I was on the bill with George (creator of the UDO Super 6) at SonicState's EMOM. The sound in the room of this instrument through a great PA was incredibly moving. A very beautiful instrument indeed. He's also a really nice bloke.

Have to say, I'm a bit of a fan of your channel. I love the way you present unpretentiously, enthusiastically, with a good balance of demoing and selling... it's a warm, soft approach, which I think brings value and confidence to people's perception of Andersons as a business. It's always enjoyable to spend a few minutes in your company when you're checking out something new to you. Got an OB-X8 for nostalgia reasons. A great synth for an old guy built by old guys who are legends in the synth world. Thanks Tom, Dave and Marcus. Dave is missed. And an Iridium keyboard for variety and a UDO Super 6 desktop for the heck of it. I haven't hooked all three up together yet.

Honestly as soon as you played the juno x I’m like ahhh yeah there it is.. that’s the one. Just nice and smooth.. and 80s 🤩 I own a Jupiter x and even though it’s the same I want a Juno x just because. Roland has me by the balls. I’m very very curious about super6 but the price tag is tough.. it looks damn good but everything iv heard makes me confused at the same time. The Junos like I’m rolled up in a ultra soft puffy blanket and the super 6 is the same blanket but a bit itchy and scratchy. 🤷🏽♂️
I just got my first synth (Korg Minilogue), and I’ve also been thinking about replacing my 1990s arranger keyboard with something newer. The Juno-X is quite tempting as those PCM sound will likely cover everything I used the arranger for on top of being a Juno.
@@HOLLASOUNDS : I was still undecided on what to get and was planning to spend a few more months learning with soft synths before buying hardware. But then I lucked into a really good deal on a Minilogue.
@@RobertFisher1969 I spent over 10 years using software mainly Reason but then later got some Arturia VSTs and some from other brands. I had Reason 4 for that long lol it's only got 3 sythersizors, I upgrade to Reason 12 last year and bought a bunch of 3rd Party Sythersizors that only work in Reasons system but that can be leaded into other DAWs as a VST.

I think it was the Model D app on the iPad that first got me interested in synthesis. But then this year, researching for an updated arranger keyboard, one sidetrack led to wanting to learn more about synths. And-rationally-it seems like good MIDI controllers and soft-synths are the way to go these days. But as an old guy & a guitarist, hardware appeals to me.

Owned the Iridium for about a month. Sold it. The shortest time I owned a synth ever. Don't waste your money. New Korg units do a much better job for wave tables and FM, and the VA section in the Iridium is overwhelmingly disappointing. The VA doesn't stand up to U-He, Roland VA, not to mention the OB-X8, the MoogOne, the Prophet10, the Jupiter8, the Moog Voyager, the Matrix1000s, the SE Omega, the ATC-1, not even the SH 101, Rev2 or OB-6 from my arsenal. I am from Germany, so I wished I could have said anything better about the German Iridium. I can't. This unit makes no sense.

Sounds like you have nfi what you're talking about, each and every synth they spoke about is a stellar synth, the fact you need to put a negative spin on it shows that you have been hanging out with John for too long.
Wrong, I regularly see Andertons under cut other retailers buy sometimes a significant margin on price. Your theory holds no water because when they want to clear stock they will have a sale.
@@HOLLASOUNDS Andertons is a business, they provide a service free of charge for anyone to be able to check out new gear, something store where I live don't. I'd support Andertons if I lived in shipping distance, but I don't and it's not cost effective to buy from them. I come here for Jack n the Falcon, I enjoy their banter and i enjoy the special guest they have on their vids.

It's a good first sythersizor I was going to buy the Minilogue but got a MiniNova instead its not Analog but kinda sounds like it.

I think the Waldorf Iridum desktop and UDO6 desktop will be my next buy.Already have JupiterX so dont need the Juno.
