- Former India captain Bishan Singh Bedi, a legendary spinner, died at the age of 77 years on Monday. Between 1967 and 1979, the legendary spinner played 67 Tests for India, taking 266 wickets. In addition, he took seven wickets in ten One-Day Internationals.

So sad for the loss …. Mr Bedi was ruthless and too candid.
I didn’t know of Bishan before his death was announced on BBC sport, his numbers insisted I take some time to understand his genius with the ball on RUclips, and what a beautiful man in conversation here. A sad loss to Indian cricket and beyond.
If he’s good in cricket that would’ve taken him far than movies. Cricketers in India are no less than actors.

It's unfortunate that back in the day Sikhs had to give up their religious identity(turban) in order to be accepted in Bollywood. Father and son look like from different families :(
The biggest blockbuster of all times gadar 2 has a sardar playing the lead role. Where ever the tale of massive courage needs to be displayed, then sikhs are accepted as a natural fit for such roles in bollywood.
