I’m from jersey too ..I’m priced out here and was hoping on Florida in a few years and I’m priced out there now as well . Who the hell can pay $500k+ for an average home ?! It’s wild .
Ha, no questions,. Prices are crazy. You just figure out how to live without paying rent or payments. It's possible.
Just to be clear, running your A/C 24/7 did not cause the mold problem!
That could be true but I'm not an AC expert. Thats what I was told
I think it definitely contributed to the mold
The value of the home isn’t the major problem. Look at the median or even avg income in Fort Lauderdale or even the SE Florida area and it doesn’t support those home prices. NJ, DC, NY, Chicago, are all expensive but look at their income. How are people affording 800k homes with a median income of 70k. Who are these new homes building for? CEO?…
Agreed
It has been well known for decades that wages are generally lower in South Florida. The best way to avoid that with a salaried job is to work for a company that is headquartered in another state where they pay higher wages. I’ve accomplished that with more than one company.
its 25 k NOT 50k, also there are no longer homes valued at 50 k or below. THE HOMESTEAD EXEMPTION
In the state of Florida, a $25,000 exemption is applied to the first $50,000 of your property's assessed value if your property is your permanent residence and you owned the property on January 1 of the tax year.
If this is the cost in Broward, I don’t even want to hear about Miami-Dade.
First! 😁
