Iused to have a huge crush on bawa and I'm a geologist and the way bawa destroyed thermohaline. I just don't have a crush on him anymore
Having grown up in Andheri I can always relate to Varun's experiences, right from being born in the same year, the school starting on 13 June and petrichor always reminding you of this (even 20 years later), to the library in 4 Bungalows which only existed for one summer that Varun also visited..to loving the Hangdrum..I feel like we have lived parallel lives!

Fellow geographer here, actually thermocline is a vertical distribution of cold water which gradually starts from 100m and in that phenomenon temperature drops at 0°C. So as bawa was swimming near A&N sea 🌊 and as he said temp was dropped by 1-2°C so it's actually cold water which settles down in any water body as he was 20m down so he must be met with Cold water which flows below warm water.
Is it just me who feels that Bawa is now more fun and relaxed and silly now?
In Seattle, I have seen beautiful the northern lights (even in city lights pollution) - I just went to Alaska to see it few months back and this time I could see it from my home. Luckily Seattle was clear skies and we could see it by naked eye

Totally agree Singapore heat is worst, drenching sweaty and in a minute you get de hydrated. Dry heat of Rajasthan is still okay.

This will probably be my most favourite TISS episode. I live in Kalga village in Parvati valley so listening to Varun talk about his Kheerganga experience was quite relatable. And every one had mountain stories to share so that was a lot of fun 😍🏔️

Crazy weather experience for me in Delhi apart from the obvious crazy smog after Diwali is with monsoon I really like monsoon but School days with heavy rain were always crazy cause either we would get a holiday or go on a adventure trip to just reach school

An abiding memory of a crazy weather situation that I have is Cyclone Aila. It was grey and rainy before the monsoons, there was a lot of flooding, school was off for a bit, no electricity for a while and strong winds.
And I had to go to University in that weather as my supervisor would only say, It's just rain
Oh yess!!! I was in school then. It was first time I saw a cyclone... I remember being shocked there was water everywhere
I was so sad to see the effects of the dust storm especially that hoarding falling. CLIMATE CRISIS HAS ENTERED THE CHAT
