe make it so adding supports give you a small boost, so you can make it fast by shortening the tube segments.
I know this was specifically mentioned as not coming, but Nanite on foliage is the number one graphics feature that I want. And with UE 5.2 that is now a possibility!
Also, great video as per usual. Helps a lot.
Is that something which can be modded in on UE 5.2?
you guys really have the best community updates out there. i can never be mad when an update is a little later than hoped because you guys actually tell us why and what problems you are working on. imho one of the most important part of game developement these days. love you guys!
Late but very happy to hear you guys got yourselves a vacation! PLEASE TAKE YOUR TIME. I love this game and am personally abstaining until "final" release, do what you must for however long that takes. I'm estatic to experience the masterpiece you guys are crafting.
You guys keep doing such a great job with updating the community; thanks! I also really enjoyed hearing about some of the technical details behind the performance issues. It's so much more interesting than just vague comments about "graphics problems" or "garbage collection."
Should have popped over to Northern Norway, we have had an exceptional summer this year with more days above 20 than we've had in many many years. Of course now we have to pay for it with 6 months of rain, sleet, snow etc. but, totally worth it.
So glad you're adding stable to the game :) horses will make a cool new form of transportation!
I think you misunderstood, the horses are not for riding but a new glue recipe
Why would you need a stable? Just keep your horse in your horse-pocket...
I also want to add how truly respectable it is to see a studio taking such care in their early access version releases, personally as a developer early access to me is -almost- the same as experimental, the game being as stable as it is in early access is phenomenal, kudos to you guys for caring about this community and the updates we receive.
We appreciate it all!
Thanks Snoot! Helps a lot! Man, that beach vacation clip looked so amazing. I'm jealous AF.
Thanks for the updates Snutt
That summer looks lovely. Hopefully I get that job in southern Sweden.
The Beach edit was soo good. I was literally LOLing. Good lord please fix the performance. It's so bad with the stuttering and my frames are even worse when hosting a multiplayer session with just 1 extra person.
As someone who lives below the equator, that swedish weather looks amazing.
It's great to hear that you are back.
I know, that you have enough to do with the new engine etc, but i need to ask for some new structure parts. I have a bit problem, that the half pipe foundations don't have proper walls for the sides. The same for walls and windows. We need them 4m wide, half the width. And we need angled windows for the sides of roofs. 4m wide walls with doors, conveyorholes etc. And we need foundations 4x4m (wuarter foundation) to build thick floors. I know, we have the metal bridge parts, but these don't look right at every place.
I think having more than one experimental build before making a 'stable' update is a smart idea. You keep getting more relevant player feedback on what the priority should be.
Thanks Snutt, helps alot 😊
Cool, I'm hyped. Been waiting on Update 8 to start my game again, so I'm glad to see you guys are recharged and ready to go
Great update again, thanks! Looking forward to stable release.
Im really excited for the new community manager, he seems very competend and Im convinced he will improve the videos. Im very excited for what the near future brings us and we, the community will welcome the new community manager :D
Thanks for the update! Hope yall had a great vacation period, cause you definitely deserved it!
In Belgium we just had an entire month of non stop rain so yeah i was glad to be back to work too, right as the sun came back :p
Take your time :)
The beach bit made me lough hard 😂
that pup's looking at you like I don't sound nothing like that
Great video. What I usually expect of such update videos is just robotic-like perfect (and only) informational Videos. You bring us all the information and Extra-Stuff to laugh about and little jokes and stuff, which makes your videos even better. Keep it up!
Thanks for the update! Hopefully you'll be able to support FSR 3, just announced.
Thanks Snutt! Looking forward to seeing more of you, you've got a great sense of humour.
Welcome back guys!!!
my dude really went outside to the beach during storm Hans. All for a 10 second funny segment. Dedication
I would have monster spawns be limited by "Sound" or working machines. idle machines and slabs are not enough to scare the animals away. but working (or powered) equipment should be.
haha, I love the commitment to the margaritas on the beach. Thanks for the update
Thanks Jace, helps a lot.
Thanks Snutt, helps a lot! Good to have y'all back.
Cant wait for more to come :D thanks for the news! You guys take your time, no rush, we are happy to be informed. Keep it up guys this game is so amazing. Can I ask one question? What is the name of the song in the video? It sounds so chilling, thanks, greetings from Belgium
LOVE the new Community manager

Summer really is a wonderful day ^_^
Each time I watch your videos I am uncertain on whether I want to play your awesome game or to work in your awesome team.
Thanks for being such a lovely people!
That beach joke was a good one!
I'm really looking forward to get back on this game once UPDATE 8 goes on the standard branch. Snutt, I LOVE YOUR VALHEIM shirt, I've been playing that game a Ton lately. :)
I wish you luck merging all your current working branches back into main/master together - sounds like there's a lot going on there.
