For such an old plane the cockpit is really clean and well designed
Cap Ref ADF Nav and equipment: aircraft use a loop antenna and a sense antenna. The loop antenna radiation pattern has two nulls therefore there's ambiguity in navigation, therefore a sense antenna is combined to make a resulting cardioid pattern with only one null and therefore points to the beacon that is tuned in.

This is the bit from the manual in regards to the emergency gear up button:
"In the real F-86, the emergency gear retraction system was designed to allow the landing gear to be retracted during maintenance as well as during engine failure on takeoff when the engine failed at rotation speed on a short runway and there was not enough room to stop. The early ejection seats were not survivable at ground level. Therefore, the emergency gear retraction system was implemented to give pilots a chance if they lost an engine on takeoff."

Man i love old old jets specially the Sabre, both the 86 and the 100,they were deadly.
Nice! The F-86 and Mig-15 duels are some of my favorites.
WRT the sight selector for guns, rockets and bombs - is the HI/LO/TR not to do with closure rates of the target relative to you. I seem to recall in AA gun training we had to set that.
Also the thing that looks like a handle on the canopy frame, also present in the A10, looks like a CBOT (Cockpit Break Out Tool)

Happy new year!
you too :)
That was awesome thanks! Learning the Sabre now and this helps a lot!
Happy New Year to you all
Nice job! Might want to review the stick buttons as well.
Happy New Year Cap ! Good luck in the new year !!
I can’t make the heading correction knob to work. Everything else works great. Is it a way to fix it?
Chronometer...LOL. We call them clocks.
Wow this is early
What happend to the Winwing ad?
Will return in a couple of weeks :)
@@grimreapers nice to hear
WHAT THE HELL DOES MODERNIZED MEAN IN THIS CONTEXT
No need to shout.
its a way to differentiate from his older videos with some aircraft being different from when he last did this style video. Also helps him keep track as he can see what video is the new one and which one isnt
Just a guess - redone due to improvements/changes in Cap's tutorial-making approach and potential changes, i.e. added systems, in the DCS module?
Crap old vid replaced with modern slicker vid.
how to use fuel bags or switch to them ?
