Fort Lauderdale - The absolute BEST city in Florida and the entire US. A hidden gem and I wish it stays that way. The one thing going for Fort Lauderdale is that since it is so close to Miami, Fort Lauderdale does NOT get included in the list of best Florida cities [as most list makers think that Fort Lauderdale is a duplicate entry - being so close/suburb of Miami]. That keeps a lot of people AWAY from Fort Lauderdale. And the crowd just goes to MIami LOL. We like it that way. Fort Lauderdale is so much better than Miami without the chaos of Miami.
@@garvinsimmons Totally agree. Glad you enjoyed Broward county. Many hidden gems up and down the coast in Broward. Some attractions to consider next time, if you haven't explored them already: Sawgrass Recreation Park: Explore the Florida Everglades with airboat tours and wildlife encounters, including alligators and exotic birds. Bonnet House Museum and Gardens: Visit this historic home with lush gardens, art, and a glimpse into Fort Lauderdale's past. Las Olas Boulevard: A trendy area offering upscale shopping, dining, and entertainment options, along with charming architecture. Flamingo Gardens: A botanical garden and wildlife sanctuary featuring lush gardens, native plants, and a variety of animals. Butterfly World: Located in Coconut Creek, it's the largest butterfly park in the world, with thousands of colorful butterflies and exotic birds. Museum of Discovery and Science: A family-friendly museum with interactive exhibits on science and technology, an IMAX theater, and a live animal center. NSU Art Museum Fort Lauderdale: Explore contemporary and modern art collections in a stunning building designed by architect Edward Larrabee Barnes. Hugh Taylor Birch State Park: A serene urban oasis offering hiking trails, picnicking, and canoeing, right in the heart of Fort Lauderdale. Deerfield Beach: Another lovely beach with a fishing pier, water sports, and a lively beachfront area with restaurants and shops. And the next 10 would be: Hollywood Beach Broadwalk: A scenic oceanfront promenade in Hollywood, Florida, known for its lively atmosphere, cafes, and shops. Anne Kolb Nature Center: Explore the mangrove ecosystem of South Florida through hiking trails, an observation tower, and educational exhibits. Young at Art Museum: A hands-on art museum designed for children and families, featuring interactive exhibits and art programs. Everglades Holiday Park: Experience the Everglades with airboat rides, live alligator shows, and educational wildlife encounters. Plantation Historical Museum: Learn about the history of Plantation, Florida, through exhibits, artifacts, and historical buildings. Pompano Beach Pier: A popular spot for fishing and enjoying ocean views, with a beachfront playground and restaurants nearby. Stranahan House Museum: Visit Fort Lauderdale's oldest surviving structure, the historic home of Frank and Ivy Stranahan, now a museum. Swap Shop and Thunderbird Drive-In: A massive flea market with shops, a giant video screen, and a drive-in movie theater for a nostalgic experience. Coral Springs Museum of Art: Explore contemporary art exhibitions, educational programs, and workshops in Coral Springs. West Lake Park: Enjoy outdoor activities such as kayaking, paddleboarding, and picnicking in a tranquil natural setting.
Was in Fort Lauderdale 2009. Furtunate to have flown over the city by airplane from Toronto then bused into Miami. Wonderful spectacular city Fort Lauderdale FL is.
I lived 9 years of my life in USA: 5 years in beautiful Monterey California Bay, 3 years in Florida [Boca Raton and Aventura] and 1 year in Texas. Fort Lauderdale has been a popular holiday destination and also a popular party spot my whole life
I have to say - you make the absolute best videos! I was just there for a few days and this captures it so well! Absolutely top quality drone flying/drone video and high quality video editing. Great balance of talking, video, music, etc. Keep up the great work! Can't wait to see more of your work in south FL!

