In US, they mix lot of different types of sugars together so that one sugar does not show up high in %. If they used one type of sugar that sugar will be at top of label.

The maggots story reminds me of time when me and my brother went on a vacation when we came after a week our whole refrigeration was infested by maggots because apparently my wise brother thought, “oh! Let me switch off the refrigerator” it was a mess, we literally had to throw away that refrigerator because every time we opened the refrigerator it smelled very bad even after cleaning it multiple times.

I'd just like to add in regards to the Korean spicy noodles. You need to start with 2x that's the least spicy, and the level of heat keeps increasing to 3x, 4x etc.
