- Meet Espi and Nate; two amazingly talented Cowboy Hat sculptors at Double R Hat House in Elgin, TX. These two can fit any hat to any head that walks through the door, and they do it with flair! Espi and Nate were kind enough to sit down with me today and talk all about how they got started, the love of their craft, and what someone can expect at Double R Hat House. These two exemplify the hardworking Texas Spirit and were so fun to chat with.
If you're in the Austin area be sure to stop by Double R Hat House, even if it's just to watch Espi and Nate shape hats. It's quite a show! If you aren't in the area, no worries. Double R Hat House serves customers nationwide at doublerhathouse.com

Cool review 🎉🎉🎉
You lost me when you said there are fashion rules that must be followed. BS. Wear what you want when you want. If someone has a problem with that, who cares? I don’t want to work with someone who’s a slave to fashion rules. That person is too weak minded and self conscious. Probably can’t work worth a shit either.
typical mentality to make excuses to look like shit on purpose
There are in fact many standards and codes, though not strict per se, ESPECIALLY on the ranch or farm, been in ag my whole life. You show up looking like a complete weirdo, you will be shunned. It's a simple reality of life.
@@DanBCooper I don’t know what farms and ranches you’ve been on but I’ve never been anywhere that had standards and codes. You wear whatever you want. If your mixing/grinding feed, baling hay, branding, etc, who cares what hat you’re wearing? Nobody, that’s who. Same as if you want to wear leggings or not, that’s on you. Long sleeve shirt or short sleeve, that’s on you. Gloves or not, that’s on you. I don’t care if you show up in a fuckin speedo as long as you know your job, do it correctly and in a timely manner with minimal supervision. But they were talking about hats. Wear what you want when you want, that’s all I’m saying. If you care so much about fashion that wearing a straw hat after Labor Day bothers you then your nothing but a poser that I don’t want to work with.
@@deanaltman6841 ok, show up to a branding, or farm, or ( take your pick ) with pink hair, a Taylor Swift v neck T shirt, capri pants, and crocs. Let me know how that goes partner. You can be the best hand in the world, you’ll be lucky if they let you leave without an a$$ whoopin. Don’t act like reality doesn’t exist.
@@DanBCooper You’re just spouting nonsense now. My comment was to emphasize that there are no codes and standards like you claim. No one would show up dressed like you described in your fantasy and you know it. Let’s get back to the actual topic. My original comment was in response to this channel’s claim that people wear cowboy hats based on fashion dates. Wearing a straw after Labor Day and that crap. So my original response still stands true, wear whatever you want whenever you want. No real person who lives or works on a farm or ranch gives a damn if you’re wearing a straw or felt. That’s for city folk to get their panties in a twist over.
