As a schoolboy in the 1970s, I used to watch Bishan Bedi bowl for Northants in the County Championship in England. I knew very early on I was seeing a very great slow bowler. There was the grace and balance of his approach to the wicket and in his delivery stride, the classically side on position and high arm at the point of release, the perfect control of flight and spin, and above all, the patience and guile with which he tempted and teased batsmen. RIP
Sir, it was golden era of great spinners we seen, Bedi Prasanna , Venkata and Chandra.
