Sean was the only celebrity death that actually made me cry. I realized that through the dark days of my life, it was his humour and banter that really got me going back on track, the cynical jests and his ability to always sacrifice himself to keep a joke going to avoid the dull moments on a show. We lost a titan in the industry and I feel he was so underrated and underappreciated prior to his death, I hope he truly knew how important he was to so many of us.

I am from a little town in the U.S and have been watching U.K. comedy for about 3 to 4 years. I fell in love with Sean Lock and all of the cast from 8 out of 10. My heart broke when I got the news of Sean . The Uk lost a treasure.
I think Sean was the first person to physically hurt me because I laughed so much I could not breathe and my sides hurt. He could start the slow fuse going, build it up and before you know it you are in pain. A comedy genius that is sadly missed. Of course we still have Jimmy who is a very special comedian and story teller
The thing I love about Sean's brand of comedy was that he sometimes touched upon dark humour, but always in a boyish way. He did cheeky, and he did cheeky so well it often flew under the radar just how clever he was for toeing the line. I'd never seen Jimmy emotional before, but his line about Sean still being with us was lovely.
I've seen a lot of these tiger books recently in shops for kids .... the illustrations look so similar and I give a good chuckle inside when I see them .

I would have loved to have had the opportunity to see the behind-the-scenes conversations/brainstorming with Jimmy, Rachel, Susie, Sean, & Jon. We only ever get to see the stuff that is recorded but to see the unscripted, unrecorded stuff (that no doubt could *not* be shown on television) would've been a real treat.

As someone who has terminal cancer and loves comedy, the lose of Sean was very sad to me. However, Jimmy's poignant tribute is very true. In a way it's a great thing a lot of his comedy moments stay with you and you can revisit them. He brought a lot of laughter to a lot of peoples lives.

Funniest Sean moments were him and Miles Jupp talking about winning Claude in a bet, and Sean ended up saying if you win "I won't spit on you when we are having have sex later tonight", to which Miles replied "good luck trying it without any spit!". The other is when Sean was reading The Tiger Who Came For A Pint. Oh and when Rachel said she dresses up like a viking when she goes skiing and Sean said that's a challenging wank!
That is very sad Jimmy. He was an international treasure and is greatly missed by people from around the world who were lucky enough to see and hear him perform on the shows he was in.
I was fortunate enough to have had the pleasure of of seeing Sean perform his standup at the Apollo. He was amazing. Funniest comedian I’ve ever seen. He came across as a lovely man as well. What a loss to the world of comedy. RIP Sean.
After a few episodes of 8 out of 10 cats countdown, it soon became apparent to me Sean was the only reason I watched it. Loved his sense of humour. Died a month before my mum did who was dying of brain cancer who was a big fan of Sean also.
My favourite line from Sean was on Cats does Countdown; Rachel disguises herself as a Viking when she goes out and Sean replies with “That’s a challenging w**k.”. Pure genius. There will never be another like Sean.

I was fortunate enough to have had the pleasure of of seeing Sean perform his standup at the Apollo. He was amazing. Funniest comedian I’ve ever seen. He came across as a lovely man as well.

After a few episodes of 8 out of 10 cats countdown, it soon became apparent to me Sean was the only reason I watched it. Loved his sense of humour. Died a month before my mum did who was dying of brain cancer who was a big fan of Sean also.
