9:39 - suggestion - I hope you do a follow up on how accurate this data is after a race event. Just curious if it helped over estimated. Great review honest take on stamina 🤣 but could it give mental push if you felt had nothing left . I agree on the touch screen, i would just use it for maps. I like using the buttons. But wont know if i dont upgrade, still using Fenix6s 😅. Those new metrics though look so nice..

Thanks. I have a question: what is the advantage of Garmin 7 (sapphire solar) over forerunner 955? Which is better in regards to heart rate sensor ; the effect of weight? How uncomfortable can it get (the Fenix 7) relative to forerunner 955? For everyday (every night) use? I’m a runner cyclist hiker and mountaineer

What does the standard run screen show you? Does it show your heartrate or just distance timer and pace?

Are you still running? Are you ever going to post videos on running and racing in NYC like you used to? I enjoyed those videos and watching your training progress.

Thanks for the video and insights into the 955. I am torn on solar or non-solar. I understand the glass is different to capture a small percentage of solar energy and the bezel is smaller on the solar to add the solar collector around the screen. Does the different glass impact viewing?

Honestly, you'll never know the difference. That said, I'm not sure how much impact the solar charging has in real life. I got into it a little deeper in my Fenix 6X review. The short version is you need to be in the bright sun for a certain amount of hours each day to get the full benefit.
If they $$ isn't an issue, go for it. If you're stretching to afford the solar, save your money for entry fees.

lol yeah if you're a grown foolish kid like me and like extra unnecessary toys that you probably don't need lol
I'm fighting myself to not get it because I own 3 Garmin's already.

Do you guys recommend heart rate chest sensor?

@@Flypowerish If you do weights in the gym or hiit workouts you need the heart rate chest

Would you consider it to be a downgrade going from my fenix 6x pro solar to the 955?

Interesting question. Based on specs alone, yes. But, do you use the specs offered on the 6XP that are not on the 955, that’s the decision making question.
