Not even the slew of top tier support actors could elevate the script, directing and editing. The film was barely promoted because it was simply 'meh' as a whole, which are films that all big actors make... most people just don't see them or know about them. It also didn't flop, it didn't perform as well as the studios wanted. An important distinction. Carano's profile (and ability) is much higher than it was back then. She won't get any big roles because the studios HATE her personally so all sales logic goes out the window, and independent cinema can't afford the budgets needed for roles like that. That's all there is to it really. She can still have a rewarding career in independent cinema with loads of interesting roles if she's willing to accept sub $100k for 6 weeks work (most known actors won't).

SAG admitted waivers had nothing to do with renown of cast/size of budget but said they gave into all demands when it's screeners who pay residuals. No publicity. Now a media conglomerate gets a waiver? So was this really about SAG wanting 57c from every streaming sub worldwide regardless if they view US content or not? If granted they'll screw over non US streaming subs and non US actors.
