I’m a late 60’s and 70s girl so I do love wide leg and bell bottom jeans. Of course I wear all styles for whatever outfit I’m doing for the day. It is probably a sin to have as many pairs of jeans as I have but I have had a lot of them for years so I guess I would consider them slow fashion. I hardly ever get rid of jeans. I usually only add a new current style to my collection and I do wear all of them. Loved your take on these bootie styles!
Im not into many trends but Ive learned there are flattering ways to wear booties with my jeans. Your tips are consistent with other great stylists I follow. 👍👍
Good day!!! When I saw you hold up the two ankle boots and the ones you selected, I knew you were a stylish lady! I look forward to getting to know your style here on RUclips! New subscriber!♥️💚
Great video! I'm always struggling with the Boot/Jean combo and how to get the proportion right. FYI not a huge fan of super wide/baggy jeans. I do like some flare, or a looser straight leg, anything bigger swallows me up
Thanks for these tips. I recently bought a pair of ankle boots and so far I’ve only been wearing boot cut jeans with them. I need tips on pairing them with skirts and dresses 😂
Thanks for the comment! I will say this video is a little old and some tips are outdated. For skirts and dresses, boots with a mid to high shaft look great. Any kind of ankle boots work with a maxi skirt and it’s ok if there isn’t any skin showing. Hope that helps!
Yes, this video is a year older (maybe more?) trends have changed a bit. I would no longer recommend the big heavy rolled cuff. And you can definitely wear a stiletto with flares!
Love the looks. I tend to stick with skinny jeans with ankle boots. I’d like to venture into the straight leg jeans so I appreciate your suggestions. What about ankle boots that aren’t close fitting to your leg? Do you wear them the same way?
I don't really own any that aren't close-fitting to the leg. But these would look better with skirts/dresses. The thing with jeans is you may be able to see the boot bulging through the jean if it's wider. Hope that makes sense! Depends on the boot really...
The skinny jean has faded from the runways, but still are great to tuck in tall shaft/knee-high boots and wellies. The trick with the straight-leg and cropped flare jeans is to make sure your boot/booties are tight around the ankle or there is too much volume between the two. My fav is the cropped flair with a knit sock bootie.
I am not a fan of the wide leg jeans, but it's because I'm 5'2" tall pear shape person, and it's just not a good luck on me! I'm all for skinny or straight jeans!! I just discovered your channel, and I enjoyed your video! I like the boots you highlighted here as well, but at 52 years old, I'm not into combat boots!!😜
Thanks, Tami! I'm pushing 40 but yes, combat boots are not for everyone. Chelsea boots are a great alternative! I would definitely stick to a straight leg as well since you are petite. At least there are soooo many stylish options these days!
I have been struggling with ankle jeans/pants for some time. I live in the midwest and just want to write a letter to someone that says, "Dear Sirs, my ankles are fricken freezing" With that being said i do seem to keep buying them, i am 55 and to me skinny jeans are out of the question. I am also really getting comfortable with flat boots and shoes. i still want to seem some what fashionable, at the very lest not difficult to see. Thank You for the ideas they're quite helpful.
5:37... Don't show too much skin.... The knees are torn open! Please, don't. If you fall of your bicycle, bring the jeans to recycling. Or turn them into shorts. With proper hems.
I am sure you don’t have fat ankles :) if you are wanting to elongate, look for nude-tone booties and try some that have a higher shaft so they don’t accentuate your ankles as much. Don’t roll or cuff your jeans either
What's your favorite way to rock ankle boots with jeans? Let me know in the comments!

Yessss, me too!!

Hi darling! I believe ankle stilettos can go with flare jeans as well

@@LifewithMar awesome! Thank you for your response. I like the pointed toes so im sure it’s awesome for the silhouette and frame.
@@ArianaMontenegroEc I love a pointy toe with flare jeans, so chic!
can you do a video on skirts and boots please???
That's a great idea! Thanks for watching :)

Where did you get the black boots that you show looks better with dresses?
These are from a few seasons ago, Paige booties from Nordstrom. The newer style is really similar: bit.ly/3pgekYd
I really love all of your beautiful jeans and I love your gorgeous footwear as well.
Thank you!

Great point! I didn’t touch on how tight the boot is around the ankle vs a wider pair, thanks for the comment!
Hi, what is the brand and model of the shoe on 59 second. It is a beautiful shoe, could be a good gift for my wife, MERRY CHRISTMAS 🤶 🎄 😊
Hi! They are from last season so I don't have an exact match but these are very similar: bit.ly/3pgekYd
Thank you very much for your response. Happy new year.

I’m 63 and just bought a pair of combat boots! 😜
When to boot and jean meet its called a “meet n greet”
Cuuute
I just can’t do a ankle length pants if you are heavier it makes you look bigger and dumpy.
Wear what you feel good in! I feel dumpy in a lot of the new styles so it's definitely been tricky finding the perfect pair.

Leg warmers work for me under jeans!

So I have hipssssss I look weird
Do you wear socks with your boots
Depends on the boots TBH. I typically do but there are a few pairs I don't.
I have fat ankles, so showing my ankles is pretty darn embarrassing for me. My ankles need to be covered at all times.
