I've now listened to this scene a few times and its so clear that this is heavily scripted. Someone sat down with Rachel and told her that she must be very apologetic and humble, and at the same time Hallie is just being a "Yes" bot, providing verbal reinforcement of the idea that Rachel is not the hateful twit that has been on display for over a year.
I'll believe what I've seen for the past year and consider this to be a clear acting job. And since its clear Rachel isn't a very good actress, this "talk" will fail to impress me or want to watch anything that involves Miz Zeigler.

I have made about 20 gmail accounts, 10 of which have become so toxic with some of the things I have said that I deleted them completely. Now, I don't delete the toxic accounts I just make new ones. FOR SURE she got spoken to by someone. Whether it be someone at Disney, or maybe her agent, or maybe someone in her freaking FAMILY, she got a talking to. And basically this entire "interview" is just these two women patting themselves on the back for however long a time it was. No "tough" questions were asked or answered.

But Zegler is just a walking PR nightmare. She wants to tear down the legacy instead of becoming a part of it, and she creates problems and drama where there wouldn't have been any. Even if the writers bring their A game, I don't think there's any way Disney can save this movie from the damage Zegler has done to it. She already pushed too many people away for it to be a success.
