I'm still on the Logitecht G27 and looking around for something new. However I fixed the Logitech once (the rotary encoder failed) and now it won't break so I have no excuses to replace the wheel yet. I today stumbled upon Moza and watched a few video's of yours and now I'm really wanting to buy an R5.
@ardonjr thanks for watching! The R5 is good but if you have been on the G27 for long enough to break it, I think you should try and go for something a little higher torque ideally around the R12 / alpha mini arena as I think those bases will last you a very long time in comparison!
Same, but after watching several reviews i ended up getting the R5 with all the add-ons, a 3DRap clutch mod and the brake loadcell. And their uprated springs all round.
there is a Simpush 13-inch round wheel mod for the ES Wheel which is lighter than Moza's wheel. however the paddle shifter they provide is a stick-on and not the screw-in type which Moza's 12-inch provide
@Lenwanxin thanks for sharing, good to have more options, IDK if that offers anything over the Moza version? Looks a little cheap from my first impressions, but maybe thats the selling point if its much cheaper?
Hi there, I am also modding the accelerator pedal with the 3DRap throttle pro kit for the SR-P Lite/SRP, for 35 Euro. There are some very good reviews for it. BTW, thank you for this video, it is very helpful!
I've been on the fence about the Formula wheel for my R5 bundle because of the shipping costs and horrible things I've heard of Moza's delivery times, but it's back on the wishlist now lol
@SkillIssueRacingChannel it was not a big deal for me, but really wish I got it earlier I love this style of wheel so much! See if you can find a local distributor, works out much better!
What wheelbase did you upgrade to, another Moza? I've been looking at the R5, but the load-cell in SRP pedals looks appealling (as does R9 for some additional force if I get bigger wheels). There's quite a price jump from R5 to R9+SRP though and I'm not sure if it's worth it.
@DanTup I got a VRS wheelbase after much research! I have another video on it. I think the main answer to your question will be whether you are racing at a desk, and if you plan to get a rig in the near term. If you just want to race at a desk then a more powerful base and a loadcell pedal set will cause you a headache anyway, so just get started with the cheaper stuff! If you want a rig in the near term then R12 + Loadcell will give you everything you need, but thats a lot of money! Its also not a bad time to look for used gear at good prices!
@@MichaelSmithRaces thanks, that one is probably out of my price range 😄 I'll check out the video though. I'm currently racing on a desk (with Logitech G920), I'm planning to get a rig with the change to either R5 or R9 (both because of pedal movement and the chair spinning 😄). The R5+perf kit is approx £487 and the R9+SR-P+ES wheel is approx £675 so I guess I'm trying to decide whether the load cell and the increase from 5 to 9nm is worth the ~£190 more. I think my biggest concern is that the G920 already has a rubber bung in the pedal, so the R5 pedals without kit I'm certain would feel _worse_ than the logitechs.. But I don't know if the perf kit will make up for that if I'll end up regretting not having the load cell. Used in an option, but I don't like the idea of not having a warranty for this kind of money.
@@MichaelSmithRaces thanks, that's the conclusion I think I'm coming to (especially when the difference is a smaller percentage when you add the cost of the rig to the total 😄)
The wheel is what gives it Xbox compatibility so yes the load cell will work on the box. You could use an R5 base w the box if you have the wheel w the Xbox symbol on it
yeah its easy to keep adding bits and pieces it was only when I started packing up my R5 I just kept finding more and more things! What would be your top pic @bokomassine8124 ?
Thanks for the rundown, I absolutely agree!
PS. Amazing setup you have behind!
All the gear, no idea!

@FynnvanMiddelaar thanks for commenting! Appreciate it!
Any upgrades I missed? Which are you most interested in?

could you provide a link for the loadcell mod?

If you get a rig, R9 with loadcell is 100% worth an extra £190 no question in my mind!

any idea if the loadcell mod works on xbox? It probably should
@theexcrim some folks have said it does, but I have not tested it myself.

What monitors are you using?
Dell 27inch G2724D they have been very good.
, I have all😊
