Excuse me where can you purchase a glove, I'm asking because I have a speech impairment trouble talking from a car accident n I can only use one hand so I use the alphabet in sign language to communicate and not everyone can read/understand it
Great, now where is the infinity gauntlet that translates speech to ASL? Cuz this doesn't help deaf people understand hearing people, which is the real issue we have.
@@woobenskypierre6224 Automated interpreting for ASL is literally impossible. It isn't like spoken languages where a word has a clean translation. There is a lot of demonstration that only makes sense in context. The machine would not know what to do.
@@blueturtle3623It's also the same for spoken languages. Interpreters don't translate word by word. But sentence by sentence or even beyond that sometimes. can someone who knows good sign language help me translate a video what one of my fans said to me, he drew a fan art for me and as weird as the drawing was lmao it put me hard in my feelings, and at the end of the video he said something in sign language but couldnt understand but i want to show amazing appreciation so if anyone could help me out that would mean a lot.

Got this person who thinks it’s stupid and thinks that you don’t need them because if u go on ur phone and type you can show the person you wanna communicate to so there’s no need for the glove anybody wanna make a response to that so I can show said person.
They are right that this is a stupid idea because ASL is much more than hand position and hand movement. There are expressions and the structure are different than English. Not only that but this benefit only hearing people... not Deaf people. Having the glove translate to hearing people is not different from writing down on a paper or typing on the phone. Deaf people still can't hear or understand verbal reply.
so that you (who don't understand sign) can understand us? if you refuse to learn sign, we'lll come to you... or would you rather pick up a book and start learning to sign? why have yoou not done so yet? then don't as what the point is then... we're tired of catering to hearing people all the time.. glook for a pen and paper, give it to you so you an write down what you are trying to say...and so on and so on and that.. is our daily life.. you have life's communications easy and take it for granted.

I thought this was invented by a Kenyan. Guy called Roy
Yeah, I thought so too
This is not a complex idea. I think this concept also appeared in some entertainment media before. So various people may have come across the same concept naturally can take a swing at developing this technology
I just read an article about him and his invention. Maybe he didn’t get a patent?
The Roy Allela articles are recent. This video is from 2016. Hmmm...
This is over 3 years old the article you're talking about is obviously BS for it's agenda for peoples narratives
Roy Allela from Kenya invented this.
Roy stole their idea.
No he did not 😂
Now I want to practice ninjutsu with this.
lmao Imagine Water Dragon Jutsu xD
Cow bungalow-in a- freight train- swing your partner- fish.
I remember a similar invention in the movie "Congo" where the device worn by a gorilla.
Wonderful!!! Where can you purchase these gloves? It opens up conversation for the deaf to interact with those who do not know ASL.
But how do you communicate back?
Pen and paper
@@nataliecanney2777 Then you might as well just stick with pen and paper without glove.
Speech to text

i don't believe it's in the market yet, its still under production and improvement
8 years later already (2024). Any update?

We'll make them with AR glasses. The deaf can wear them and see am avatar that translates what people around are saying

I know the video is about sign language revolution, but Thomas is so handsome and it’s hard to ignore it.

I’ve researched these these gloves and it says they were invented by Roy Allela.
Stop making assumptions and look at when Roy invented it.
So who actually made it first?? Cause it's like 4 people acting as if they're the first and only ones to made smart sign language gloves