For the record, I'm enjoying the current U8 build on Experimental - no outright crashes so far, just two freezes in quite a few hours. And the hologram freeze feature is amazing, though I legit haven't had to actually nudge anything yet.
So interesting to learn about optimisation issues as most games dont have to because they dont have a bigillion machines working at the same time. Its impressive what you can do as most studios say its impossible.
I'm so glad you're back! I've switched to experimental for my content because Lumen looks SO AWESOME!
It had nothing to do with disabling arachnids. No, definitely not.
_hears a cat meowing_ AAARGH!
Anyway... looking forward to this!
Thanks Eevee, helps a lot.
Thanks for the update on the update :D
That's an adorkable new community manager!
Thanks Eevee Helps a Lot
I recently moved from WA state to TX. Went from summers as depicted in this video to 100F/40C for the last month straight.
I absolutely love update 8. The QoL is real!
But oooh boy, am I in need of less crashes. I am very happy to hear those things are on their way and eagerly awaiting the next few patches!
Huge applause for updating the engine. That's never an easy feat, and a lot of companies would just ignore it (APB took them like 10 years it seemed). So huge kudos for the work done!
(Now to convince myself to play again, dreaded fluids have kept me away ... and how they refuse to operate how I want them to)
I am really excited for update 8, not only becouse of performance increases but also that I can use my turbofuel which I amassed like 20 large storagecontainers full.
Thank you for the update! I am really enjoying the game and have played almost exclusively in Experimental (8) but have yet to experience a crash in single player. Lots of crashes when in multiplayer but I know that's not optimized yet.
That beach shot was instant like 😂
OMG have I been enjoying Update 8! The new blueprint features have gotten me re-obsessed! Big love to everyone at Coffee Stain for a brilliant job!
I really was loving how animals were spawning in my base... i hope this is a direction you go in... adds some spice to my building.
genuinely loled at the beach segment
I very much look forward to the fix for the random crashes. I was baffled how it can either just crash the game, crash the entire display driver, or even one time, blue screened my entire PC 🫠 keep up the good work!
That background sound was music to my ears 🎶🎵
Are there any plans to add more light-sources? Or like have factory-buildings have some basic lighting, so that indoor production-lines aren't totally dark?
Thanks for the update!
I laughed for a solid minute on that "sipping margaritas on the beach" bit. Very clever. 😂
Snutt, been here this long I for one am not going anywhere, you and the Team keep up the great work! Based on what all you have said you guys wish to accomplish, I am expecting Update 8 release to stable in November. Keep the updates and honesty coming as you do and I for one shall wait as long as you need.
Just one request, don't scare the poor dog anymore. LOL 😂
thanks for the intel support, the upscaling works great, cant wait for the next update
5:00 For the new spawner system, will there be a way for players to keep track of how many points each structure is worth, and how many points are within an area on the map? So we can tell at a glance how close we are coming to deactivating spawners? Maybe we want to leave an area as a nature preserve / safari tour but we still need to put a little bit of infrastructure in there. Would be nice to have some idea of where the threshold is for turning off the creature spawns.
As bad as you make the experimental branch sound, you guys have still done very well in making it stable. I have only played on the experimental branch for the last three years, and I think I can count on one hand the number of times the game has crashed on me.
I'm inclined to agree, up until update 7 and 8. 7 crashed at least once a day, and we ran into many of the bugs day after day as they were being fixed. It was like they were in our game witnessing our bigs firsthand, and fixing them three days later. Update 8, however, crashes anywhere from 3 to 12 times a day. I don't blame css in the slightest, as they are great devs that are insanely adept at optimization, but I would be a plain faced liar to say update 8 isnt insanely messy atm
@CommanderInQuack Yeah I suppose I have been somewhat lucky with the bugs, it sounds like the transition to UE5 has been a little rough for Css.
Multiplayer seems to be hogging all the crashes
just was in skövde, was on vacation in the region. I had a nice bread with chicken and cheese in a bakery
Take all the time you need ;)
I've been on holiday in Greece for the past like 5 weeks, so I managed to avoid the worst of the Swedish Summer Rain. However, I have to say that I actually laughed out loud when you showed the beach clip.
Glad to hear you're all back after a nice(Possibly?) vacation, and I hope that the upgrade to UE5.2 works out all right.
Thanks Snutt, helps a lot!
Stu go away i want to seethe doggo more😅
As someone who lives in the southern hemisphere, I can appreciate how it feels to have stormy weather around this time of year too! 😅
Thanks for the solid updates and keeping the lighthearted nature of it. Keep up the great work everyone over there.
Also obligatory PUPPY!!!!
It reminds me of the Danish summer. The best week of the year.
0:28 Nice beach weather, LOL
Thanks Snutt, Helps A lot.
Thanks Jace, helps a lot!
