really enjoy learning about these hats today. I'm 72 and lived my "cowboy" days in Nacogdoches while attending SFA State Univ. Everything was dipped beyond recognition. I never went with a giant pheasant skin band, but they were the chit. Also, there were no patches, just hat pins. I hung at a bar called Belle Star in Dallas. This was before Urban Cowboy which REALLY kicked the Cowboy Dress in high gear. I'm ready for a new hat but since I'm not a cowboy, I think I want a hybrid cowboy/fashion hat. I want a real light colored felt, with a ever so slightly dipped with a short pencil roll. It will be primarily a hunting hat fashioned from one I saw a guy on the Mountain Man TV show. I would love to buy it from DoubleR but dont want to drive there from Frisco, TX. Give me some feedback and suggestions. Keep the boot and hat videos coming. My next stop might have to be Fenoglio Boots for some full quills to fit my VERY wide feet. Thanks, Buzz
That 40X natural is a whole lot better lookin color than the 100x or the 1,000X I purchased a Stetson skyline in silverbelly a couple years ago and it had a pink tint to it. I was very disappointed i returning it and got a black instead By the way, that hat looks great on her !
I’ve always wanted a decent felt hat. Can’t afford much more than a 20X or less. What I need to know, and I have been wearing hats for almost 40 years, but I have a hard time getting one that stays on. My Stetson straw hats, the slightest of breeze and they go flying away. I have no hat ahops near me. The closest one is 2 1/2 hours away and they cannot or just won’t crease one the way I want. I like a sharp edged crease like the guy with the grey hat is. I want a great one as well. Just need some help on why so many can keep a hat on and I can’t. Thanks.
Double R have been the best videos on the channel, Emilio has good vibes

What size brim is rips off of yellowstone
He wears a chocolat Greeley Hat Works with cattleman, no hat band, and a completely trashed 4 inch brim.
Hats of quality can be creased in water. Others just go to mush. You can water stain the liner also. If you work in em , don’t really matter.

@Cowboy Cartel Group did he mark the center of her face?
He didn't, and I notice that about the way he shapes. I don't think he did on my evergreen either.
And both are straight on y’all?
@ yes
Double r needs to come over to jarrell and open up shop. Right off i35 would be a game changer, I think. @doublerhathouse