Nice video. I drive to Fort lauderdale every day for work and I enjoy sightseeing when I'm off. It is a nice place. I find some of the negative comments all laughable; they seem driven more by envy than a real objective assessment.
Great video never been but I’ve always had visions since I was a kid of hitting the lottery and leaving California and going to Fort Lauderdale. Hopefully one day comes true. 🙏🏽
This is how an American city is supposed to look. Strong, vibrant, no bums sleeping on the sidewalk, no trash piled up, every building occupied by businesses. The spring breakers can be a little gnarly but I think the city is over it and isn't going to put up with that crap any more. Other than that this looks like a great place to live.❤

A lot more good, than bad. Been here 18 years and its a very safe and neat looking city. No tent cities and dirt/trash on the streets. You may see panhandlers at some places, but by and large the city is kept very clean. I am sure there would be some sketchy areas. I just havent seen any/many. So you wouldn't find trouble unless you go looking for it. If you plan on living, there are many 'more' affordable places in the suburbs. Actually a lot of very attractive little towns all around broward county that seamlessly mesh and melt into one another. Some of these can be 30 minutes from downtown Fort Lauderdale [both to the north and south of Fort Lauderdale proper], but you get more affordable housing options with the same nice, neat organized setup. The good news is whereever you go - north or south - there is a beach/beach town eastward some 10 to 20 minutes from where you live [without having to drive 30 to 40 minutes to the Fort Lauderdale beach]. you could even look further north [Deerfield beach is a great location and a very nice quaint beach, that not many from downtown fort Lauderdale visit]. Pompano Beach is another pretty quaint beach which underwent a lot of upgrades including a Pier out into the sea and nice eateries nearby. Margate and Tamarac are other little quaint good towns/cities that look pretty cool. Coral Springs is a very nice city but spread out more than Margate [which is a self contained city where almost every amenity is walking distance]. Sunrise, Plantation, Lauderdale by the sea are little cities/towns not far from downtown Fort Lauderdale with some nice housing options. Other great areas to the south of Fort Lauderdale are Hollywood, Davie, Weston etc. Davie and Weston do have several horse communities too. Overall Davie and Weston could have some pricier/upper class home communities. Lighthouse point is a unique coastal little city where the old world charm snuggles with modern attractions. Dania Beach and Wilton Manors should also find eminent mention in uniquely quaint charming towns. Hallandale Beach is another big city in its own right with a unique identity of its own. It feels part Fort Lauderdale and part Miami in terms of vibes, though it clearly is neither. It is truly the city that stands between Greater Fort lauderdale and the Miami Suburbs. Hallandale Beach is a self contained city and has most everything ... Casinos, watersports/AquaShop, Night clubs, Broadwalk, restaurants and breakfast nooks, Daily 2 hr long boat rides to Bimini in Bahamas, boat rides to Fort Lauderdale or Miami, Horse racing parks. You name it and Hallandale Beach has it all. Hollywood, the city just north of Hallandale, also boasts of a great broadwalk which is an experience/outing in itself with hundreds of shops and eateries and other activities on one side and the ocean on the other. Overall in Broward there are several Casinos and you could also chance upon racetrack [horse/dog racing]. Some Casinos have great breakfast/brunch options. Also there are a lot of good seaside/canal side coffee shops and restaurants too. Water taxis and boat rides abound. The worlds largest collection of Butterflies [Butterfly world] is in the suburbs of Fort Lauderdale as are alligator sighting rides/hovercraft on the everglades. There are several areas to catch glimpses of wildlife including Manatees as well.

Great photography of buildings, stores and the geography. What's lacking is what is there to do besides the beach and spending money in stores and restaurants? The perspective is too distant. What do middle class visitors do and people who live there? I have no idea based on this video. Do a cultural Part 2, or try again. This is just a video postcard.
This part of the US looks really clean and well organised but it has the appearance of a giant theme park. I cant explain the feeling I get when I look at these places in Florida, there is something missing. Its like a giant real estate company created a utopia for people that want to detach from the real world and move en mass between various entertainment venues..
Clean and neat, but the architectural landscape is really dull and historical/cultural substance rather thin.... Regardless of that, I did enjoy the video!
The houses are to close together. I lived this way in Arizona I would never want to do that again. I could hear my neighbors talking in their house. It's a monument to American greed the way these houses are all crammed in together like that.
